IN-SERVICE TRAINING PROGRAM. CSEA shall have the right to propose specific in-service recommendations to the District.
IN-SERVICE TRAINING PROGRAM. The District shall provide a program of in-service training for employees in the Transportation Unit designed to assist employees in maintaining their State Certification.

Further, the parties agree that the County Office shall begin in- service training during the first semester of each year.

To the extent a bargaining unit member voluntarily attends a County Office provided in-service training outside of his/her normal work hours, the County Office proposes to provide an hourly in-service training rate of $20.00 per hour for attendance at such trainings.

IN-SERVICE TRAINING PROGRAM. (ISTP). The Contractor shall assist in the design, development, maintenance and administrative support for a formal ISTP that is designed to provide continuation training on various SERE and PR related topics to Contractor and Government personnel. The purpose of the ISTP is to provide structured training in a controlled environment in subject areas wherein knowledge and skills that decay over time require continuous rehearsal, reinforcement and recertification. 5.4.1. The ISTP is in addition to the normal day-to-day courseware administration and maintenance activities. It shall be scheduled and conducted throughout the year when Contractor instructors and Government personnel are not actively engaged in the conduct of student training operations. The ISTP shall support the Special Forces SERE School’s current and future mission training requirements and be in accordance with DOD, Joint Personnel Recovery Agency (JPRA), and Special Forces SERE School instructor training policies and guidance. SERE instructor skill sets require recurring periods of formal in-service training to technically refresh knowledge and skills with regard to currency, proficiency, credibility and relevancy to the SERE training program. In-service training is education and training curricula designed to aid employees in the development and maintenance of skills and knowledge in specific skill sets and/or occupational disciplines associated with SERE instruction. In-service training begins as soon as a newly-assigned instructor begins their work responsibilities. In-service training is conducted during breaks in the individual's assigned work schedule and/or at other times if deemed appropriate by the Government. 5.4.2. The ISTP shall consist of formal lesson plans IAW TRADOC Reg 350-70, student hand-outs, visual media, practical exercises, and test and measurement devices. All training materials shall be reviewed and approved by the government. The Contractor shall develop monthly ISTP training schedules and provide them to the COR for review and approval NLT three weeks prior to execution. Products deemed unsatisfactory for presentation shall be reworked in no more than five days. Upon approval of the training schedule and products, the Contractor shall post the training schedules, build class rosters and conduct the scheduled training. IN-SERVICE TRAINING PROGRAM. A) Members must attend orientation, awareness, in-service, or training meetings in accordance with local, state or federal requirements as to employee or student health, safety, or welfare. These meetings may be held outside of the normal workday with pay. B) The District agrees to pay the tuition and testing fees for up to two (2) courses per semester for any full-time employee who successfully completes the course. The District shall endeavor to keep the Association President informed of courses available as it learns of them. To qualify for the payment of tuition and testing fees, the course(s) selected by the full-time employee must be approved by the employee's immediate supervisor and proof of successful completion will be the official transcript.
