Overtime Wages. General
(a) Non-Application - Overtime wages will not be paid:
(i) for work performed during regular scheduled hours
(ii) for work performed on an employee's day of rest when employees trade days off by a friendly agreement approved by supervision.
(iii) for work performed to make up for time lost within a pay period due to a transfer or change of schedule as provided in subsection
(b) (i) Call-Out - The minimum payment for call-out work will be equivalent to four hours' pay at the employee's regular hourly rate, except where on previous notice an employee starts to work two hours or less before such employee's regular working day, in which case payment will be based on the hours actually worked. A minimum of four hours at employee's regular hourly rate will also be paid to employees notified in advance to return to the plant for overtime work. In the event that an employee is called out or notified in advance to return to the plant for overtime work, but the call-out or notification is cancelled before the employee reports to work, the employee shall have the option of:
(a) reporting to work and having sufficient work assigned to them to enable them to earn the minimum pay provided in this section, or
(b) rejecting option (a) above in which case the employee shall not be eligible for call-out pay.
(c) Where an employee, scheduled to work days, performs work between the hours of 11:30 p.m. and 4:30 a.m. as the result of a “call-out”, the employee shall be entitled to up to 8 consecutive hours off the job before reporting to work again, without loss of pay.
Overtime Wages. All wages paid for overtime services rendered by all members of the bargaining unit shall be in conformity as set in Appendix A of the wage schedule.
Overtime Wages. The Requesting Department is responsible for payment of any overtime wages or non-routine expenses of the Responding Department that are deemed necessary to perform the requested investigation. The Responding Department’s command staff shall be vested with the authority and discretion to authorize overtime for responding staff and non-routine expenses as deemed appropriate. However, the Responding Department’s command staff shall be required to regularly communicate expenses related to the investigation to the Requesting Department.
Overtime Wages. Shift Workers
Overtime Wages. 12.01 Employees will receive overtime for all hours in excess of their regularly scheduled shift and all hours worked on a scheduled day off, (provided they have worked their full regularly scheduled weekly shifts) shall receive time and one half (1 ½) for all hours worked.
12.02 If a worker does not report for his regular shift, his mate on duty shall notify his Xxxxxxx or Department Superintendent and shall then remain on the job until a substitute satisfactory to Management has been secured and has taken the job, or if necessary, he shall work an extra shift. (refer to employment standards act)
12.03 Opportunities for overtime work will be distributed as equitably as possible among the permanent employees - in the department, taking into consideration the qualifications of the employees for the work to be done, the availability of employees for overtime and the continuity of the work and the efficient operation of the department. Where the Company fails to do so, it will offer the appropriate overtime as a remedy, which will be accepted no later than sixty (60) days after the initial error. The company and the union will meet to discuss this article with the intent to resolve administrative issues.
12.04 When a non-continuous operation worker accepts to work three (3) hours overtime or more, the employee shall receive a ten (10) minute relief period to be taken at the end of his regular shift.
12.05 When a Maintenance/Relief worker or helper splits his week between continuous and non-continuous (eight, ten and/or twelve hour shifts), all hours worked over forty-four (44) hours, shall be paid at overtime rate. For the purposes of computing overtime, employees must work their full regularly scheduled weekly shifts to be entitled to overtime pay.
Overtime Wages. When a Maintenance/Relief Engineer in the powerhouse splits his week between his normal day duties and shift work, all hours worked over forty (40) hours, shall be paid at overtime rate.
Overtime Wages. The Employer must pay an employee who agrees to work over seven point nine (7.9) hours in a day:
a) One and half (1½) times the employee's regular wage over seven point nine (7.9) hours, and
b) Double the employee’s regular wages for any time over nine point nine (9.9) hours.
Overtime Wages. 11.01 Double time will be paid to all hourly paid employees for work performed on Sunday and Statutory holidays.
11.02 Time and one half (1 ½) will be paid to all hourly paid employees for all hours worked in excess of their regularly scheduled shift.

11.05 When a non-shift worker accepts to work three (3) hours overtime or more, the employee shall receive a ten (10) minute relief period to be taken at the end of his regular shift.
Overtime Wages. 1 .3 .1 Overtime work shall be paid at hourly rates . The hourly rate for overtime for each pay-scale step shall be 1 .0385% of the monthly wage for the pay-scale step according to which the employee is paid .
1 .3 .2 All work done on major public holidays (New Year’s Day, Easter Sunday, Whit Sunday, Christmas Day and after 12 noon on Christmas Eve (24 December) and New Year’s Eve, Good Friday and 17 June) shall be paid for at hourly rates equivalent to 1 .375% of the monthly wage for the pay-scale step according to which the employee is paid .
1 .3 .3 Agreements may be made with employees on fixed monthly payments for overtime work .
1 .3 .4 Payment for all overtime work shall be made retrospectively for each month or 30-day period, and shall be disbursed not later than 2 weeks after the last accounting day .
1 .3 .5 Part-time employees who attend courses during the day shall receive wages at daytime rates even though the courses are held outside their regular working hours .
