CALENDAR AND HOURS. For classified employees the standard work week shall not exceed forty hours. Maintenance Technician, Building Service Aide, Warehouse/Supply Clerk, Shipping/Receiving Clerk, and Safety Officer personnel shall work an eight hour day. All other classified personnel under the Clerical/Secretarial Salary Schedules, Instructional Assistants and the I.T. Technicians under the Classified Salary Schedules shall work a seven hour day. Time, work and lunch schedules shall be fixed and adjusted by the administrator in charge and approved by the Superintendent or his/her designated representative. Meals do not count as hours worked unless required to work. Unpaid lunch time shall not exceed one hour. Any assigned duties beyond the forty hour work week will be compensated for at one and one-half times the hours actually worked. Employees may choose to be paid for extra work or receive compensatory time. Hours for which an employee is compensated for sick leave, but during which he does not actually work, shall not be computed as “worked hours” for the purpose of determining compensatory time.

CALENDAR AND HOURS. A. Teachers shall arrive at school at least twenty-five (25) minutes before 23 classes begin and stay at school twenty-five (25) minutes after school is 24 dismissed. Each school unit shall have the privilege of altering this 25 schedule upon approval of the superintendent so long as the total time 26 remains the same. On Fridays and the day preceding school vacation, all 27 teachers may leave when school buses have vacated the school premises. 28 Special arrangements to leave early may be made with the building 29 principal. The Association and the Board, realizing that care, guidance and 34 supervision of children is a joint responsibility, hereby agree to the 35 following procedure: 36 1. The criteria used to determine utilization of this time shall 5 include the emotional and physiological state of the students, the 6 current learning situation and the individual teacher's schedule of special classes. 8 2. No recess shall exceed fifteen (15) minutes. 9 3. All teachers will participate in the duty schedule. 10 4. Teachers will have a limit of one and one-half (1.5) duties per week H averaged on an annual basis. 12 5. In cases of inclement weather when outdoor play is not in the best 13 interest of the students, the principal may assign up to 30% of the 14 staff to aid within the building, and this duty will not be 15 considered part of the one and one-half (1.5) duty assignments per 16 week. 17 6. It shall be the mutual responsibility of the Association and the 18 Board to make changes necessary to carry out the intent of this plan 19 during the life of this contract. 20 C. There shall be no expansion of or additions to the current elementary 21 curriculum without an equivalent and corresponding reduction. A committee 22 composed of five (5) elementary teachers selected by the FHEA president 23 and five (5) administrators selected by the superintendent will be 24 charged to review implementation. As elementary curriculum changes are 25 suggested this committee will discuss such changes and make 26 recommendations to the assistant superintendent for personnel and the 27 chief negotiator for the FHEA as to their implementation. 28 D.   • Extra Hours For the purpose of Clause 20.13, extra hours means any hours available to be worked in excess of an employee’s regular schedule. The Corporation shall determine the extra hours it requires in each circumstance, and offer such hours to employees working in that Post Office in accordance with the provisions of this Clause. (a) On each occasion that extra hours are to be worked, opportunities to work the extra hours are to be offered to employees who notify the Postmaster beforehand of their availability, on the basis of the first opportunity to the employee who works the greatest number of regularly scheduled hours per week, last opportunity to the employee who works the least number of regularly scheduled hours per week. (b) Where two (2) or more employees are working the same number of hours per week, the opportunity shall be first offered to the employee with the longest continuous employment in that Post Office save that an employee who was formerly full-time and whose hours were reduced in accordance with Clause 12.05(a)(i) shall have priority. (i) In the application of this Clause, it is understood that a Part-Time Assistant shall be granted an opportunity to work extra hours provided that the extra hours do not conflict with her regular schedule, and provided she does not work more than eight (8) hours per day, or forty (40) hours per week. (ii) Subject to Clause 20.13(c)(i) the Part-Time Assistant who is granted the first opportunity to work extra hours should, while the opportunity lasts, end up working a total number of hours that is not less than the total number of hours worked by the Part-Time Assistant who accepts the second opportunity, and so on for each subsequent opportunity granted. (d) Where all the extra hours to be worked cannot be covered by application of the principle expressed in (a), employees may be assigned to work the extra hours that cannot be covered, and/or those hours may be covered by other means. (e) Application of this Clause entails no obligation on the part of the Corporation for equal distribution of extra hours.

  • Hours For the purposes of an unpaid 7.5-hour shift, the deduction from pay shall equate to 9.375 hours. (f) Tour Exchange

  • Opening hours The restaurant must inform Xxxxxx Xxx Ltd of its hours of operation (the “Opening Hours”), and of any changes to such Opening Hours. If the hours of operation are stated on the menu, Xxxxxx Xxx Ltd shall be entitles to treat these as the Opening Hours unless the Restaurant informs Xxxxxx Xxx Ltd otherwise.

  • DAYS AND HOURS OF WORK The standard workweek for workers occupying full-time positions consists of 40 hours unless otherwise specified by the Board of Supervisors. The appointing authority shall fix the hours of work with due regard for the convenience of the public and the laws of the State and the County. Workers occupying part-time positions shall work such hours and schedules as the Board and the appointing authority shall prescribe.

  • Working Days Without prejudice to clause 9.1, where the Authority funds the delivery of this Contract using European Social Fund (ESF) funds or in its role as a Co-financing Organisation uses this contract as a match for ESF provision, either at the outset of the contract or at any point during the life of the contract, the Contractor and any Sub-contractors appointed by it shall be bound by the corresponding additional requirements detailed within relevant Contractor Guidance, including the maintaining of records until at least 31 December 2023.

  • WAGES AND HOURS Wage rates established at the beginning of the Work will not be changed without the approval of the Owner. The Work will be performed on a 40-hour week basis insofar as possible and no overtime will be worked without prior approval of the Owner. This Section shall not be applicable in the event that this Agreement provides for a lump-sum or unit price agreement for the Work.

  • Working Day Working Day means a day other than a Saturday, Sunday, or a holiday which is observed by the construction industry in the area of the Place of the Work.

  • Overtime Hours Except as otherwise provided in this section, all hours worked in excess of the established work day, before or after an employee's regular scheduled shift, or on any regularly scheduled day off, shall be considered overtime. All paid vacation time, paid holidays, paid sick leave, compensatory time off, and paid leaves of absence shall be considered as "time worked" for purposes of this Article. Part-time employees whose established work day is less than eight (8) hours shall not be considered to be working overtime until having completed eight (8) hours of work.

  • WEEKEND AND HOLIDAY DELIVERIES Unless otherwise specified in the Bid Specifications or by an Authorized User, deliveries will be scheduled for ordinary business hours, Monday through Friday (excluding legal holidays observed by the State of New York). Deliveries may be scheduled by mutual agreement for Saturdays, Sundays or legal holidays observed by the State of New York where the Product is for daily consumption, an emergency exists, the delivery is a replacement, delivery is late, or other reasonable circumstance in which event the convenience of the Authorized User shall govern.
