Lunch Period and Breaks. 3.6.1 Each employee who works more than five (5) hours per work day shall be entitled to an unpaid lunch period consisting of at least one-half hour as scheduled by his/her immediate supervisor. An employee who works five or less hours per work day shall not be required to take a lunch break.
Lunch Period and Breaks. 11.01 During eight (8) hour shifts, the Company will grant an unpaid lunch period of not less than thirty (30) minutes within the first five (5) hours of any regularly scheduled shift. When there is a twelve (12) hour shift in effect, employees shall receive two (2) paid breaks that are fifteen (15) minutes each and a thirty (30) minute paid lunch break.

Members of the bargaining unit shall receive two paid breaks consisting of a 15-minute work break for the first four hours of work and a second 15-minute work break for the second four hour period worked. Members of the bargaining unit shall receive a one-half hour non-paid lunch period. Bargaining unit members may combine breaks with the lunch period for the purpose of taking an extended lunch period with the agreement of the supervisor (or the supervisor's designee) in each instance, providing that the agreement will not reduce the hours worked by the employees to less than eight (or ten) hours per day. Break times and lunch periods shall be posted with the weekly schedule. Management retains the right to change posted break times and lunch periods as needed. Employees shall not be required to report to designated areas for breaks or lunch. However, employees shall not be permitted to eat and drink in areas where such activity is prohibited. Employees shall be permitted to leave the building during lunch breaks aslong as the time allocated is not exceeded. Any employee leaving the building must leave and return via a door designated by management.
Lunch Period and Breaks. All employees who work a minimum of six (6) hours per day shall be guaranteed a minimum of thirty (30) minute duty-free unpaid lunch period. All employees working six (6) to eight (8) hours per day will be entitled to two fifteen (15) minute relief times. Employees working three (3) hours, but less than six (6) hours per day shall receive one fifteen (15) minute relief time. Employees working overtime will be entitled to an additional fifteen (15) minute relief time for every three (3) hours worked. An individual employee and his or her supervisor may mutually agree to vary lunch and relief times, provided the supervisor may at any time revoke such agreement. Employees in a particular work area shall be allowed to waive the lunch period if scheduled such that one hour or less remains in the scheduled work day and leave the work-place thirty (30) minutes early, provided such waiver does not cause an increase in remaining employees workload. Employees must remain on district property during all paid breaks unless advanced permission is granted by the employee’s supervisor.
Lunch Period and Breaks. Employees working 5 or more hours per day shall be provided an unpaid lunch period of 30 minutes, the lunch period to be exclusive of the workday as designated. Paraprofessionals and job coaches are entitled to paid breaks of 5 minutes for each hour worked to a maximum of 30 minutes each day. Banking of lunch and/or break times as a regular practice, in order to leave before the end of an employee’s contract day will not be allowed.
Lunch Period and Breaks. 18.08 The unpaid lunch period for full-time employees and part-time employees working six (6) continuous hours or more shall be one (1) hour and it shall be taken between the third and the sixth hour of the shift as scheduled by the Company. Shorter lunch periods may be mutually agreed upon by the Union and local management. A part-time employee working a six (6) continuous hour shift will have the option to combine the two (2) fifteen (15) minute relief breaks as a half-hour paid meal period.

Lunch Period and Breaks. Each employee will be provided a paid 15-minute duty free break period for each 3-hour period of service, with a maximum of two breaks per day. Employees may not work through their breaks to shorten their day and missed 15 minute breaks cannot be made up at a later time. Each employee will have a scheduled 1/2-hour unpaid lunch break provided daily that will be automatically deducted from the daily total at the end of each shift in the time clock system. An employee who misses their scheduled 1/2- hour unpaid lunch break may take the 1/2 hour lunch break at a different time on that same day. Food service assigned to cafeteria duty will be paid in lieu of a lunch break.
Lunch Period and Breaks. Management will insure that employees will receive at least a one-half (1/2) hour lunch period during their regularly scheduled tour of duty. Consistent with a normal work schedule, such period shall begin within the five and one-half (5-1/2) hour period following the start of the employee's tour of duty. If, in the opinion of the supervisor, it becomes necessary to postpone the lunch period, the regular work day may be shortened by the length of the normal lunch period. Lunch periods shall begin at the time the employee ceases performing his or her assigned duties. The employee is expected to be at his or her work assignment ready to work at the end of the lunch period. Travel or clean up time shall not extend the lunch period. At the discretion of the supervisor, crews working at remote sites may combine a break period with the lunch period to accommodate travel time. Reasonable time for breaks from work will be granted. This will normally consist of a total of two

Normally 12 lunch breaks will be scheduled between 11:00 am and five hours after starting time. 14 Every eight (8) hour work period shall include a one (1) hour paid lunch period 15 approximately mid-way through the eight (8) hour shift during which time the employee is 16 not on duty or on-call. 18 There shall be two (2) fifteen (15) minute rest periods on each workday. The time 19 represents actual time away from the employee's regular duties. Break periods may not 20 be scheduled immediately before or after the meal period or at the start or end of a shift.
