Xxxxxx and Benefits. Associate, Senior Associate, and Distinguished Associate Faculty shall receive compensation and benefits pursuant to this agreement.
Xxxxxx and Benefits. Salary while on a Type C Leave shall be at the unit member’s appropriate step on Schedule A. Regular health, dental and long-term disability benefits will be continued. Type C Leaves are exempt from Section 9.
Xxxxxx and Benefits. While on a Type E Leave, unit members shall receive salary and benefits as if fully employed and shall receive service credit for salary advancement and retirement.
Xxxxxx and Benefits. All negotiated salary and benefits shall be split according to the percentage of a regular full-time workday served by the participant. All leave provisions (e.g., sick, personal, professional, assault, etc.) shall be earned and used in half (1/2) day increments. Salary Schedule Advancement – Employees sharing positions shall receive the salary step advancement at the start of the school year and receive additional step increases following the accumulation of one year of full time service (example: 2 year at ½ time = 1 year advancement on the salary schedule.) Seniority – Participants shall earn seniority credit for layoff on a pro-rated basis, for example, one half- time service provides one-half seniority credit. Contract Status, Evaluation and Xxxxxx – Job-sharing teacher participants shall be considered for contract status, evaluation, and layoff on the same basis as other teachers. Non-Instructional Duties – Each participant must attend all contractually required duties that are required of a full-time teacher. (e.g., parent-teacher conferences, required principal/building meetings, inservice meetings, etc.) Day to day duty responsibilities (e.g., lunchroom, playground, etc.) shall be assigned by the building principal and shall be balanced equally between the job share participants. Notification of Superintendent – The participants must provide written notice to the Superintendent on or before April 1 of each year stating their desire to continue or not to continue in the job share arrangement. Interim Reports and Grade Report Cards – The participants will also work together to cooperatively complete report cards and interim progress reports. Substitution – Job sharing participants cannot be required to substitute for other job sharing participants. If they agree to substitute, they shall be compensated at their pro-rated per diem rate. Discontinuation of the Job Share Arrangement – In the event that one or both staff members desire to end the job share arrangement, that teacher(s) shall resign his or her position with the District and will then be reconsidered for reemployment based on future openings for which they are certified/licensed. If the Superintendent chooses to discontinue the job share arrangement, both teachers must be offered full time employment in position(s) for which they are property certified/licensed. Each teacher may apply to return to full time teaching and will be considered based on certification/licensure.
Xxxxxx and Benefits. An employee on leave shall be paid one-half (1/2) salary for a full year leave. From this compensation shall be made the regular deductions for TPAF and other deductions required by law or at the request of the supervisor. During a sabbatical leave year, supervisors shall accrue sick leave and personal days proportional to the portion of the school year actually worked, i.e., one semester sabbatical equals ½ sick and personal days accrued.
Xxxxxx and Benefits. 20.1 In order to be employed, the unit member must hold the appropriate credential for elementary or middle school teaching. Education requirements for each Column are as follows:
Column 1 Bachelor’s Degree and credential Column 2 BA, credential plus additional fifteen semester units Column 3 BA, credential plus additional thirty semester units Column 4 BA, credential plus additional forty semester units and Master’s Degree or BA, credential plus additional forty-five units Column 5 BA, credential plus additional fifty semester units and Master’s Degree or BA, credential plus additional sixty semester units
20.2 Initial step and column placement for district school nurses shall be based on the licensure requirements and certified experience up to sixteen (16) year.
Xxxxxx and Benefits. A teacher on child care leave is eligible to participate in group insurance programs, if permitted under the insurance policy provisions, but shall pay the entire premium monthly and in advance to the insurance carrier, commencing with the beginning of the child care leave. The right to continue participation in such group insurance programs, however, will terminate if the teacher does not return to the District pursuant to this section or does not pay premiums according to this subdivision. A teacher on unpaid leave and continuing to participate in the group insurance plan shall be charged a pro-rata amount based on the number of unpaid leave days divided by the total number of days in the duty year times the yearly insurance rate.
Xxxxxx and Benefits. NOTE: The dates stated in the following are not meant to be final hut to reflect the objective of having a procedure that ends by approximately April 15 of each year.
1. Salary and benefits for faculty members and librarians shall be negotiated annually in accordance with the following procedures.

The Association or the University shall, prior to the month of December in the academic year in which the current agreement on salaries and benefits expires, give written notice to the other party expressing its desire to negotiate in respect of salaries or benefits, or both. The notice shall specify matters sought to be amended, added or modified,
3. The parties shall meet within four (4) weeks after the giving of notice and shall negotiate in good faith and make every reasonable effort to reach an agreement.
4. The parties shall with reasonable dispatch provide each other with such data and documentation as maybe reasonably requested to enable full and rational discussion of salary and benefit matters.
5. If agreement has not been reached by January 15 following the giving of notice, a Mediator/Fact Finder shall be appointed by mutual agreement. If the parties are unable to agree upon a Mediator/Fact Finder by January 20, the Chief Justice of Ontario or, in his or her absence, the Associate Chief Justice of Ontario, shall be asked to make the appointment upon the application of either party.
6. Within one week after the appointment of the Mediator/Fact Finder, each party shall give written notice to the Mediator/Fact Finder and to the other party setting out the matters relating to salaries and/or benefits that the parties have agreed upon for inclusion in an agreement, the matters remaining unresolved, and the positions of both parties with respect to each unresolved matter.
7. The Mediator/Fact Finder shall meet with the parties and endeavour to effect agreement on the unresolved matters.
8. After the conclusion of mediation, but prior to the preparation and publication of the report of the Mediator/Fact Finder as hereinafter described, the panics shall meet at least once with the Mediator/Fact Finder. At that meeting, the Mediator/Fact Finder may convey to the parties, on a confidential basis, what the Mediator/Fact Finder regards as an appropriate settlement of the unresolved issues or the range within which the parties should attempt to reach settlement.
