WORK CLOTHING AND EQUIPMENT. 29.01 The Employer will supply all Employees with uniforms and will arrange for the cleaning of such uniforms. 29.02 The Employer will determine the type, quantity, quality and replacement criteria for uniforms with the understanding that it is key that Employees have a positive image. 29.03 Each Full-time Employee will be provided with a full-length locker. (a) Full-time Employees will be provided with an annual safety shoe allowance of $130. Safety shoes must be of a style and colour approved by the Employer. As well, Employees are required to provide a receipt for the reimbursement of the allowance should they wish to purchase the safety shoes from other than the Employer’s supplier. For Employees who have worn out his/her safety shoes due to operational demands, s/he will bring in their worn shoes to the Department Manager who will approve a replacement pair. Part-time Employees will receive an initial safety shoe allowance of $130. Thereafter, safety shoes worn out due to operational demands will be replaced as required. (2010) (b) Seasonal winter boots will be provided to full and part-time Employees up to a value of $150 for the initial pair and will be replaced annually as required. (2010) (2013) (c) Safety shoes and seasonal shoes are seen as part of the guards’ uniform and therefore the Employer agrees to provide shoe polish and laces as required. (2010) 29.05 Employees entrusted with Employer tools and equipment (e.g. keys, detex wands, golf carts, etc.) are expected to take appropriate care to ensure they are not damaged while in their possession. It is the Employee’s responsibility to report any loss of or damage to equipment to their direct Manager immediately.

WORK CLOTHING AND EQUIPMENT. A. The department will issue safety equipment (ie. hard hats, safety glasses, rubber boots, rubber gloves, etc,) as needed. Employees may wear denim pants as part of the employee uniform. B. For the contract year beginning 4.1.2013, the annual clothing allowance will be $1,000. Effective 4.1.2014, the clothing allowance shall be converted into an hourly rate of $.48/hour, based on the current allowance, and added to the employee hourly rate of compensation in lieu of further clothing allowances.

The Township shall also furnish quality safety equipment consisting of rubber gloves, orange vest, hard hats, safety glasses or goggles, ear protection, paper dust masks, back braces, and respirators. Such safety equipment will be furnished on an as needed basis. At the implementation of this agreement, the department policy is to have employees wear xxxxx pants and beige shirts. When weather permits they may wear xxxxx shorts and tan T-shirts. If this standard should change the department will notify the union in advance of such change. Employees must report to work in the clothing required by the Department which shall include outerwear. An employee who does not wear the pro-scribed clothing shall be subject to disciplinary action. Each quarter (January 1, April 1, July 1, and October 1) the Township will provide each employee a new pair of leather gloves. Effective annually on the first pay date in April, the Township will pay each employee a clothing allowance of $900.
WORK CLOTHING AND EQUIPMENT. A clothing allowance of $350 per year will be paid to each driver in November of each year. No stipend will be paid in a particular year to a driver whose employment commenced after July 1. To be eligible for payment of the stipends, a driver must have worked at least thirty (30) work days during the fiscal year. When a driver's thirtieth day of work in the fiscal year occurs after the date on which payments are regularly made, in accordance with the first sentence of this section, then the stipend shall be paid in the month next following said thirtieth day.

New employees must complete the probationary period of six (6) accumulated months before reimbursement is provided. c) Shop employees shall be provided with coveralls as required and cleaning thereof. d) The following clothing issue shall be made to the Public Weigh Scale Attendant as required: 1) Windbreaker-type jacket 2) Pair trousers e) The following clothing issue shall be made as required to members of the Trouble Department, Operations Assistant I and II (Root Removal/Treatment). Operations Assistant I and II (Valve Inspection) and Operations Assistant (Camera and Video): 1) Shirt 2) Pair trousers 3) Pair coveralls 4) One (1) parka and one (1) jacket every three (3) years. f) It is agreed that Works Division employees may purchase, through City Stores, any items of work clothing which are regularly carried in stock for issue. g) Coveralls shall be issued to staff as required. h) Two (2) pair of coveralls will be provided to each employee in the Solid Waste Branch, except Landfill Weigh Scale Operators, who are to be initially issued with two (2) pair of "battledress" type uniforms, and one (1) pair annually thereafter. i) An issue of one (1) parka for welder; two (2) parkas to be used in a pool for mechanics annually. j) Solid Waste Branch employees will be provided with one (1) issue of rainwear and rubber boots every three (3) years. k) Sewer and Water Section employees will be provided with insulated safety suits as required and approved by management.
WORK CLOTHING AND EQUIPMENT. The School Department shall furnish safety gear and any protection clothing necessary for the performance of special duties as determined by the Supervisor of Buildings and Grounds. The school department shall pay an allowance of up to $425 per year to each Custodian/Maintenance unit member to compensate for amounts expended for work clothing and shoes required for employment. Payment will be made in a lump sum prior to November 1 of each contract year upon receipt of purchase of said articles as described above. Said allowance will be in effect after the six (6) month probationary period. The School District reserves the right to require a Custodian/Maintenance unit member to wear a shirt, or t-shirt or dri-fit shirt for summer employment, monogrammed “Rockport Public Schools.” The School District will supply six (6) shirts or combination of shirts/sweatshirts annually.
WORK CLOTHING AND EQUIPMENT. The language has been updated to reflect the Employer’s current practice of reimbursing employees, in specific classifications of work, one hundred and fifty dollars ($150.00) for safety boots, as required and upon approval. A provision was added to allow the Employer to substitute equivalent clothing alternatives based on cost, availability and compliance standards.

WORK CLOTHING AND EQUIPMENT. 1. The City shall furnish protective work clothing (rubber boots, gloves, rain gear, coveralls) necessary for the performance of assigned duties. 2. The City shall furnish protective work equipment, hard hat, ear protection, goggles, etc., necessary for the performance of assigned duties. 3. Employees shall sign for all items of protective clothing and equipment at the time of issuance and shall be responsible for maintaining and safeguarding all items of protective clothing and equipment, once issued. Unserviceable items shall be turned in, on a one-for-one basis, prior to issuance of a replacement item. All items of protective gear issued shall be turned in upon termination of employment. 4. Once issued, unserviceable items shall be turned in and replaced on a one-for-one basis. 5. All full time members of the bargaining unit employed for one full year as of March 1 shall qualify for an annual payment of $350 as a clothing allowance, Payment shall be made in the first pay period following March 1 each year. Part time employees or those employed less than one full year shall qualify for a pro-rata share of this benefit.

WORK CLOTHING AND EQUIPMENT a) The Employer will provide employees classified as Garage Xxxxxxx, Automotive Mechanic, and Garage Attendant coveralls, or similar uniform work clothing, and laundering of such clothing at no cost to the employees. b) When it is necessary to wear special protective wearing apparel, for safety and the protection of the employees' health, the Employer will provide such clothing to its employees covered by this Agreement, at no cost to the employees. c) Employees are responsible for all tools, equipment and work clothes issued to them. Replacement of these items in excess of normal department issuance policy will be at the employee's expense.
