Time Between Shifts. 7 There shall be a minimum of eight (8) hours between regular scheduled shifts. 8 Employees who have completed their regular shift and are required to work an additional 11 their next shift and only occurs when the next regular shift begins within twelve (12) hours 1 ARTICLE 15
Time Between Shifts. (a) An employee who has completed a shift (that may include a contiguous period of overtime at the end of the shift) or a period of non-contiguous overtime after the shift shall not be required to resume work until nine (9) hours have elapsed from the time the shift or overtime period was completed. This will not apply to employee requested shift changes.
(b) No loss of regular wages will be incurred as a result of (a) above. This will not apply to employee requested shift changes.
(c) In exceptional circumstances, and with the employee’s consent, the nine (9) hour rest entitlement described in (a) above may be waived. In such instances, the employee will be compensated at the double time rate or all subsequent work performed that encroaches on a nine (9) hour rest period.
Time Between Shifts. It is mutually agreed that there will be a minimum of twelve (12) hours between the finishing time and start up time of each regular employee (no back to back shifts) unless the employee so agrees.
Time Between Shifts. Unless the employee volunteers or agrees, employees will 21 receive a minimum of eight (8) hours’ rest before starting their next shift.

Time Between Shifts. A. Normally, employees shall not be required to report to work unless they have had at least eleven (11) hours of off duty time between scheduled work tours. Exceptions may be made by mutual agreement between the employee and the employee’s supervisor.
B. When an employee chooses to invoke the eleven (11) hours between shifts after working an overtime shift, the reporting time for the scheduled shift that starts at the end of the eleven (11) hour off duty time will be adjusted to reflect the eleven (11) hours between shifts without loss to the employee.
C. The employee will notify the supervisor or their designee of their decision at the start of the overtime shift if they will be choosing the eleven (11) hours of time off between shifts by adjusting the start of the scheduled shift at the end of the eleven (11) hours of off duty time or the option of using leave.
Time Between Shifts. An employee shall have a minimum of ten (10) hours off before having to report for duty on said employee's next regular scheduled shift. The above does not apply to call-in situations, or to a continuation of work at the end of presently scheduled shifts. Additionally, exceptions may be made in emergency situations with the approval of the Chief and/or at any other time by mutual agreement between the employee and the Chief. An employee scheduled to report back to duty without the required ten hours off, shall be compensated at time and one-half for those hours in conflict with the ten-hour rule. For example: An officer is scheduled to work 3:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. one day and 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. the following day (eight off-duty hours between shifts). The officer will be paid time and one-half for the first two hours of his/her shift (7:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m.) and will be paid at the regular straight-time rate for the hours worked from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
Time Between Shifts. When an employee required by the Hospital to change shifts, sixteen (16) hours shall be allowed between shifts. If, however, an employee is required to report on a second less than sixteen (16) hours after finishing the first shift, the employee shall be paid at overtime rates for the period worked before the hour allowed for the shift change has the case of Dietary Department, the time off will be hours between shifts, so as to allow more consecutive working days for those employees. Shift schedules shall not be changed without the knowledge of the employee. Management reserves the right to reschedule up to (48) hours prior to any shift No employee shall be compelled to work more than eight (8) consecutive shifts unless agreed.
Time Between Shifts. An Employee who works beyond the regular ending time of a shift and who has less than seven (7) hours before the beginning of his next scheduled shift, may request to report late for the next shift. Approval of the request is at the discretion of the on-duty O.I.C. The time the Employee is to report to work must be established by mutual agreement, but is not to exceed the length of time the Employee worked beyond the end of the shift.
