Sick Leave Bank Administration a. A committee composed of three (3) sick leave bank participants shall be appointed to administer the sick leave bank. Members of the committee shall be appointed by the WCTA President or his/her designee.

Sick Leave Bank Administration. The Sick Leave Bank shall be administered by a committee of five (5), two of which shall be appointed by the president of the Association, two by the Superintendent, and one by mutual agreement of the Association and the Superintendent. 2.10.1 Each committee person shall be appointed for a two (2) year period and may be reappointed to succeed himself/herself; however, in the first year, one Association appointment and one Superintendent's appointment shall be for only one year. 2.10.2 The Superintendent shall promptly schedule a meeting of the committee when a request for use of the bank is received. Special meetings may be called at the request of any committee member. 2.10.3 At the first meeting each year, the entire membership of the committee shall select one member to act as chairperson for the duration of the year. Any official action of the committee shall require a majority vote for approval. The presence of four (4) members shall constitute a quorum. 2.10.4 Vacancies on the committee shall be filled as soon as possible by the appropriate appointing official. 2.10.5 The Superintendent shall prepare an annual report summarizing activities of the Sick Leave Bank. 2.10.6 Requests for use of the Bank and requests to donate days shall be made on official forms developed mutually by the Association, the Board, and members of the committee.

The donor must have at least one (1) week's leave remaining after the donation is deducted. Requests for catastrophic leave shall be sent to the Association President. 408 UNPAID LEAVE‌ Unpaid leave shall not be granted until compensatory time and annual leave have been exhausted, with the exception of Winter and Spring breaks as identified on the school calendar.

Sick Leave Bank Administration. The Xxxx of Administration and one Union member selected by the Chapter Chair for a term of one year which may be renewed will review applications under this Article and shall decide whether and to what extent to allow use of the sick leave bank. If they do not agree, the Xxxx shall make the final decision. The Xxxx’x decision is not grievable. If the request is denied in part or in full, the Xxxx shall submit in writing to the Union and the applicant the reason for denial. The Union will also be notified in writing when requests are approved. The Xxxx and the Union member shall sign a confidentiality agreement prior to hearing requests. The Union member may not participate in the decision making process regarding an employee’s application if the employee so requests.

Requests for catastrophic leave shall be sent to the Association President. 408 BEREAVEMENT LEAVEIn the event of a death in the employee’s immediate family (spouse, parent, child, past legal guardian, brother, sister, mother-in-law, father-in-law, daughter-in-law, son-in-law, grandchild, grandparent, any other person living in the same household as the employee, and any other relative deemed appropriate by the District), the employee shall be entitled to use up to five (5) days of their accrued leave. If the circumstances require out-of-state travel, the employee shall be entitled to use up to seven (7) days of their accrued leave. The leave must be taken within thirty (30) calendar days of the date of death. Exceptions to this timeframe must be approved by Labor Relations. The Association may seek bereavement leave donations for members who do not have sufficient accrued leave to cover a period of Bereavement Leave.
Sick Leave Bank Administration. The Sick Leave Bank shall be administrated by the Sick Leave Council in conformance with the Sick Leave Council regulations set forth in Board Policy. The Sick Leave Council shall be composed of two (2) administrators and a certified employee from each of the following school buildings: Heyburn Elementary School, St. Maries Middle School, UpRiver Elementary School, and St. Maries High School, one of which shall be a member of the St. Maries Education Association. In the event of a tie vote by the Sick Leave Council, the Superintendent shall cast the deciding vote. Certified employees who have accumulated one (1) or more days of personal sick leave as defined by Idaho Code Sections 33-1216 and 33-1217, shall be eligible for membership in the Sick Leave Bank.
