OVERTIME AND SHIFT DIFFERENTIAL. A. Any Officer called in to work from off duty shall receive a minimum three (3) hours pay or compensatory time off at the discretion of the Officer. Time is paid at time and one-half and is regardless of actual time spent on duty. B. When an Officer works in excess of his/her normally scheduled shift he/she will be entitled to compensatory time off or paid compensation at the rate of time and one half the time so worked. C. Additional work will be offered to the on-duty shift on a revolving seniority basis whenever practical. When overtime requires unique skills, only those Officers with those skills will be offered the opportunity to work that time. It is the intent of this section to afford a reasonably even opportunity to participate in excess time to all Officers; however, off- duty Officers will be utilized when on-duty Officers request to be relieved. X. Xxxxx Differential will be paid at the rate of seven percent (7%) for entire shifts worked outside the 0500-1800 weekday shift. Shift differential pay shall be added into the annual salary and paid bi-weekly. E. Supervisory Coverage: At any time three (3) or more employees are scheduled to work a supervisor will also be scheduled to provide adequate supervision. Firefighter/Acting Officers will only be appointed when there are no off-duty supervisors available for call in to duty. F. It is mutually agreed that it may be advantageous to the Board to have Officers respond to calls when not on duty. Such Officers are not required to respond except when recalled to duty. These voluntary responses will be treated as casual events for which compensatory time will be issued but may be treated as paid overtime at the discretion of the Officer.

OVERTIME AND SHIFT DIFFERENTIAL. 16.01 Overtime work shall be on a voluntary basis. 16.02 For all employees, hourly rates shall be determined by dividing the gross annual pay of the employee by 1,820 hours. 16.03 Overtime for employees shall be paid in accordance with Clause 16.04 of this Article when they are specifically requested to work by their Department Manager in excess of their regular scheduled hours per day. Employees shall be provided, on request, with a copy of the official completed weekly overtime slip for their own personal records. Such requests shall be made in the morning of the first working day following overtime. Each employee may: (a) work such overtime and receive payment for additional hours worked. (b) take compensating time off at a date mutually agreeable with the Manager or as provided in Clause

OVERTIME AND SHIFT DIFFERENTIAL. Overtime 21.1 An employee who is non-exempt for Fair Labor Standards Act purposes will be paid overtime at 21.2 A supervisor shall not require a work schedule change for the purpose of avoiding the payment of overtime. However, a supervisor and employee may mutually agree for the employee to flex their time consistent with business needs. 21.3 Non-exempt employees entitled to overtime pay may request compensatory time in lieu of overtime pay up to a maximum of seventy-five (75) hours of compensatory time. When used, compensatory time shall be granted on the basis of one and one-half (1.5) hours off for each hour of overtime worked. Any employee offered compensatory time may instead choose to receive pay. Use of compensatory time is subject to supervisory approval and should be requested consistent with department policies for requesting leave. Upon separation from employment, employees shall be entitled to compensation for any unused compensatory time accumulated under this subsection. 21.4 Employees will be paid an hourly differential of $1.25 for all hours that they are routinely scheduled or directed to work between 4:30 PM and 10:00 PM. 21.5 Employees in an on-call status who are not routinely scheduled to work between 4:30 PM and 10:00 PM will be paid an hourly differential of $1.25 for any hours that they are scheduled or directed to work between 4:30 PM and 10:00 PM. 21.6 Employees will be paid an hourly differential of $1.50 for all hours that they are routinely scheduled or directed to work between 10:00 PM and 6:00 AM. 21.7 Employees in an on-call status who are not routinely scheduled to work between 10:00 PM and 6:00 AM will be paid an hourly differential of $1.50 for any hours that they are scheduled or directed to work between 10:00 PM and 6:00 AM. 21.8 Employees who are not routinely scheduled to work between 10:00 PM and 6:00 AM and who are not in an on-call status will be paid an hourly differential of $3.50 for any hours that they are scheduled or directed to work between 10:00 PM and 6:00 AM.
OVERTIME AND SHIFT DIFFERENTIAL. Section 1. Overtime shall occur only with the prior approval of the Borough Administrator or designee. The policy of the Borough is to avoid the occurrence of overtime whenever possible. Section 2. Overtime shall be compensated at one and one half times the base rate of pay except as set forth otherwise herein. If an employee holds multiple titles/positions, they shall not be combined for overtime purposes except as may be required by law. Section 3. The Borough shall comply with applicable law with respect to the determination of overtime. Notwithstanding, the Borough shall pay full time permanent employees as follows: one and one half times the base rate of pay for work in excess 35 hours per week or work on a Saturday; two times the base rate of pay for work on a Sunday; and one and one half times the base rate of pay plus straight time pay for the Holiday, for work on a Borough recognized holiday. Section 4. Part time employees shall be paid overtime strictly in conformity with applicable law. Part time employees shall not receive overtime for work on Saturdays, Sundays or Holidays except as may be required by law. Part time dispatchers shall receive a 15% of base hourly pay shift differential for work on a Sunday. For all borough holidays part time dispatchers shall receive a 25% shift differential in the manner set forth above in lieu of and not in addition to the 15% differential for Sunday work. Said differential shall not be paid for any Sunday or Borough Holiday for which the dispatcher may receive or have received overtime pay during the term of this contract.

