WORK SCHEDULES AND POSTING a. The Facility will post work schedules at least thirteen (13) days in advance of their commencement dates and such schedules will cover a minimum period of four (4) weeks. b. After the schedule has been posted, an employee's schedule will not be changed without the employee's consent, except in case of unforeseeable and unavoidable operational needs or emergency. The Employer shall give the employee as much notice as reasonably possible. Notice shall include attempting to contact the employee to inform him/her of the change. c. Requests by employee for changes to a posted schedule must be approved in writing by the department Director or his/her designee. d. A regularly scheduled employee may trade a shift or workday with another regularly scheduled employee provided they have substantially equal competencies. All employee schedule changes must be approved in advance in writing by department Director or designee.

As an exception to a. above, a department/unit that permits self-scheduling in accordance with 3., directly below will attempt to post work schedules at least thirteen (13) days in advance of their commencement dates and such schedules will cover a minimum period of four (4) weeks. c. Wherever applicable, the Facility shall continue its existing practice(s) of permitting Employees to self-schedule on a department/unit-by-department/unit basis provided operational needs are met. The respective department Director or his/her designee will consider and make a reasonable effort to grant Employee' self-scheduling requests, provided such requests are submitted in a timely way. d. After the schedule has been posted, an Employee's schedule will not be changed without the Employee's consent, except in case of unforeseeable and unavoidable operational needs or emergency. WORK SCHEDULES AND POSTING. 1512 The work schedule of the SCNSC will be developed and posted at least 14 days in advance for the next four weeks or calendar month and will reflect holidays and days off of all SCNSC scheduled to work. In a collaborative manner, individual departments can choose to self‐schedule. Final approval for scheduling rests with the individual department manager or supervisor. 1513 If in the interest of efficient operations or due to a change in patient care needs, it becomes necessary to establish schedules departing from the normal schedule, the Employer shall notify and confer with the Association to arrange mutually satisfactory schedules. In unforeseen, extenuating circumstances, the parties will agree to waive the thirty (30) day notice. This language does not mitigate the parties obligation to bargain over the effects of such changes. 1515 SCNSC Status 1516 Full‐time SCNSC is defined as a SCNSC regularly scheduled to work forty (40) hours within the workweek, or eighty (80) hours in the pay period, unless otherwise defined by an alternate shift agreement. 1517 Part‐time SCNSC is defined as a SCNSC regularly scheduled to work less than forty (40) hours per week on a pre‐determined basis, or less than eighty (80) hours in a pay period on a pre‐determined basis, unless otherwise defined by an alternate shift agreement. This is not to imply an guarantee of work week but may be posted as such. 1518 Per Diem SCNSC is defined as a SCNSC who works as a replacement or on an intermittent basis, and works less than one‐thousand forty (1,040) hours per year. However, there could be circumstances in which a SCNSC works more than two‐hundred sixty (260) hours in any one quarter. Whenever possible, the Employer will utilize available Part‐time SCNSC prior to Per Diem SCNSC. 1519 When it is possible to hire qualified personnel for typical schedule openings, Per Diem SCNSC will not be used to fill regular positions in the bargaining unit. WORK SCHEDULES AND POSTING a. The Employer will maintain regularly scheduled hours. Such schedules will cover a minimum period of four (4) weeks. Work schedules will be posted fourteen (14) days in advance of their commencement dates. For those employees whose schedules are fixed, they will be exempt from this requirement. For those employees who schedules vary from week to week, this fourteen day (14) day minimum posting applies. b. Changes to the regular schedule will be made only by agreement between the employee and the Employer. Requests by employees for changes to an approved schedule must be made and approved in writing or online via the scheduling program, if applicable by the department Director or his/her designee. c. A regularly scheduled employee may trade a shift or workday (including Holiday shifts) with another regularly scheduled employee in the same classification provided they have substantially equal competencies and an ability to handle the responsibilities of the shift without any additional training. Such trades are subject to the written or electronic approval of the department Director or his/her designee and, except in emergency situations, should be submitted at least forty-eight (48) hours in advance. A shift trade will not be approved if it would increase overtime costs for the Employer. d. Should the Employer determine that it is necessary to change/revise a schedule(s) for more than sixty (60) minutes, and if the changes affect more than three (3) current employee(s) in positions covered by the CBA, the Employer agrees to notify the affected Employees in writing no less than thirty (30) days prior to the implementation date. If the Union requests, the Employer will meet with the Union Xxxxxxx and Union Representative to make a reasonable attempt to review/revise the schedule so as to have the least impact on the fewest number of full-time and part-time staff possible. None of the foregoing shall affect the Employer’s ability to make any changes or exercise any rights provided for in Article 21-Management Rights.

(c) In the event that an employee's work schedule or shift is changed without five days advance notice and the change results from causes other than defined in (b) above, the employee shall receive a premium at the applicable overtime rate for work performed on the first shift to which they changed, except that if the change results from no fault of the Employer they shall not receive a premium at overtime rates but shall receive the premium defined under (b) above.

  • Alternative Work Schedules Employees may request alternative work schedules such as a nine (9) day - 80 hour two week schedule or a four (4) day - 40 hour week schedule. Management will respond to an employee's request within 15 calendar days. Any changes from existing work schedules will be based on the needs of the service as determined by Management. Employees covered by the Fair Labor Standards Act will not be placed on alternate work schedules that mandate the payment of overtime under the Act.

  • Voltage Schedules Once the Developer has synchronized the Large Generating Facility with the New York State Transmission System, NYISO shall require Developer to operate the Large Generating Facility to produce or absorb reactive power within the design capability of the Large Generating Facility set forth in Article 9.5.1 (Power Factor Design Criteria). NYISO’s voltage schedules shall treat all sources of reactive power in the New York Control Area in an equitable and not unduly discriminatory manner. NYISO shall exercise Reasonable Efforts to provide Developer with such schedules in accordance with NYISO procedures, and may make changes to such schedules as necessary to maintain the reliability of the New York State Transmission System. Developer shall operate the Large Generating Facility to maintain the specified output voltage or power factor at the Point of Interconnection within the design capability of the Large Generating Facility set forth in Article 9.5.1 (Power Factor Design Criteria) as directed by the Connecting Transmission Owner’s System Operator or the NYISO. If Developer is unable to maintain the specified voltage or power factor, it shall promptly notify NYISO.

  • Incorporation of Schedules and Exhibits The schedules, attachments and exhibits referenced in and attached to this Agreement shall be deemed an integral part hereof to the same extent as if written in whole herein. In the event that any inconsistency or conflict exists between the provisions of this Agreement and any schedules, attachments or exhibits attached hereto, the provisions of this Agreement shall supersede the provisions of any such schedules, attachments or exhibits.

  • Work Schedule (A) Where an employee has an established schedule, a change in workdays or shifts will be posted no less than 14 calendar days in advance and will reflect at least a two workweek schedule; however, the state will make a good faith effort to reflect a one month schedule. (B) In the event of a declared emergency the notice requirement of this Section may be void. (C) The state will continue to observe the scheduling structures currently in place at each agency and agrees to bargain any change in the overall practice of how schedules are established.
