WAGE AND BENEFITS. Section 1. The hourly wage rates and fringe benefits paid employees covered by this agreement shall be the hourly wage rates and fringe benefits in effect from October 1, 1997, through April 30, 1998, as contained in Attachment 1. On May 1, 1998, a Maintenance of Benefits adjustment (to a maximum of $0.20) will be available for Health and Welfare and Apprenticeship/Training funds. Specific criteria for these adjustments are to be developed by the Union/Management Administrative Committee.

WAGE AND BENEFITS. Juniper business partners must provide wages, benefits, and overtime pay required by all local wage and hour laws and regulations including those relating to minimum wages, overtime hours, piece rates, and other elements of compensation, and provide legally mandated benefits. Environmental Standards Juniper business partners must comply with all applicable laws and regulations relating to the impact of their business on the environment. Compliance with environmental law includes any international or applicable local laws affecting the source of materials and processes used to manufacture or deliver products and services. Pollution Prevention and Resource Conservation Juniper business partners are expected to take steps to ensure conservation of resources and reduction of waste generation of all types, including water, energy, and air emissions, by elimination or reduction at the source or by practices such as recycling and re-using materials, materials substitution, and modification of processes. Juniper business partners are expected to avoid undue and unnecessary use of packaging materials and utilize recycled materials whenever appropriate.
WAGE AND BENEFITS. The remaining amounts of the annual increases shall be allocated by the membership among wages, annuity and vacation and job training trust funds.
