Uniform Allowance and Equipment. 27.01 Employees shall be entitled to an annual uniform allowance of $1,000.00 payable in equal installments of $500.00 in the first paycheck in January and July of each calendar year. During the first year of employment, probationary employees shall not receive this allowance. During the probationary employee’s second year, such employee shall receive $400.00 payable in equal installments of $200.00 in the next two normally scheduled uniform allowance payments. 27.02 The Employer will continue to purchase and replace those items of fire equipment and turnout gear as in the past such as, coats, pants, nomex shell, vapor barrier, quilted nomex liner with quilted winter liner, boots (bunker style), helmet (fire style, eye glass protection from sparks, heat); neck and head protection from falling objects, or items that are equal or better than the above. 27.03 The Employer shall reimburse an employee who has personal clothing or equipment, which is necessary for his job performance, damaged substantially, destroyed or lost, while on duty up to a maximum of one hundred and fifty dollars ($150.00) per year. This paragraph shall not apply to those items of clothing or equipment normally part of the employee’s uniform or equipment that is purchased under paragraph 27.01, above. 27.04 The Employer shall order (buy) a full complement of uniforms and order (buy) or supply a full set of “turn out” gear to each newly hired employee within thirty (30) days of hire, unless unavailable for delivery. Uniform allotment to be issued within thirty (30) days of hire: 3 Shirts (Short sleeve) 1 Tie 3 Name plates 3 Badges 1 Hat badge Complete Class “A” to be purchased by employee upon successful completion of probation, must have by ninety (90) days after. 27.05 Class A dress uniforms shall be bought by the employee ninety (90) days after probation. Uniform Allowance and Equipment. 8.1 Uniform Allowance‌ Existing uniform requirements affecting employees covered by this Agreement shall be enforced for the life of this Memorandum of Understanding. Grooming standards will be set by the Departments. All personnel will receive annually a nine hundred dollars ($900) uniform allowance payment and will commence responsibility for uniform purchase, replacement and maintenance. Thereafter, the uniform allowance will be at the rate of nine hundred ($900) per year. The uniform allowance will be prorated for any unpaid leave of absence of one or more full pay periods. The County shall provide all necessary protective clothing to employees in classifications as required by law under Cal OSHA, Title A, Article 10. The County shall continue to pay the cost of repairing or replacing uniforms, clothing and equipment which have been damaged, lost, or destroyed in the line of duty.

In addition to the Uniform Allowance, the County will provide arm patches for those employees covered by this Agreement. C. Any unused portion of this allowance shall be carried over to the following year on an individual basis in accordance with Department regulations. Items to be covered include: Uniform outer coats, uniform coat and trousers and uniform shirts and ties. E. Effective April 13, 2005, the Employer will provide Bite Sticks and other appropriate equipment to Animal Control Officers for appropriate use. F. All new Animal Control vehicles used by bargaining Unit members to perform their assigned duties will be equipped with power windows, locks, mirrors and tilt steering.
Uniform Allowance and Equipment. The Village will provide full-time public works employees with an annual uniform allowance of up to six hundred dollars ($600) per fiscal year which will be provided to affected employees on a reimbursement basis for all approved uniforms and boots. The uniform allowance will be paid to the employee on a reimbursement basis upon presentation of a paid receipt for approved uniform or boots. The Village will continue to provide reflective/safety shirts, sweatshirts and coveralls. Uniforms and protective equipment provided for employees are to be worn/used only during working hours and for official Village business. The uniform allowance shall not be paid for any pay periods in which the employee is in an unpaid status for the complete pay period. The uniform allowance shall be prorated for code status (full time employee or part time employee). Newly hired employees shall receive the uniform allowance beginning on their pay period of hire. Newly hired employees shall not be paid the uniform allowance retroactively to the first pay period of the payroll calendar year. The County shall provide all necessary protective clothing to employees in classifications as required by law under Cal OSHA, Title A, Article 10.   • Uniform Allowance Where uniforms are required, the Hospital shall either supply and launder uniforms or provide a uniform allowance of per year in a lump sum payment in the first pay period of November of each year.

