NON-PAID LEAVES OF ABSENCE. A. The following provisions apply to non-paid leaves of absence:
1. All leaves described under this article shall be without pay.
2. Non-paid leaves of absence of five (5) days or fewer may be approved by the Chancellor or designee. All requests for such leaves greater than five
NON-PAID LEAVES OF ABSENCE. Section 1. An employee who, because of illness or accident which is non-compensable under the Workers’ Compensation Law, is physically unable to report for work and has exhausted all means of compensation from the Employer, shall be granted a leave of absence for a period of up to one (1) year, which may be extended by the Employer, provided the employee promptly notifies the Employer of the necessity therefore and provided further that the employee supplies the Employer with a certificate from a medical or osteopathic doctor of the necessity for such absence, or the continuation of such absence, when the same is requested by the Employer.
NON-PAID LEAVES OF ABSENCE. Leaves of absence without pay or benefits may be granted for a period of up to one year to tenured Employees upon written request and approval of the Board. Leave absence 'may be granted for:
NON-PAID LEAVES OF ABSENCE. 1. General Leave of Absence The BOARD may grant a leave of absence without pay to a tenured TEACHER for a purpose that it, in its discretion, deems appropriate and beneficial to the School District for a period of up to one (1) school year upon such terms and conditions as the BOARD may elect. The granting, withholding, or conditioning of such leave of absence will be non- precedential with respect to any other request for such leave by such TEACHER or any other TEACHER.
2. TRS/Fringe Benefits While on any unpaid leave of absence, a TEACHER shall have the option to remain an active participant in the State Teacher Retirement System and/or other FRINGE BENEFITs program by contributing the full amount required.
3. Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA)
NON-PAID LEAVES OF ABSENCE. 11.1 A permanent employee shall be entitled to a leave of absence without pay to accept a permanent appointment with another governmental agency in New Jersey for a period not to exceed four (4) months.
11.2 All leaves of absence without pay shall be at the sole discretion of the Employer.
11.3 Employees returning from authorized leaves of absence as set forth in the paragraph(s) above will be restored to their original classifications and salaries which they were earning at the time leave was granted. Said employees will suffer no loss of seniority or other employee rights, privileges, or benefits, provided, however, that sick leave, vacation leave, and longevity credits shall not accrue except for those on military leave.
NON-PAID LEAVES OF ABSENCE. While on any unpaid leave of absence, a TEACHER shall have the option to remain an active participant in the State Teacher Retirement System and/or other FRINGE BENEFITs program by contributing the full amount required. Upon returning from an approved leave of absence, the TEACHER will be returned to the same or equivalent position in the District with no loss in benefits that accrued before the leave began. He/she shall advise the Human Resources Department in writing by the end of the first workweek in January, if at all possible, with the latest date of notification being February 1st. In the case of a reduction in force, procedures outlined in the Illinois School Code (105 ILCS 5/24-12) will be followed. Any TEACHER who has been employed one-hundred twenty (120) days within a school year shall be entitled to such advancement on the salary schedule as he/she would have had if the leave had not been granted. If the leave exceeds the year in which such leave commenced, the second year shall not be considered for step advancement on the salary schedule.

11.2 The Employer will grant leaves of absence to two (2) employees, not more than one from any divisions, to accept full-time Union employment. Sixty (60) days’ notice in writing shall be given to the Employer by any employee requesting such leave.
11.3 All other leaves of absence without pay shall be at the discretion of the Employer.
11.4 Employees returning from authorized leaves of absence as set forth in the paragraph(s) above will be restored to their original classifications and salaries which they were earning at the time leave was granted. Said employees will suffer no loss of seniority or other employee rights, privileges, or benefits, provided, however, that sick leave, vacation leave, and longevity credits shall not accrue except for those on military leave.
NON-PAID LEAVES OF ABSENCE. A. All leaves of absence without pay shall be at the discretion of the Township Committee.
B. Employees returning from authorized leaves of absence as set forth above will be restored to their original classification at the then appropriate rate of ay, with seniority continued retroactively, exclusive of the period of absence, and no loss of other employee right, privileges, or benefits, provided, however, sick leave, vacation leave, holiday pay and longevity shall not accrue.
NON-PAID LEAVES OF ABSENCE. 17.1 All employees covered by this agreement shall be entitled to a leave of absence without pay for personal illness.
a. Said sick leave of absence without pay may only be utilized by employees when they are unable to perform their work by reason of personal illness, accident or exposure to contagious disease.
b. To be eligible for sick leave of absence without pay, an employee shall be required to provide the Warden, Xxxxxx County jails, with documentation from their personal physician detailing the nature of the illness, and the length of expected absence from duty. Said leave of absence must be approved by the County Physician. All employees shall be required to be examined by the County Physician arid certified by him/her as fit to return to duty prior to their return to work.
c. Said leaves of absence must be renewed every three (3) months with the approval of the County Physician.
17.2 An employee shall be entitled to a leave of absence without pay to accept a permanent position with any other governmental agency for a period not to exceed the probationary period for such position or a period of eight (8) months, whichever is less.
17.3 All other leaves of absence without pay shall be at the discretion of the County.
17.4 Employees returning from authorized leaves of absence as set forth above will be restored to their original classification at the then appropriate rate of pay, with no loss of seniority, or other employee rights, privileges, or benefits, provided however, that sick leave, vacation leave and longevity credits shall not accrue.