The total number of hours banked at any one time shall not exceed thirty-five (35) hours, except with the permission of the Department Manager. Banked overtime may be scheduled to fill unused vacation slots as per Clause 19.11, after the department vacation schedule has been approved. (c) Having elected choice (a) or (b) above, such a decision may not be reversed except as mutually agreed upon between the employee and the appropriate Department Manager.

  • Night Shift Differential Unit 12 employees who regularly work shifts shall receive a night shift differential as set forth below: A. Employees shall qualify for the first night shift pay differential of forty (40) cents per hour where four (4) or more hours of the regularly scheduled work shift falls between 6 p.m. and 12 midnight. B. Employees shall qualify for the second night shift pay differential of fifty (50) cents per hour where four (4) or more hours of the regularly scheduled work shift fall between 12 midnight and 6 a.m. C. A "regularly scheduled work shift" are those regularly assigned work hours established by the department director or designee.

  • Shift Differentials 18.1 Employees whose regularly assigned shifts commence between 1400 and 2159 hours shall receive a shift differential of seventy-five cents (75¢) per hour, and employees whose regularly assigned shifts commence between 2200 and 0559 hours shall receive a shift differential of eighty cents (80¢) per hour. Effective January 1, 2005, for employees whose regularly assigned shifts commence between 2200 and 0559 hours shall receive a shift differential of one dollar ($1) per hour. Overtime shall not be calculated on the shift differential nor shall the shift differential be paid for paid absence from duty such as vacations, general holidays, etc.

  • Shift Differential A. Shift differential will be $.60 cents per hour. B. Employees eligible for shift differential are those whose work shift begins before 6:00 a.m. or ends on or after 7:00 p.m. and are scheduled by their supervisor for a total shift of at least six (6) hours in duration. This shift differential shall not apply to those employees who have requested and have been granted flexible work scheduling.

  • Shift Differential Pay SECTION 1: In addition to compensation provided by the wage schedule, employees working between the hours of 3:00 P.M. and 7:00 A.M. shall be paid a shift differential premium of $.45 (forty-five cents) per hour in addition to the regular pay for those hours. SECTION 2: Employees must work a minimum of 3 (three) hours in order for shift differential to apply.

  • Night Differential An employee shall be paid a night differential, bi-weekly for hours worked between midnight and 7:00 a.m. at a rate of $3.00 per hour. Night differential worked during overtime will be paid at one and one-half (1 ½) times $3.00 and on statutory holidays at two (2) times $3.00.

  • Weekend Differential Employees assigned to State institutions other than Maine State Prison shall be eligible for a weekend differential of fifty cents ($.50) per hour to the base for shifts beginning between 10:00 p.m. Friday and 9:59 p.m.

  • Bilingual Differential When formally assigned in the employee’s position description, an employee assigned to interpret to or from another language to English will receive a differential of five percent (5%) of base pay.

  • Night Shift Premium All hours worked by an employee between ten (10:00) p.m. and seven (7:00) a.m. shall be considered as shift work and paid for at the applicable straight time/overtime rate plus two ($2.00) dollars per hour shift premium for each full hour worked during this period. Night-shift premium shall not be added to the employee’s hourly rate of pay for the purpose of computing overtime pay.

  • Supervisory Differential Adjustment The Appointing Officer shall adjust the compensation of a supervisory employee whose compensation grade is set herein subject to the following conditions:

  • Overtime Premium a) Time and one-half (1/2) shall be paid as follows: 1) For all hours worked over 8 (eight) hours per day. 2) For all hours worked over 40 (forty) hours per week. 3) For all hours worked on Sunday, unless part of the employees regularly scheduled workweek. b) Double time plus holiday pay shall be paid for all hours worked on holidays that are defined in this Agreement.
