Full-time, part-time, and short-hour Clinical Lab Scientists will maintain core competency in all identified modalities within the department. Per-Diem Clinical Lab Scientists must be provided two days per month to cover regular staff in order to maintain competency in the procedures they have been trained to perform. Competencies are checked after six months (if a new hire) and annually thereafter.
