Vacation Buy-Out. An employee may by written request elect to be paid for up to a maximum of two (2) weeks of accumulated vacation per calendar year. The written request must be received by the Sheriff’s Department Office Manager immediately following the last payroll of the year.

Vacation Buy-Out. After five (5) years of continuous service, an employee may cash out forty (40) hours of accrued vacation time per calendar year. For calendar years 2015, 2016 and 2017 and limited only to Dispatcher Classifications covered under this Agreement regardless of years of service shall have the option to “cash out” a maximum of sixty (60) hours of their unused Vacation/Personal Leave.
Vacation Buy-Out. The City agrees to allow all general full-time employees to receive cash equal to the employees’ daily base wage for up to 80 hours of vacation accrued but not taken provided the employee has taken or is scheduled to take 80 hours of vacation and/or miscellaneous leave in the calendar year and will have at least 40 hours accrued vacation remaining after vacation has been taken and after vacation buyout. For employees who have taken or are scheduled to take an additional 40 hours of vacation and/or miscellaneous leave in the calendar year and will have at least 40 hours accrued vacation remaining, an additional 80 hours may be cashed out. An employee or employees may exercise this option no more than twice during the calendar year. If the employee does not take off the required vacation time during the time periods set forth herein as well as any other requirements specified in the Agreement between the City and TOCEA, the employee will not be able to exercise the option of cashing out vacation days for two calendar years. In calculating the hours of vacation taken, employee donations of leave for purposes of catastrophic illness or injury shall be included.
Vacation Buy-Out. Employees with at least three (3) years of service as of June 1 of each year of this Agreement shall be eligible to receive as a cash payment an amount equal to up to one week of the individual’s accrued vacation leave, provided that the following conditions are met: 1) Documentation of one of the following scenarios must exist, and may consist of supervisor’s acknowledgement in writing, copies of an email exchange between the employee and supervisor, or similar substantiation, and; 2) The employee must have requested vacation and been denied by the Supervisor. The employee must further request and have been denied a reschedule of the vacation within 30 days of the original date proposed; 3) Or, the supervisor has failed to respond to a request for vacation leave within 30 days and later denied the request; 4) Or, the supervisor has approved a request for vacation leave and later revoked that approval. The decision to cash in vacation leave in accordance with this provision must be made by June 1. Vacation days cashed in shall be deducted from the employee’s vacation leave balance. Payment shall be made no later than the last pay period in July. Payments made under this provision shall not be included on base salary for any purposes, including the calculation of retirement benefits or subsequent salary increases.
Vacation Buy-Out. The parties recognize that unit members should strive to utilize accrued vacation time on a regular and consistent basis. Managers should also recognize the value of employees taking accrued time and approve requests unless it is unreasonable to do so. Employees who have been employed by the bargaining unit (department) for at least three years as of July 1 of each year of this agreement shall be eligible to receive, as a cash payment, an amount equal to one week of the individual’s accrued leave, subject to the restrictions below. The decision to cash in vacation leave in accordance with this provision must be made by June 1 of each year of this agreement. Vacation days cashed in shall be deducted from the employee’s vacation leave balance. Payment shall be made no later than the past pay period in July. Managers shall approve such payments, subject to the following: - Payment for such will not result in the contract/grant/project requiring a layoff, reduction in hours, decrease in payment or any other negative personnel action to any bargaining unit member; - The unit member has requested and been denied at least one week vacation time during the past year. - The unit member shall not have notified the PI of his/her intent to retire or resign within one year of the request; or, - The unit member’s position shall not be scheduled to be terminated due to the loss of the grant/project/contract funds supporting such person. Parties to meet in Labor Management to discuss modification of forms and process to increase efficient implementation of provision.
Vacation Buy-Out. Employees shall be entitled to be paid in cash at the time of retirement from the UG for accrued unused vacation pay standing to his credit at the time of his retirement. In the case of death in service of any employee, such payment shall be paid to the person or persons designated as that employee’s beneficiary or beneficiaries under the Kansas Public Employees Retirement System.
Vacation Buy-Out. Any permanent employee is eligible to a buyout of vacation days, up to two weeks, of their regular work hours. Such requests must be earned prior to the current school year and will be honored no more than twice annually. (Example: Full-time (40 hours per week) employees would be eligible to request 80 hours; Part time(15 hours per week) employees would be able to request 30 hours). A. Vacation Buy-Out. In the first pay period of December of each year, employees will receive the option to elect to cash out a portion of their earned vacation time. Employees may cash out up to a maximum of 80 hours providing that at least 40 hours of leave remain to cover unanticipated absences.
