Sick/Carer’s Leave. 20.1 Employees (excluding casual employees) when absent from work on account of personal illness or an account of injury by accident, other than that covered by Workers’ Compensation, or where the employees is the primary care giver to a sick family member, will be entitled to leave of absence, without deduction of pay subject to the following conditions and limitations:
Sick/Carer’s Leave. 15.1 Subject to clause 15.3, a permanent Employee, being paid an unloaded hourly rate, who is unable to attend or remain at his/her place of employment due to personal illness or personal incapacity, shall be entitled to pay at the ordinary hourly rate as follows:
Sick/Carer’s Leave. Employees are entitled to 10 days per annum in sick/carers leave, consistent with the Australian Pay and Fair Conditions (AFPC) standard. This will accrue on pro-rata basis each pay period. Assuming no use of Sick/Carers leave, the Employee would have 10 days accrued after 12 completed months of service from commencement/anniversary date. Unused days will accrue, to be available in situations of longer term needs (for example to ‘fund’ the first 90 days before the income protection insurance benefit becomes payable). Additional, unpaid carer’s leave of up to 2 days will be made available where the Employee has utilised their full entitlement of carers leave under the AFPC standard. An Employee unable to attend work on a particular day for sick/xxxxx’s reasons must advise their supervisor as soon as possible – preferably prior to, and no later than 2 hours after, their scheduled commencement of work. Multiple day absences must be supported by a doctor’s certificate (or suitable alternative). For single day absences, Employees may be requested by the Company to provide appropriate documentary support.
Sick/Carer’s Leave. Full-time Employees are entitled to 10 days (76 hours paid) per annum of Sick/Carers leave. Leave will accrue on a pro-rata basis each pay period. Unused leave will accrue to be available in situations of longer term needs (for example to ‘fund’ the first 90 days before the income protection insurance benefit becomes payable). Additional unpaid Carer’s leave of up to 2 days per occasion will be made available where the Employee has utilised their full entitlement to paid Sick/Carer’s leave. To be eligible for paid Xxxx/Xxxxx’s leave, an Employee unable to attend work on a particular day for sick/carer’s reasons must advise their supervisor as soon as reasonably practical – preferably prior to and no later than 2 hours after their scheduled commencement of work. The Employee should also advise the supervisor of the nature of the leave and the expected duration. Employees will be allowed 2 single sick/carers leave absences in each year of employment where the need to produce a medical certificate is waived. After the first two single day absences, an Employee must produce a medical certificate or a suitable alternative. The Company reserves the right to require an Employee to produce a medical certificate for any sick/carers above the first two single days absence. For absences greater than 1 day or pre or post a public holiday, or pre or post annual leave, a medical certificate must be produced for the Employee to be paid.

Sick/Carer’s Leave. (1) Permanent employees will be entitled to paid leave of absence due to personal illness. The maximum accrued for each year of employment is 80 hours. Any unused leave will be accumulated into the following year. Xxxx leave accumulates pro rata for each four weeks of employment.
Sick/Carer’s Leave. An Employee is entitled to Five (5) days leave in the first year of their employment and Ten (10) days leave per year thereafter, for reasons relating to personal illness or injury, or to care for an immediate family member who is ill or injured. Members of the immediate family include a spouse, child or relative who normally resides in the employee’s residence. Employees have no entitlement to sick/carer’s leave during the 13 weeks probationary period i.e. the first 3 months after they become a permanent employee. Employees are required to personally notify their immediate supervisor or manager by telephone as soon as they know they will be absent due to illness or injury of themselves, or an immediate family member and, as far as possible, state the nature of the injury or illness and the estimated duration they will be absent from work. The Employee shall prove to the satisfaction of the Company that it was not possible to attend work due to illness or injury on the day(s) for which sick leave is claimed. A certificate from a qualified medical practitioner is required for all absences with the exception of one day per three months for which no certificate is required. Neither annual leave nor unpaid leave will be granted retrospectively for sick/carer’s leave. If no proof of illness is produced on returning to work, the time paid for sick/carer’s leave will be deducted from the Employee’s next pay. Unused sick leave for each year of service accumulates and is available to the Employee for a maximum accumulation of 96 days. Sick leave is not payable on termination.
Sick/Carer’s Leave. 14.1 Fulltime and part time employees shall accrue paid sick/carer’s leave as per the Australian Fair Pay and Conditions Standard for each completed four weeks of service.
