Lead Employees. In its discretion the school district may appoint one or more lead employees. In such event, the appointment shall be made for a one (1) year term only, and the school district may or may not renew such appointment in its discretion. In the event of such an appointment, the employee shall receive a stipend of $3,000 per annum. A job description shall be promulgated by the school district and the school district shall meet and confer with Local 3904 prior to implementation of the job description.
Lead Employees. A lead employee is one who, in addition to his occupational duties, is assigned to help in the direction of employees, his additional duties being limited to direction, distribution, coordination, and teaching of work in those cases where the size of the force and the character of the work or both require such assistance.
Lead Employees. On occasion, Management may determine that it is necessary to delegate Lead responsibilities to the employees under his direction. Employees so selected shall be expected to:
1. Make detailed work allocations as instructed by the supervisor.
2. Be responsible for furnishing sufficient and accurate information to employees working under his direction.
3. Interpret information, answer questions, review, check work, and eliminate ordinary difficulties.
4. Perform other duties and responsibilities necessary to accomplish work assignments. Employees selected to perform Lead responsibilities will not appraise the work of other employees or make, as a result of solicitation by the supervisor, recommendations concerning employment, release, transfer, upgrading or disciplinary action relative to other employees, or to be directly responsible for the quality or quantity of work produced by other employees.
Lead Employees. 26.01 Leads are bargaining unit Employees who are regularly assigned additional duties under the supervision and direction of a manager, which may include, but are not limited to the following:
(a) Direct and check the work of others.
(b) Participate in the orientation and/or training of Employees and provide feedback to management.
(c) Co-ordinate the workflow among Employees within the work area.
(d) Provide technical or functional direction and support to Employees
(e) Inform management on the operational needs of the department.
26.02 Besides these duties, Leads must participate in the regular work of their classification within the department. Leads are not supervisors.
27.01 General Provisions
(a) Any claim of an employee arising out of the interpretation, application, or adherence to the terms or provisions of this Agreement or arising out of disciplinary and discharge actions taken by the Employer shall be subject to the Grievance and Arbitration Procedure.
(b) On a case by case basis, the time limits outlined in this Article may be extended bywritten mutual agreement of the parties as entered into between a Union Xxxxxxx or Union Representative and Allina Health Human Resources or Allina H ealth Labor Relations.
(c) Any decision to be made by the Employer that is not actually issued within the time limits set forth in this Article for Steps One or Two, will be deemed to have been issued as a denial of the grievance effective on the deadline date and will be subject to appeal accordingly.
(d) Only the Union or the Employer shall have the right to take a grievance to arbitration.
Lead Employees. The Hospital may designate at its discretion a lead technologist to act in that capacity. The decision as to whether a lead technologist will be utilized shall be made in the sole discretion of the Employer. Areas may utilize a consistent lead technologist or may rotate through a designated list of qualified lead technologists selected by the Hospital. The Hospital will develop a list of the lead responsibilities for each unit, area, or department. Besides these duties, lead technologists must participate in the regular work of their classification within the department. A technologist will receive lead pay as provided in Section 20(B) if:
a. The technologist is assigned or designated as lead by the supervisor or manager; or
b. The technologist performs lead responsibilities at the direction of the supervisor or manager for a majority of the technologists shift.
Lead Employees. Shall there be need to establish a temporary Lead position, Lead workers shall receive seventy- five cents ($0.75) per hour differential above their regular rate of pay for hours worked as a Lead.
Lead Employees. 31.1 It is agreed that the Company will use Lead employees only in those shops and locations and for such time periods as the Company deems appropriate and necessary. When such position is used, it will be covered under the Company-Union Agreement. Lead positions must be filled by qualified employees and for that reason may not necessarily be filled in seniority order. Leads will be appointed by the Company.
31.2 The Lead category is in direct association with a specific job assignment. Once an employee is placed in the Lead category, he retains it so long as the Company’s requirement for a Lead continues. Should the requirement cease to exist or the employee vacates the assignment for any reason, he is no longer a Lead. The Lead carries no displacement or reassignment rights as in the case of the basic classification.
31.3 Lead assignments will be given to the employee selected in the affected classification and work location, as selected by the Company.
31.4 On occasion, Management may determine that it is necessary to delegate Lead responsibilities to the employees under its direction. Employees so selected shall be expected to:
31.4.1 Make detailed work allocations as instructed by the supervisor.
31.4.2 Be responsible for furnishing sufficient and accurate information to employees working under his direction.
31.4.3 Interpret information, answer questions, review, check work, and eliminate ordinary difficulties.
31.4.4 Perform other duties and responsibilities necessary to accomplish work assignments.
31.5 Employees selected to perform Lead responsibilities will not appraise the work of other employees or make, as a result of solicitation by the supervisor, recommendations concerning employment, release, transfer, upgrading or disciplinary action relative to other employees, or to be directly responsible for the quality or quantity of work produced by other employees.
Lead Employees. A. A Lead Employee is defined as an employee assigned by the supervisor according to seniority and qualifications whose duties include, but are not limited to, the following duties and responsibilities:
1) Directing, checking, reviewing, assigning, organizing and coordinating the work of two (2) or more employees within the area of assigned responsibility.
2) Responsibility for training and reporting on the work performance of other employees as required.
3) Capable of performing all duties within area of responsibility.
B. Lead Employees shall not have the authority to hire, fire, or discipline other employees or effectively recommend the same. Lead Employees shall not perform the supervisory functions of Supervisory Employees defined in Article 2, Section 2 of the Contract.
Lead Employees. Lead employees in the bargaining unit will be scheduled according to their classification seniority unless they are needed at specific times to perform supervisory duties. The Employer may select bargaining unit lead employees without regard to seniority. Lead employees may be demoted to non- lead status with no recourse to the grievance and arbitration procedure. Demoted employees may exercise their seniority as an exception to 9.7, Bumping, and assume the schedule to which their seniority entitles them.