  • UNIFORMS AND EQUIPMENT Section 1. Sworn employees of the Sheriff’s Office who are assigned to positions requiring a uniform shall receive Agency-provided uniforms and accessories in accordance with Agency policy at no cost to the employee. Uniforms worn out through normal use shall be replaced by the Sheriff’s Office as determined and approved by the supply staff. Section 2. Employees shall be permitted to purchase additional approved uniform pieces, excluding badges, from the Purchasing and Materials Division, provided sufficient quantities are on hand to cover the normal, required provision of uniforms to employees as per Section 1 above. Employees must pay for these items at the time of purchase or order. Section 3. Employees assigned to uniformed positions shall be eligible to receive a uniform maintenance allowance in the amount of $150 per year provided the employee spent at least 182 days of the calendar year in a uniform assignment. This allowance will be paid to all eligible employees in the last paycheck of the calendar year each December during the term of this Agreement. Section 4. The Sheriff’s Office shall issue body armor to employees and replace same in accordance with General Order 5-1. Section 5. In the event an employee leaves the employ of the Sheriff’s Office, he shall return to the Sheriff’s Office all equipment, uniforms and accessories, including those personally purchased by the employee in accordance with Section 2 above. Section 6. Employees whose prescription eyeglasses, contact lenses, hearing aids or watches are lost, damaged, or destroyed in the line of duty, except in cases where employee negligence caused or contributed to same, will be reimbursed for repair or replacement subject to the criteria detailed below. The Sheriff’s Office shall not reimburse for any other personal property lost, damaged or destroyed in the line of duty. The maximum reimbursement for prescription eyeglasses or hearing aids is the actual cost to repair or replace the item or $150, whichever is less. The maximum reimbursement for contact lenses or watches is the actual cost to repair or replace the item or $50, whichever is less. Requests for reimbursement for the personal property shall be made in writing to the employee’s immediate supervisor during the work shift in which the article of personal property was lost, damaged or destroyed. Except in cases of loss or when an item is repairable, the item for which reimbursement is sought should be turned in along with the written request for reimbursement. To aid in establishing the amount to be reimbursed, the employee will be required to provide to the Sheriff’s Office the receipt for the repair or replacement prior to reimbursement which must be approved by the Sheriff or his designee.

  • Furniture, Fixtures and Equipment Sublessee shall have the right to use during the Term the office furnishings and equipment within the Subleased Premises that are identified on Exhibit C attached hereto, as such exhibit may be adjusted by mutual agreement of the parties prior to the Third Floor Premises Delivery Date (the “Furniture”), provided Sublessee may only use the Furniture located in the Second Floor Premises after the Second Floor Commencement Date. The Furniture is provided in its “AS IS, WHERE IS” condition, without representation or warranty whatsoever. Sublessee shall insure the Furniture under the property insurance policy required under the Master Lease, as incorporated herein, and pay all taxes with respect to the Furniture. Sublessee shall maintain the Furniture in good condition and repair, reasonable wear and tear excepted, and shall be responsible for any loss or damage to the same occurring during the Term. Sublessee shall surrender the Furniture to Sublessor upon the termination of this Sublease in the same condition as exists as of the applicable Delivery Date, reasonable wear and tear excepted. Sublessee shall not remove any of the Furniture from the Subleased Premises. Notwithstanding anything to the contrary herein, Sublessee may provide Sublessor with written notice one (1) time not less than forty-five (45) days prior to the Third Floor Premises Delivery Date that lists any items of Furniture that Sublessee does not want to use and Sublessor shall, at no cost to Sublessee, remove such items from the Subleased Premises prior to the Third Floor Premises Delivery Date and such items shall no longer be considered Furniture hereunder. Notwithstanding the foregoing, provided Sublessee is not in default beyond the expiration of any applicable cure or grace period as of the date of the expiration or earlier termination of this Sublease, which condition may be waived by Sublessor in its sole discretion, then upon the expiration or earlier termination of this Sublease, the Furniture shall become the property of Sublessee, and Sublessee shall accept the same in its “AS IS, WHERE IS” condition, without representation or warranty whatsoever except as provided in the Bill of Sale referred to in the following sentence. In the event the Furniture is to become the property of Sublessee upon the expiration or earlier termination of this Sublease pursuant to the terms of the immediately preceding sentence, then Sublessor agrees to execute and deliver to Sublessee a Bill of Sale in the form of Exhibit D attached hereto conveying and transferring to Sublessee the Furniture.

