MISCELLANEOUS EMPLOYEE BENEFITS. 31 24.1 When an employee is required to use his/her personal automobile in the 1 performance of City business, said employee will be reimbursed for 2 operating expenses at the rate provided for in the City's travel policy, 3 exclusive of mileage traveled to and from his/her work location. 4 24.2 The City, during the term of this Agreement, will continue the tool policy 5 currently in existence in General Government (including the individual 6 agreement form) and in Utilities. 8 24.3 The City, during the term of this Agreement, will provide annually, at no 9 charge to the employees, a total of four (4) uniforms or equivalent, made up 10 of components as determined by management, to those employees in 11 departments/divisions and job classifications where management has 12 decided to furnish uniforms. Issued work shirts and pants may only be worn 13 while on official City business or while coming to or going from the work site.
MISCELLANEOUS EMPLOYEE BENEFITS. 26 18.1 The City, during the term of this Agreement (October 1, 2011 – September 30, 2014), 27 will provide a dry cleaning allowance each year of the Agreement in the amount of 28 560.00. One-half (½) shall be paid on a pro rata basis on or about October 1 and April 29 1. The City, during the term of the Agreement (October 1, 2011 – September 30, 30 2014), shall provide an annual clothing allowance each year of the Agreement in the 31 amount of $585.00. One-half (½) shall be paid on a pro rata basis on or about October 32 1 and April 1. Each fiscal year all employees covered by this agreement shall receive 33 one hundred dollars ($100.00) annual leather allowance. In the event ratification occurs after one or more payments would have been made, the City agrees to provide full payment for any part of this allowance not paid to members, as described herein. Such payment shall be made within sixty (60) days of ratification of this Agreement. Annual health assessments will be given employees covered by this Agreement. Periodic physical examinations will be given employees covered by this Agreement as follows: (Type A at employment and at age 40, 50 and 60. Type B at age 30, 35, 45 and 55.) The City's Employee Health Services and/or the City doctor may prescribe more extensive tests (e.g., stress, EKG) should the physical history or preliminary lab work indicate a need for a more extensive physical examination. In the event of death, all compensation due to the employee as of the effective date of death shall be paid to the beneficiary, surviving spouse, or to the estate of the employee as determined by law or by executed forms in his/her personnel folder. MISCELLANEOUS EMPLOYEE BENEFITS. 15.1: Employees shall have the right to trade days off with or work for another employee of the same classification without the commanding officer's approval for either employee for normally scheduled work. Any special or abnormal assignments are excluded from this right. The Employee who is scheduled to work must inform the commanding officer at least one hour before the start of the shift involved of any trade of work days or days off. The employee who has agreed to work the traded days will be responsible for his/her attendance on that work day. The Employee who works shall receive any appropriate shift differential. 15.2: All time off, except the one (1) employee per work unit permitted to be on scheduled vacation in accordance with Section 8.4 of this Agreement, the unforeseeable use of sick leave and funeral leave, or a serious personal emergency, is to be at times that are mutually agreeable between the employee and the Chief of Police or his/her designee. Requests for time off will be granted when necessary staffing will still be available for that shift. The City, at its discretion, may require that overtime hours be compensated only in monetary form. 15.3: Whenever an off-duty employee takes any kind of significant action within the City limits involving misdemeanors and felonies which affects an arrest or constitutes a documented effort to prevent a crime, said employee shall be paid in accordance with the overtime policy in Article VI, section 6. 1. Outside the City, jurisdiction is limited to felony crimes only. 15.4: Members of the EDPOA elected to attend a function of the Association such as conventions, conferences and other such meetings pertaining to the business of this Association, shall be allowed time off without loss of time or pay to attend such functions, limited to a total of six (6) days annual noncumulative. Such payment shall be made within 15 sixty (60) days of ratification of this Agreement. In addition, employees covered 16 by this agreement shall receive a lump sum payment for any allowances not 17 received that would normally be due for fiscal year 2017 and 2018. No employee 18 shall receive a lump sum payment for allowances for any part of fiscal year 2017 19 and/or 2018 if they were not in a position covered by this agreement for the 20 relevant periods of time. 22 There shall be no allowances under this article after September 30, 20222024, 23 unless and until there is a new Agreement in effect providing for such allowance. 25 19.2 Annual health assessments will be given employees covered by this Agreement.

MISCELLANEOUS EMPLOYEE BENEFITS. 18 29.1 Employees required to use personal vehicles when ordered to report to 19 another duty station without prior notification after reporting to or leaving from 20 his/her regular duty station shall be paid $5.00 per one-way trip. These 21 monies shall be paid bi-weekly upon employee presenting appropriate 22 document verifying such trips.
