Workshop Reimbursement. Administrators shall be permitted to attend workshops, conventions and conferences, on both the state and national level, when such attendance is authorized in writing by the Superintendent. Administrators shall be required to present receipts of their attendance at the workshop, convention or conference prior to being reimbursed. The maximum aggregate reimbursement for all unit members recognized pursuant to Article 1 of this Agreement shall be $5,000 per school year, in addition to local and state workshops already being attended by bargaining unit members. Denial of reimbursement for workshops, conventions, and conferences shall not be subject to the grievance procedure.

Workshop Reimbursement. The Board will pay 100% of the costs of approved workshops up to a maximum per covered employee per school year of two hundred fifty dollars effective July 1, 2008. Workshops shall be approved in advance by the Superintendent. Reimbursement shall be made within thirty (30) days of submission of a certificate of successful completion of the workshop. The Board agrees to pay the costs of all workshops required by it if the affected employee has already exhausted his/her allotment. If the approved workshop occurs on a scheduled work day for the employee or if the Board requires the employee to attend a workshop on a non-scheduled day, the employee will be paid his/her regular or overtime rate, as appropriate, in addition to the reimbursement for workshop costs.
Workshop Reimbursement. As of June 1 of each year, teachers who have submitted reimbursement requests that had been declined earlier that school year, may reapply for reimbursement on a first come, first served basis, to the extent that funds remain uncommitted in the District’s reimbursement account. The Board will pay 100% of the costs of approved workshops not to exceed three hundred and seventy-five dollars ($375.00) per teacher per school year. With prior approval of the Superintendent, occupational therapists, speech therapists, physical therapists, nurses, and psychologists may elect to attend conventions, conferences or additional workshops. To be eligible for reimbursement the workshop must be necessary under the teacher's individual staff development plan for re-certification. Workshops shall be approved in advance by the Superintendent. Reimbursement shall be made within 30 days of submission of a certificate of successful completion of the workshop. Additional amounts for employees may be approved by the Superintendent provided there are adequate funds available. With prior approval of the Superintendent, teachers may pool workshop reimbursement funds to bring in outside resources so as to assist them in fulfilling requirements for their staff development plans for recertification or licensure.
Workshop Reimbursement. Each full-time teacher shall be provided with an annual allotment of up to $500 for reimbursement towards approved workshops and related travel expenses per school year. Part-time teachers will receive a prorated amount based on their full-time equivalency. For example, a part-time teacher with a .5 FTE teacher will receive an allotment up to $250. All workshops and classes must be pre-approved by the Superintendent or designee. All workshops and/or classes must be directly relevant to the subject matter and/or grade level taught by the requesting teacher. Teachers may use workshop money toward one (1) professional subscription, upon approval by the Superintendent or designee. Teachers may also apply the annual workshop allotment of up to $500 to approved coursework.

Workshop Reimbursement. The School Board will provide up to $550 per year for each teacher for each year of the contract to promote the advanced education of teachers and/or reimburse teachers for recertification of teaching licenses. The School District will pay the registration and mileage for its teachers to attend workshops, seminars, and conferences subject to the following conditions: 1. The workshop, seminar, or conference must be approved in advance by the Superintendent. 2. To be eligible for advance payment of registration costs, the teacher shall submit a request for a purchase order at least ten days prior to the registration deadline. The usual means of payment for registration shall be made by purchase order. If the District has issued a purchase order, and a teacher does not attend the workshop, seminar, or conference, due to reasons other than illness or other reasons deemed appropriate by the Superintendent, (denial shall not be for arbitrary or capricious reasons) the teacher shall reimburse the District the amount of the purchase order. In cases where the request for payment is made less than ten days prior to the registration deadline, the District will reimburse a teacher for registration fees within thirty (30) days of submission of evidence or payment for the workshop, seminar, or conference. 3. Mileage will be reimbursed in accordance with the IRS rate. 4. The available funds for workshops, seminars, and conferences shall be distributed among teachers at the discretion of the Principal. 5. If by June 1 of the school year funds remain unexpended in the workshop reimbursement account, teachers who have paid for workshops themselves may reapply for reimbursements with those remaining funds. The School Board will make every reasonable effort to meet theses requests provided the funds are not needed to meet other financial obligations of the District.
Workshop Reimbursement. For all workshops, conferences and seminars that are approved in advance by the Superintendent or the Superintendent‟s designee, the District shall reimburse professional and non-professional employees for the cost of the course, excluding lodging, meals and travel, up to a maximum of $275 per employee.