  • SERVICES AND EQUIPMENT 15.01. Landlord, at its own cost and expense shall: (a) Provide full passenger elevator service (i.e., five (5) Passenger elevator cars, subject to the provisions of Section 15.03) from 8:00 A.M. to 6:00 P.M. on all Business Days with two (2) passenger elevators available at all other times. Landlord may designate local and express stops for elevators and may change such designation of express and local stops from time to time. Landlord agrees that, except in an emergency situation, Landlord shall not grant permission for any construction items or materials or for any workmen carrying the same to be transported by use of the passenger elevator cars. At times other than during Business Hours of Business Days up to one (1) elevator car in Tenant’s elevator bank may be used for the transport of construction workers or materials; provided that such elevator car shall be properly cleaned before the beginning of the next Business Day. Landlord will use a first class standard for elevator maintenance. (b) Provide freight elevator service to the Premises on a first come-first served basis (i.e., no advance scheduling) during the Building’s normal freight elevator hours (i.e., 8 A.M. to 12:00 P.M. and 1:00 P.M. to 4:30 P.M.) of Business Days. Freight elevator service shall also be provided to the Premises on a reserved basis at all other times, upon the payment of Landlord’s then established charges therefor which shall be Additional Charges hereunder. As of the date hereof, Landlord’s charge for overtime freight elevator service is at the rate of $200 per hour subject to increase in proportion to increases in Landlord’s actual costs to provide same. Any request for overtime freight elevator service shall entail a minimum in the number of hours to the extent the applicable Building Service Union Employee Service contract requires a minimum number of hours per shift. (i) Supply ventilation throughout the year and supply heat and air-conditioning, as seasonally required; but in all events, Landlord shall supply heat from October 15 to April 15 and air-conditioning from April 15 to October 15, from the Building heating, ventilating and air-conditioning system from 8:00 A.M. to 6:00 P.M, on all Business Days in accordance with the specifications attached hereto as Exhibit N and made a part hereof. (ii) In connection with its operation of the existing systems and equipment in the Building, give due consideration to the applicable portions of ASHRAE Standard No. 62-1989 to the extent that the same is implemented or adhered to generally by buildings with similar systems and equipment and of similar age and size. Tenant acknowledges that if it shall fail to keep entirely unobstructed all of the vents, intakes, outlet and grilles in the Premises at all times, or shall fail to comply with and observe all reasonable regulations and requirements prescribed by Landlord for the proper functioning of the heating, ventilating and air-conditioning system, the HVAC services may not meet the standards set forth in the specifications. (d) Provide cleaning services, in accordance with the specifications set forth in Exhibit F hereto, in the Premises and public portions of the Building on all Business Days. (e) Furnish hot and cold water for lavatory and drinking and office cleaning purposes and for use in all pantries and kitchenettes installed by Tenant in the Premises. If Tenant requires, uses or consumes water for any other purposes, Tenant agrees that Landlord may install a meter to measure Tenant’s water consumption, and Tenant further agrees to reimburse Landlord for the reasonable out-of-pocket cost of the meter and the installation thereof, and to pay for the reasonable out-of-pocket maintenance cost of said meter equipment within thirty (30) days after Landlord’s rendition of a xxxx therefor. Tenant shall reimburse Landlord for the water consumed as measured by said meter based upon the actual out-of-pocket cost to Landlord of such water, including any actual out-of-pocket costs incurred by Landlord in connection with the meter readings, and any sewer rents, and all other charges imposed by any authority, on, or measured by, the use of water within thirty (30) days after rendition of a xxxx therefor. (f) Maintain listings on the Building directory of the names of Tenant, or its permitted subtenants, assignees or affiliates and the names of any of their officers and employees, provided that the names so listed shall not use more than Tenant’s Proportionate Share of the space on the Building directory. Tenant shall reimburse Landlord for any actual out-of-pocket costs incurred by Landlord to unaffiliated third parties in connection with changes and additions to such directory listings