Holidays and Annual Vacation shall apply except that part-time, freelance and temporary employees shall be entitled to pay for a general holiday on which they do not work calculated on the basis of one-twentieth (1/20) of the wages earned during the thirty (30) calendar days immediately preceding the general holiday. Any time worked in excess of the standard work day shall be paid for at three and one-half (3%) times their basic hourly rate of pay; When a holiday displaces a regular day off, an employee has the right to choose to work one of the following regular days off, provided the Company requires worked to be performed. Overtime will be paid in accordance to Article or the employee may receive lieu time in accordance to Article and For any of the holidays received in this manner or in accordance with or above, employees at their option may receive a day off at a mutually agreed time and this option shall be indicated on the time sheet for the week in which the holiday occurred. Holidays and Annual Vacation. Holidays and Holiday Pay The Authority recognizes the following paid holidays: New Year’s Day Labour Day Good Friday Thanksgiving Day Victoria Day Christmas Day Canada Day Boxing Day Civic Holiday In addition an employee may choose three (3) floating holidays with regular pay. The employee shall notify the Authority in writing of the desired floating in sufficient time to allow the scheduling provisions of this Agreement to be met. The three (3) floating holidays may be taken at any time between January 1st and December of the current year providing that the scheduling of such floating holiday is approved in advance. Should an additional holiday be proclaimed by the Federal or Ontario Governments as being applicable to employees, one floating holiday shall be allocated to this additional holiday and the employee shall be limited to two (2) floating holidays. Floating holidays may not be carried over into the next calendar year. Employees shall be compensated for the above holidays in the following manner:

Eligibility to Personal Floater Days is determined as follows: -the employee is eligible to two (2) Personal Floater Days if actively at work for at least nine (9) months in the calendar year; -the employee is eligible to one (1) Personal Floater Day if actively at work for at least three (3) months but less than nine (9) months in the calendar year; -the employee is not eligible to Personal Floater Days if actively at work for less than three (3) months in the calendar year. Personal Floater Days not taken during the calendar year are forfeited and cannot be carried over from one calendar year to another. The Company agrees to provide one additional floater day in calendar year 2013 to be used within that calendar year.

Holidays and Annual Vacation. 12.1 Holidays and Holiday Pay - The following shall be paid holidays: New Year’s Day Labour Day Good Friday Thanksgiving Day Victoria Day (Empire Day) Christmas Day Dominion Day Boxing Day Civic Holiday plus any day duly proclaimed by Federal or Provincial Authority as a public holiday. Civic Holiday, which is the first Monday in August, replaces Remembrance Day as a holiday on the above list. In addition to the holidays listed above, two (2) additional “floating holidays” to be scheduled only by mutual agreement between the employee and the Company but must be received within the calendar year in which it is earned. In the case of new employees, the additional holiday shall be credited only after six (6) months of service and shall be taken within the calendar year. Full-time employees who leave the Company shall be entitled to payment for one floating holiday after January 1st and both floating holidays after June 1st if the floating holidays have not been received in accordance with this Article at the time of leaving.
