Voluntary Reassignments. 12.4.1.1 A unit member must file a written request with his/her administrator. 12.4.1.2 The approval or denial of the reassignment shall be at the discretion of the site(s) administrator(s). This decision shall not be without basis. If a request is not approved, the administrator(s) will present in writing, his/her reasons for denying the reassignment. The applicant with the longest district seniority shall have first consideration for the reassignment position if he/she is properly credentialed. Preference shall be granted to those unit members who have been involuntarily transferred within the previous two (2) years.

Voluntary Reassignments. 1. Employees desiring a reassignment shall submit a Reassignment Form. 2. Administrators shall discuss reassignment with all employees who have submitted requests. 3. Administrators shall consider all reassignment applicants before filling a position from transfer applicants or outside applicants.
Voluntary Reassignments. 14.4.1.1 Unit members shall have the opportunity to apply for reassignment for the next semester or school year. Requests for reassignment shall be honored when the proposed change offers advantages to the students, the school, and the unit members concerned. On-site unit members shall be given first consideration for filling teaching vacancies in accordance with criteria established in 14.3.2.2. 14.4.1.2 For reassignments that occur during the school year, the District shall provide whatever released time (if any) is considered reasonable and necessary for the purpose of preparation. In no case shall such released time, which involves a classroom location change, be less than two (2) school days. 14.4.1.3 Unit members reassigned to a different classroom location prior to the beginning of the new school year are eligible to receive two (2) exchange days. 14.4.1.4 A reassignment request cannot be denied for arbitrary and/or capricious reasons. 14.4.1.5 The District shall offer to assist the unit member in moving equipment and/or materials.
Voluntary Reassignments. Should management desire to change an operator from a scheduled run to another run for the convenience of management, the Division Manager and the Union Division Officer or their designees shall jointly approach the operator and ask the operator if he or she would voluntarily make the change. Requests received will be acknowledged via an e-mail receipt within three (3) working days. 5.3.4 The following shall be used as a basis for voluntary reassignment. Provided that the following criteria are equal, then seniority will be the determining criterion: 5.3.4.1 Seniority within the District. 5.3.4.2 Quality of service to the District as reflected in past evaluations. 5.3.4.3 Experience within the classification and/or program.

Voluntary Reassignments. Teachers who desire a change in assignment may file a written statement of such desire with the Superintendent not later than February 28. Such statement shall include the type of change desired and the order of preference should there be several alternatives.
Voluntary Reassignments. 1. Unit members may initiate their own reassignment by submitting a written request to the District Superintendent. Forms will be emailed by the District to all unit members by March 1st. In order to ensure consideration for placement in a new position for the coming school year, a unit member’s written request for reassignment must be submitted by March 15th. a) The request shall be effective until the following March 15th. 2. Written requests for reassignment may be submitted at any time during the District’s regular office hours. 3. Unit members who have submitted the required form for a voluntary reassignment shall be notified of any certificated openings as soon as they come to the attention of the District. Only unit members who submitted the voluntary reassignment request will be considered for the certificated opening. The Administration shall make reasonable effort to notify all unit members who have a form on file requesting transfer to the vacant position. The District will attempt to contact unit members who have a completed reassignment request on file via District email. If no response is received from the Unit member, the District will attempt to contact the Unit member through the telephone number provided. Unit members will have three (3) business days to notify the District to receive consideration for the vacant position. If the vacancy occurs within eight (8) days before or after the start of a new school year, unit members will have twenty-four (24) hours to receive consideration for the vacant position after the District has made reasonable effort to notify all unit members who have a grade level preference form on file requesting interest in the vacant position. 4. The District shall post notice of all known certificated vacancies as soon as they come to the attention of the District 5. If a unit member’s request for voluntary reassignment is denied, he/she shall be granted, upon request, a meeting with the administrator to discuss the reasons for the denial. 6. No position shall be filled until after the closing date for applications as specified on the notice of vacancy. 7. Currently employed certificated staff members who have applied for and are qualified for a vacant position in the District’s teaching staff shall receive first consideration for the position prior to the employment of anyone from outside the District, except as mandated by federal or state employment guidelines. 8. Voluntary Reassignments. A. Employees may request to be reassigned. It is the responsibility of the employee to locate a position to which the employee would like to be reassigned. Unless there is an established local practice, the employee, or the employee’s Union representative, will submit a written request to the employee’s supervisor who will route the request to the appropriate decision making official. B. The Agency will consider a voluntary reassignment request and respond to the employee within 15 work days. If the request is denied, Management will inform the employee of the reasons for the denial. C. The Union and employees understand that Management is under no obligation to grant a voluntary reassignment request. D.