requested by Tenant. (g) Repaint or retouch, as reasonably required to compensate for ordinary wear and tear and for any damage caused by Landlord, its employees, contractors and agents, all convector covers in the Premises not less frequently than once in every three (3) years; provided, however, that Tenant shall be solely responsible at its expense to remove its property and make such convectors accessible for such painting by Landlord. (h) With respect to the Tenant named herein only, provide at the existing security/concierge desk in the lobby of the Building during all hours other than Business Hours of Business Days personnel to carry out such security procedures as are set forth in Exhibit P hereof and to implement other security measures as Landlord shall from time to time adopt (after consultation with Tenant, but without any obligation to obtain Tenant’s agreement or approval). Notwithstanding that Landlord shall agree to instruct its employees to follow such security procedures as set forth in this Lease, Landlord shall in no way be responsible for any violation of such procedures or circumvention of such Procedures as may occur from time to time at the Building and in no event shall Landlord be liable to Tenant for any loss, injury or damage to Tenant or to any other person as may result from violations or circumventions of the security procedures instituted at the Building as described in this subsection 15.01(h). 15.02. Holidays shall be deemed to mean all those dates designated as holidays by the Board of Governors of the New York Stock Exchange, in addition to dates designated as holidays by the City of New York, State of New York and/or the United States, and in addition shall also include holidays to which maintenance or service employees of the Building are entitled under their union contract or contracts. 15.03. Landlord reserves the right to interrupt, curtail or suspend the services required to be furnished by Landlord under this Article 15 when the necessity therefor arises by reason of accident, emergency, mechanical breakdown, or when required by any law, order or regulation of any Federal, state, county or municipal authority, or for any other cause beyond the reasonable control of Landlord. Except in case of an emergency, Landlord will notify Tenant in advance of any such stoppage, and if ascertainable, its estimated duration. Landlord shall complete all required repairs or other necessary work in accordance with the standards set forth in subsection 13.01(b). Except as set forth in Section 13.03 hereof and subject to the provision of Section 27.03 hereof, no diminution or abatement of rent or other compensation shall or will be claimed by Tenant as a result therefrom, nor shall this Lease or any of the obligations of Tenant be affected or reduced by reason of such interruption, curtailment or suspension. (a) If Tenant shall require heat or air-conditioning services at any time other than as furnished by Landlord in accordance with subsection 15.01(c) hereof, then, if Tenant shall give notice in writing to the Building superintendent prior to 4:00 P.M. in the case of services required on weekdays, prior to 4:00 P.M. on the Friday prior in the case of after hours service recurred on weekends or on holiday Mondays or prior to 4:00 P.M. on the day prior in the case of after hours service recurred on other holidays or weekends following Fridays which are holidays, Landlord shall furnish such service and Tenant shall pay to Landlord upon demand as Additional Charges hereunder Landlord’s then established charges therefor. As of the date hereof, Landlord’s standard rate charged to other tenants in the Building is $600.00 per floor per hour and, except as otherwise provided below in this subsection 15.04(a), requires a four (4) hour minimum and a four (4) floor minimum. Such charge shall be subject to increase in proportion to increases in Landlord’s actual costs to provide same provided however if Landlord charges a future tenant in the Building a lesser rate for the overtime heat or air-conditioning services, then provided Tenant shall agree to be obligated to utilize the same or more overtime heat or air-conditioning services utilized by such future tenant, such charge charged to Tenant shall then and thereafter be reduced to such lesser charge charged to such future tenant. If any other tenant or tenants of the Building in the same zone as Tenant request overtime air-conditioning or heating for any period for which Tenant has requested such service pursuant to the provisions of this subsection 15.04(a), then the Landlord’s charge for overtime HVAC, as set forth above, shall be prorated among Tenant and such other tenant or tenants, as the case may be. Notwithstanding