Physicians’ Certificates. If a Registered Nurse is absent due to illness:
(a) for three (3) but less than thirty (30) consecutive days, such Nurse shall, on request, submit a certificate from a physician;
(b) for thirty (30) or more consecutive days, such Nurse shall, on request, submit a County prescribed certificate from a physician certifying inability to work and the nature of such illness. A Nurse shall not be entitled to be paid sick leave in that month without furnishing such certificate and so on from month to month in the event the Nurse's illness extends from one month to the next month
Physicians’ Certificates. An employee absent for more than three (3) consecutive working days shall furnish within seven (7) working days from commencement of absence, a certificate from his/her physician covering the duration of illness, with first and last dates the employee was seen by the physician. Physicians’ Certificates. The Company may, at any time, request an employee to provide a physician’s certificate outlining her fitness to continue working during pregnancy or to confirm that an employee is fit to return to her normal job duties following a maternity leave of absence. Where the employee is not fit to continue working in her job or in an alternate position that she is capable of performing, she may be required to commence maternity leave.
Physicians’ Certificates. An employee may be required to produce a certificate from a medical doctor certifying that she/he was unable to carry out her/his duties due to illness after 3 days. The Employer shall be responsible for paying the direct cost of such a medical certificate it has required.

The employer agrees to provide reimbursement up to a maximum of twenty dollars ($20) for any physician’s note required by the Company, conditional upon the employee providing an acceptable receipt of payment Employees working a twelve (12) hour schedule will normally work 110 hours/year in excess of the 2080 hours used to calculate an employee’s regular hourly rate, provided no time is missed from the twelve (12) hour scheduled, other than plant holidays, vacation, or bereavement, 0.05 hours of AOT will be deducted from the total potential AOT of 110 hours. EMPLOYER HEALTH TAX In the event that the Government of Ontario replaces the current Employer Health Tax with a new health care funding arrangement, the Company and the Union agree to meet to negotiate a fair and reasonable solution. JOB POSTINGS Any new job, or a job created as a result of a permanent vacancy will be posted and awarded based on seniority. PERSONNEL FILES All employees shall have access to their personnel files. Should an employee wish to view his file or copy items in his file, he may do so during the hours between 9:00 A.M. - 12:00 and l:00 P.M. - 4:00 P.M., Monday to Friday. An employee must give twenty- four hours (24) notice he wishes to view his personnel file. ACTING CHIEF When the Chief Engineer is absent from the plant such that the Company is required, under the provisions of the Operating Engineers Regulation, to replace him, and the Company decides to assign the role of acting chief to a member of the Bargaining Unit, then the assignment shall to be to the Day Maintenance/Shift relief Engineer. If the Day Maintenance/Shift relief Engineer is not scheduled, it shall be offered in accordance with the overtime provisions of the Collective Agreement. A member of the Bargaining Unit assigned to be Acting Chief shall, so long as required by regulations, have the same work schedule as the Chief Engineer, and shall receive a ten percent (10%) premium for the time of the assignment. Upon completion of his assignment as Acting Chief, the member of the Bargaining Unit shall return to his regular schedule unless he agrees otherwise with the Company for the purposes of working all normally scheduled hours.
