Schedule Advancement. Unit members who successfully complete a six-month probationary period following initial employment or promotion to a higher classification shall advance to the next higher step on the salary schedule. Thereafter, pending a satisfactory evaluation, unit members shall advance on the salary schedule, including longevity increments, on the first of the month following each full year of successful experience except.
Schedule Advancement. After initial placement, non-degreed vocational instructors may advance on the salary schedule as follows:
a. Advancement based on experience shall be governed by the same experience guidelines as for all other employees per Section 7.3 B herein.
b. Advancement based on education shall be governed by the conversion of additional occupation experience and/or additional vocational training to post-BA credits per S-275 reporting/placement guidelines and corresponding WAC regulations. This conversion results in additional education credits that will be recognized on the local Bachelor’s Degree salary schedule as post-BA credits. All BA columns will be open depending on the number of converted credits earned. Non-degreed vocational instructors shall not be eligible to advance on to the Master’s degree schedule.
Schedule Advancement. Any employee hired or placed in a new classification between July 1 and December 31 will advance 1 step the following July 1. Any employee hired between January 1 and June 30 will remain on the same step until July 1 following the anniversary date of employment.
Schedule Advancement. 10.3.1 Unit members who successfully complete a one (1) –year probationary period following initial employment or promotion to a higher classification shall advance to the next higher step on the salary schedule. Thereafter, pending a satisfactory evaluation, unit members shall advance on the salary schedule on the first of the month following each full year of successful experience.
10.3.2 Employee shall be eligible for a longevity increment of two thousand two hundred fifty-six ($2,256) dollars the fiscal year following fulfillment of the requirements below:
10.3.2.1 Longevity – Fifteen (15) years in educational service; ten (10) years in a District management position(s).
10.3.2.2 Satisfactory evaluation – satisfactory in each of the previous three (3) years; evaluation must include evidence of professional development and growth.
Schedule Advancement. A unit member shall be moved to the next step, if there is a higher step available, in the salary schedule group upon being granted permanency.
Schedule Advancement. With the exception of the 2007-08 year, Faculty will advance one step per year of paid service with the District. With appropriate further education, faculty shall advance to a higher class.
Schedule Advancement. Full-time professional staff members receive a full year's credit on the salary schedule as follows:
i. To receive a full year's credit on the salary schedule, a teacher must be eligible to receive a full year's credit under the Teachers’ Retirement System.
ii. To receive a full year's credit on the salary schedule, the teacher must have been hired prior to November 1. Effective the 1984-85 school year, professional staff members must have served the District for one full semester during the 1982-83 school year, the 1983-84 school year, and subsequent school years in order to receive a full year's credit for each year. Service as used herein refers to paid time with the District, including paid leaves. Other provisions regarding salary advancement as contained in collective bargaining agreements remain in full force and effect.
Schedule Advancement. 3.1 Unit members shall advance on the salary schedule based on their record of experience and course credits on file in the Human Resources Office.
3.2 One (1) step advancement on the salary schedule shall be given on July 1 for each full year of regular, day school employment in the District.
3.3 Part-time unit members employed for a minimum of seventy-five percent (75%) of the days that school is in regular session shall advance on the salary schedule as follows:
3.3.1 Unit members employed for three (3) class hours per day shall be credited with a full year's experience.
3.3.2 Unit members employed for less than three (3) class hours per day shall advance on the salary schedule on a proportionate basis, with the time worked each year cumulative toward advancing a step on the salary schedule.
3.3.3 Unit members described in Section 3.3.2 above shall advance one (1) step on the salary schedule when the time employed in the District becomes the equivalent of three fifths (3/5) of a regular, full-time assignment. Such unit members advance an additional step on the salary schedule when the additional accumulated time is the equivalent of a year of three fifths (3/5) employment.
3.3.4 Part-time unit members meeting the requirements of Section 3.3.3 above shall advance on the salary schedule on September 1 following accumulation of required service.
3.3.5 However, unit members employed for the equivalent of two class hours per day and who are also employed by another school district in San Mateo County in a like position for at least the equivalent of another two class hours per day shall be credited with a full year's experience.
3.4 Unit members shall move across the classification columns of the salary schedule on the basis of educational units taken beyond the Bachelor's degree as follows: Placement in Column II, BA/BS plus thirty (30) semester units; Column III, BA/BS plus forty-five (45) semester units; Column IV, BA/BS plus sixty (60) semester units; and Column V, BA/BS plus seventy-five (75) semester units.
3.5 Educational units which may be used for the purpose of column classification credit shall be those which meet the following:
3.5.1 Have a direct relationship to the services that the unit member is providing to the District;
3.5.2 Are approved by the Superintendent or designee;
3.5.3 Are successfully completed prior to September 1 of the fiscal year in which reclassification occurs with a grade of "C" or above at an accredited institution of hig...

Schedule Advancement. 13.2.1 Employees who successfully complete six-months (6) of probation following their initial employment, or internal promotion to a higher classification, shall advance to the next higher step on the salary schedule, effective the completion of probation on the first day of permanent employee status. Employees shall automatically advance on the salary schedule, including longevity increments, on the first of the month following each full year of service, unless they receive an unsatisfactory evaluation.
