Minimum Daily Hours. The Employer shall make every reasonable effort to schedule employees for shifts of a minimum of four (4) hours.
Minimum Daily Hours. An employee starting work on any day and being sent home before completion of their scheduled shift, shall be paid for the actual hours worked or a minimum of four hours.
Minimum Daily Hours. An employee is entitled to be paid for a minimum of four hours at the regular wage, if the employee starts work unless the work is suspended for a reason completely beyond the Employer's control, including unsuitable weather conditions.
Minimum Daily Hours. (a) Subject to the exceptions set forth in this Section, any employee reporting for work on his regular shift shall receive a minimum of four (4) hours' pay at his regular wage rate.
(b) Any employee completing the first half of his regular shift, and who commences work on the second half of his regular shift, shall receive a minimum of eight (8) hours' pay at his regular wage rate, provided that: PROVIDED THAT if four or eight hours in (a) or (b) above is not available at his regular job, the employee shall perform such temporary work as may be assigned to him to qualify for such pay. The provisions of this Section shall not apply in the event of an emergency such as fire, flood, power failure, etc., beyond the control of the Company or if:
A. He voluntarily quits or lays off; or is discharged for cause,
B. He was previously instructed not to report, and in any such event or circumstance he shall be paid for the actual time worked at regular wage rates.
Minimum Daily Hours. (a) The Board is committed to providing a minimum of four hours of work for a regular continuing Employee reporting for work and for a temporary Employee reporting for work who has posted into the position.
(b) Exemptions from the four hour minimum:
(i) small schools with fewer than 75 students in which case a two hour minimum will apply
(ii) Strong Start Facilitator positions
(iii) Other positions by mutual agreement
(c) The four hours will be consecutive but may exclude a lunch period of up to one hour. Bus driver are exempt from the requirement for consecutive hours. The daily hours for bus drivers shall be completed within a period of 12 consecutive hours.
(d) Additional hours of less than four hours may be posted as “extra hours” and are available to Employees who are able to accept the hours, in addition to their current assignment.

(b) Exemptions from the four-hour minimum:
(i) student/noon hour supervisor.
(ii) small schools with fewer than seventy-five (75) students in which case a two-hour minimum will apply.
(iii) other positions by mutual agreement.
(c) The four (4) hours shall be consecutive but may exclude a lunch period up to one (1) hour or a shorter period as defined elsewhere in the Collective Agreement.

(b) Exemptions from the four (4)-hour minimum:

(ii) Strong Start Facilitator positions
(iii) Other positions by mutual agreement in writing
(c) The four (4) hours will be consecutive but may exclude a lunch period of up to one (1) hour. Bus drivers are exempt from the requirement for consecutive hours. The daily hours for bus drivers shall be completed within a period of twelve (12) consecutive hours.
(d) Additional hours of less than four (4) hours may be posted as “extra hours” and are available to Employees who are able to accept the hours, in addition to their current assignment.
Minimum Daily Hours. An employee reporting for work shall receive the employee's regular hourly rate of pay for the entire period spent at the place of work, with a minimum in any one (1) day of:
(a) two (2) hours' pay at the employee's regular hourly rate;
(b) if the employee commences work, four (4) hours' pay at the employee's regular hourly rate. These hours shall count to complete the weekly guarantee; e.g., an employee two (2) hours short of his guarantee and starting work would receive an additional two (2) hours above the guarantee.
Minimum Daily Hours. (a) Subject to the exceptions set forth in this Section, any employees reporting for work on their regular shift shall receive a minimum of fifty (50) percent of their regular pay at their regular wage rate.
(b) Any employee completing the first half of their regular shift, and who commences work on the second half of their regular shift, shall receive a minimum of one hundred (100) percent of their regular pay at their regular wage rate. The provisions of this Section shall not apply in the event of an emergency such as fire, flood, power failure, etc., beyond the control of the Company or if the employee(s):
a) voluntarily quits or is laid off; or is discharged for cause,
b) was previously instructed not to report,
c) suspended for cause or leaves the workplace without permission,
d) reports to work unable or unfit to perform their duties,
e) report to work without prior permission prior to expiration of the minimum shift break,
f) requests and is granted early leave,
g) refuses temporary work that is available, and in any such event or circumstance they shall be paid for the actual time worked at their regular wages.
Minimum Daily Hours a) Where an employee reports for a shift and no work is available, such employees shall be paid a minimum of two (2) hours.
b) In the event the employee commences work, a minimum of four (4) hours shall be paid.
c) If work stops for a reason completely beyond the employer’s control, the employee must be paid for two (2) hours or the actual time worked, whichever is greater.
