Training and Continuing Education. The University shall continue its practice of providing employees within GROUP R classifications with time off with pay and funding of reasonably related costs, in accordance with past practice and University policies, to attend seminars that are sponsored by Manufacturers Schools, the Federal Aviation Administration, or other competent authorities or agencies that pertain to the fire services to maintain certification in EMS or other relevant certifications, as determined by the University.

Training and Continuing Education. Section 43.1 The City shall provide the necessary training for the level of service provided. The Training Coordinator shall assess the priority of needs and channel identified funds for training toward those needs. The division and Union will continue to review and assess the training needs of the Division.
Training and Continuing Education. A. Employees shall receive schooling and training that will enhance service and protection at no cost to the employees. All schooling and training must receive prior approval by the Director of Public Safety and will be subject to Township budget capabilities. B. Cost directly relating to prior approved or required training and certifications shall be borne by the Township. C. Employees required to attend training during off duty periods shall be compensated for all time worked pursuant to the overtime provisions of this agreement. D. The Township may, in its sole discretion, require employees to provide proof of successful completion of any approved training including EMT certification. E. The Township will only pay costs and compensation related to training which has been prior approved by the Director of Public Safety. F. Classes which are mandatory or provide CEU’s towards any certifications may not reasonably be denied, subject to budget funds being available. G. Mandatory Division training and drills shall require a minimum of one weeks’ notice (7 days) by the training division or the Director of Public Safety.
Training and Continuing Education. EJFR shall manage all training and continuing education for PLFR personnel and delegate responsibilities within the organization as appropriate. EJFR shall align training management of both agencies to create uniform training policies and standards.
Training and Continuing Education. The Employer shall provide continuing education courses, in service training and other forms of training and education needed to meet certification and licensing requirements and to satisfy additional Employer (including the Employer's physicians and medical program directors) and governmental agency requirements at no cost to employees. The Employees shall be compensated at the employee's regular straight time hourly rate for all time spent in training and education as described in this Article. However, employees who fail to register for and attend employer- provided courses will be required to identify, attend and pay for any external courses necessary to maintain federal, state, local and employer-required education/training to maintain certification and licensing requirements for their assigned jobs. The following courses shall be provided as needed to ensure all bargaining unit employees' certifications remain current: BCLS or its equivalent ACLS or its equivalent PALS or its equivalent PHTLS or its equivalent
Training and Continuing Education. A. The State will allow Association Members to attend and successfully complete the necessary continuing professional education credits, in a timely manner, so they may keep their professional status in good standing with the issuing agency or entity. B. The State will permit Division of Criminal Justice Association Members time off with pay to attend these training programs. C. Continuing education courses related to required professional certification, which are a direct requirement of the employee's current job responsibilities, may be considered for reimbursement if funds are available. Reimbursement amounts will be consistent with the established tuition policy. D. Selection of the continuing professional programs shall be made as to comply with the required regulations of the issuing agency. Selection of the individual training course will be at the discretion of the license holder but subject to the approval of the Division. Any program selected under this section must earn the licensee continuing training hours/credits to be eligible for reimbursement or direct payment.

The cost of all Emergency Services training courses, which are necessary for the employee to maintain the minimum qualifications, certifications and/or licenses necessary to perform their regular duties shall be borne by the County entirely including Basic Communication continuing education, Emergency Medical Dispatch continuing education and CPR refresher courses. Employees shall be granted time off from regular duty to complete any required training courses if necessary, unless the course was offered by the Chief during work hours; however, prior approval from the Chief must be obtained. B. Any mandatory xxxx or training course that an employee is required by the Chief of Emergency Communications to attend on an employee’s day off will constitute “callback time” and employees will be compensated accordingly. C. Any fees or expenses necessary for an employee to acquire or maintain required certification or licenses shall be borne by the County. D. For bargaining unit employees employed at the Emergency Communications Center, the County will provide any and all mandatory certifications(s), re-certification(s) and/or continuing education according to the Office of Emergency Telecommunications requirements (OETS). If there are any costs associated with same for which an employee will seek reimbursement, the employee must receive prior approval from the Chief of Emergency Communications or reimbursement will be denied.

  • Distance Education 7.13.1 Expanding student access, not increasing productivity or enrollment, shall be the primary determining factor when a decision is made to schedule a distance education course. There will be no reduction in force of faculty (as defined in Article XXIII of this Agreement) as a result of the District’s participation in distance education. 7.13.2 Courses considered to be offered as distance education shall be defined in accordance with the Board of Governors’ Title 5 Regulations and Guidelines. Generally, this definition refers to courses where the instructor and student are separated by distance and interact through the assistance of communication technology (reference section 55370 of Title 5 California Code of Regulations). The determination of which courses in the curriculum may be offered in a distance education format, in addition to instructor/student contact requirements, shall be in accordance with the Title 5 California Code of Regulations.

  • Training and Support Licensor shall offer installation support to the Licensee and each of the Members, including assisting with the implementation of any Licensor software. Licensor will provide appropriate training to Licensee and Member staff relating to the use of the Licensed Materials and any Licensor software. Licensor will offer reasonable levels of continuing support to assist Licensee and Members in use of the Licensed Materials, including providing help files and other appropriate user documentation in connection with the use of and access to Licensed Materials. Licensor will, at a minimum, make its personnel available by email, telephone or via the Web, or in person during Licensor’s regular business hours, Monday through Friday, for training and user access support.

  • Employee Training The Provider shall provide periodic security training to those of its employees who operate or have access to the system. Further, Provider shall provide LEA with contact information of an employee who LEA may contact if there are any security concerns or questions.

  • Training Program It is agreed that there shall be an Apprenticeship Training Program, the provisions of which are set forth in Exhibit "D", which is attached hereto and forms part of this Agreement.
