STAFF VACANCIES. (a) The employer agrees to take reasonable steps to fill temporary vacancies or staff shortages as they occur. Wherever possible the employer will fill vacancies before they arise.
STAFF VACANCIES. 1. When teaching assignments become vacant or new positions are created, the administration shall post the teaching assignment on the district’s bulletin boards for five (5) days and shall e- mail vacancy listing to all teachers. If the vacancy occurs during summer break, the administration shall e-mail and use the district’s automated phone system to inform teachers of vacancies and /or newly created positions.
2. Teachers shall notify the superintendent and/or the building principal in writing of their desire to compete for positions within five (5) days of the conclusion of the posting period.
3. All qualified bargaining unit members who express an interest in a vacant teaching assignment shall be interviewed for the position and shall have first consideration for vacancies.
4. Administration shall consider the bargaining unit member’s training, experience, and individual qualifications to determine if the bargaining unit member is qualified for the position.
5. All teachers who have participated in the interview process for a particular teaching assignment shall be notified in writing of the granting or denial of their request for reassignment.
6. New hires who fill vacancies during the school year shall be subject to displacement at the end of the school year and that particular teaching assignment shall be listed as a vacancy for the ensuing year in the event that a teacher has provided the Superintendent with written notice by May 1st of an interest to fill the vacancy for the next school year.
STAFF VACANCIES. Contractor will be liable to Authority in the amount of $750 per day, computed in accordance with Article 10 for each day Contractor fails to fill the position of SCM, or other Key Staff vacancy. The maximum cumulative monthly under this category shall be capped at $10,000.

STAFF VACANCIES. When school is in session a notice of any vacancy shall be posted in each school at least seven (7) school days before the final date when applications must be submitted. During summer vacation the notice shall be fifteen (15) days. Positions becoming available after August 1 shall be posted. The Association shall be notified, after which the position shall be filled at the Superintendent’s discretion. All qualified employees of Lacey Township shall be given adequate opportunity to make application for promotional positions and no position shall be filled until all properly submitted applications have been considered. The Board agrees to give due consideration to the professional background and attainments of present employed staff.
STAFF VACANCIES. Any Administrator in the school district may apply for any position posted in the district. Providing the applicant meets the requirements of the position, s/he shall be granted an interview. If all qualifications are equal, as determined by the Board without malice or prejudice, s/he shall be granted the position.
STAFF VACANCIES. A. To fill a vacancy within the system, the following criteria shall be considered: proper certification, qualifications and seniority.
B. Teachers desiring to be transferred to fill a vacancy in the system must file a written request with the Superintendent of Schools.
C. Vacancies of position which are caused by death, a retirement, discharge, resignations or by the creation of a new position shall be filled pursuant to the following procedures:
1. The existence of vacancies of position shall be adequately publicized, both within and outside the system, including a notice in every school (by posting or otherwise) as far in advance of the date of filling such vacancy as possible. Internal postings shall be posted at least one calendar week in advance of external postings. Internal and external postings may occur simultaneously for any vacancy that occurs after August 1. When the need to fill a vacancy of position arises during the summer months, notifications shall be by school email to all teachers.
2. Said notice of vacancy of position shall clearly set forth the qualifications for the position.
STAFF VACANCIES. Where Council has a staff vacancy, the vacancy will be advertised internally and externally at the same time.
STAFF VACANCIES. 5.02.01 All vacancies (teaching and supplemental/extra-curricular) including newly created positions, during the school year shall be made known to employees by a posting in each building on a bulletin board readily visible to staff, at the Central Office, and a posting sent to school e-mail addresses. All certified vacancies will also be posted on xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx.xxx website. Vacancies, as above described, shall be posted for at least five (5) business days.
5.02.02 This policy is intended to communicate with the employees as fully as possible regarding vacancies, but does not restrict the administrative staff in emergency situations. In the case of an emergency, the Superintendent or his/her designee shall talk with the Association President or his/her designee of the existence of the emergency to discuss possible waiving of the five (5) business day posting.
5.02.03 Members of the existing staff who are interested in posted positions shall submit a written statement to the Superintendent indicating the position desired and their qualifications within five (5) days after the position is posted, three (3) business days after July 10. Employees who respond to the posting will be given an opportunity to interview if the employee is certified and/or licensed for the position. If an employee is not selected for the position, the employee may request a meeting with the appropriate administrator to discuss the reason(s) that he/she was not selected for the position.
5.02.04 Nothing herein shall be interpreted as compelling the Board to fill any vacancy. The Board has the sole decision-making authority to determine whether a vacancy exists and whether that vacancy will be filled.