the generality of the foregoing, any request for overtime HVAC service to commence at 6:00 P.M. on any Business Day shall not require or be subject to a “minimum” with respect to hours, but shall still require a four (4) floor minimum. Notwithstanding anything to the contrary contained herein, Tenant shall be entitled to receive overtime HVAC without being required to pay any Additional Charges therefor on up to twelve (12) occasions (each such occasion being of a duration of four (4) hours and applying with respect to four (4) floors in the Premises) during each calendar year to occur during the term of this Lease (prorated on the basis of one (1) such occasion per month with respect to any partial calendar year to occur during the term of this Lease).   • Personal Protective Equipment 64.1 While not being part of any issue of work clothing/equipment supplied (see clause 26), the Employer shall be required to provide personal protective equipment (SAA approved) for use, when necessary for the Employee to perform their required duties including: (a) ear/hearing protection; (b) gloves; and (c) skin protective cream/sun screen (30+/50+ rating). 64.2 In addition, one pair of UV-rated safety glasses or UV-rated clip-ons suitable to overlay prescription spectacles, shall be made available for Employees who are required to work on reflective surfaces such as: (a) metal decking; (b) large concrete slabs exposed to sunlight; (c) roofing; and (d) curtain xxxxxxx.

  • Furniture and Equipment and Certain Other Equipment The Receiver hereby grants to the Assuming Bank an option to purchase all Furniture and Equipment or any telecommunications, data processing equipment (including hardware and software) and check processing and similar operating equipment owned by the Failed Bank at Fair Market Value and located at any leased Bank Premises that the Assuming Bank elects to vacate or which it could have, but did not occupy, pursuant to this Section 4.6; provided, that, the Assuming Bank shall give the Receiver notice of its election to purchase such property at the time it gives notice of its intention to vacate such Bank Premises or within ten (10) days after Bank Closing for Bank Premises it could have, but did not, occupy.

  • CLOTHING AND EQUIPMENT (a) Employees required by the Employer to wear uniforms will be supplied with an adequate number of uniforms appropriate to the occupation free of cost to Employees. Such items are to remain the property of the Employer and be laundered and maintained by such Employer free of cost to the Employee. (b) Instead of the provision of such uniforms, the Employer may, by agreement with the Employee, pay such Employee a uniform allowance at the rate set out in Item 1 of Table 5. This rate is expressed as per shift or part thereof, or as a weekly rate – an Employee is to be paid whichever is the lesser amount. (c) Where an Employee’s uniforms are not laundered by or at the expense of the Employer, the Employee will be paid a laundry allowance. For Aged Care, Health Professionals and Home Care Employees this will be paid at the rate set out in Item 2 of Table 5. This allowance is also expressed as a payment per shift of part thereof of as a weekly payment – an Employee is to be paid whichever is the lesser amount. For Nursing Employees this will be paid at the rate set out in Item 3 of Table 5. (d) The uniform allowance, but not the laundry allowance, will be paid during all absences on paid leave, except absences on long service leave and absence on personal/carer’s leave beyond 21 days. Where, prior to the taking of leave, an Employee was paid a uniform allowance other than at the weekly rate, the rate to be paid during absence on leave will be the average of the allowance paid during the four weeks immediately preceding the taking of leave. (e) Where an Employer requires an Employee to wear rubber gloves, special clothing or where safety equipment is required for the work performed by an Employee, the Employer must reimburse the Employee for the cost of purchasing such special clothing or safety equipment, except where such clothing or equipment is provided by the Employer.

  • Personal Property Reimbursement Employees shall, in proper cases, be reimbursed for the repair or replacement of personal property damaged in the line of duty without fault of the employee. The amount of reimbursement for articles of clothing shall be the depreciated value based on the age and condition of the article. Reimbursement for a watch shall be limited to the functional value of the watch.

  • Office Equipment The Client must not install any cabling, IT or telecom connections without the Provider’s consent, which the Provider may refuse at its absolute discretion.
