Salary Schedule and Compensation. Section 13.1 (a) Effective September 1, 2022, the annual full-time salary of all bargaining unit employees shall be not less than $44,000 per year (prorated for part-time) and all bargaining unit employees shall receive no less than a four percent (4%) base wage increase. To be eligible for retroactive pay, a member must be employed at the time the payment is made. Section 13.1 (b) Effective September 1, 2023, base wages will be increased by three percent (3%).

Credentialed employees hired on or after July 1, 2016, shall be granted credit for experience on a year-for-year basis with up to a maximum of eight (8) years. Credit for experience outside the District for Independent Study/Adult Education teachers will be granted on a year-for-year basis up to a maximum of six (6) years. Movement requires attainment of the column units indicated on the salary schedule. Employees on Salary Schedule 2 will receive an adjustment as noted for each four semester units of verified course work successfully completed up to a maximum of 72 units. Semester units are the standard for credit. A “quarter” unit is equal to 2/3 of a semester unit. A grade of “C” or better or “Pass” (in a P/F system) is required. Units for advancement on the salary schedule are only those received after the awarding of the Bachelor’s degree with the exception of those employees not required to hold a Bachelor’s degree. Those employees not required to hold a Bachelor’s degree, or those employees with a Bachelor’s degree who do not hold a valid California teaching credential, are limited to step advancement.

Salary Schedule and Compensation. Section 13.1 WAGE SCHEDULE All newly hired bargaining unit employees will be classified and paid according to their position and years of experience in accordance with the schedule set forth in Appendix “A” which is attached hereto and made part of this Agreement. This Agreement will not preclude the Employer, at its option, from paying more than the contract rate of pay.

Wages will not be adjusted for employees whose hourly base wage rate is above scale as of January 1, 2023. v. Employees on the scale will advance one (1) step on their anniversary date, corresponding with their date of hire. vi. Employees who do not receive a step increase (because their hourly rate is higher than the scale or they do not have a subsequent step to move to), will receive on their anniversary date, a one-time lump sum payment equal to two percent (2%) of their total compensated hours over the prior 12 months. vii. All new employees will be hired at Step 0. viii. Employees who move to a different position will be placed on the step that corresponds with their overall tenure with the Employer.
