Xxxxxxx of Vacancies for which the Bureau of Human Resources Provides a Certificate of Eligible Candidates Current procedures for filling of vacancies for which the Bureau of Human Resources provides a Certificate of Eligible Candidates shall be continued during the term of this Agreement. The following principles, however, shall be followed:
Xxxxxxx of Vacancies. In the event of a vacancy in a direct hire position, positions shall be filled on the basis of: first, ability and qualifications to perform the duties of the classification and second, where the "first" is equal among two or more employees, seniority will govern. All job vacancies shall be posted in the applicable department, agency, organizational unit or unit division for ten (10) workdays. Notice of vacancies shall include the full particulars of the positions, including a job description, job location, pay rate, required qualifications and requirements for applying. Any employee wishing to be considered for the applicable position shall file a written, dated application with his/her appointing authority or designee within the posting period. Employees in a department or agency who are in the same classification who apply for transfer into a vacancy shall be offered the opportunity to interview for such vacancy. Job posting notices shall indicate the name and title of the person to whom applications should be submitted. Seasonal and part-time employees shall have the right to apply for full-time vacancies and shall be given consideration in accordance with their abilities, qualifications and seniority. Upon promotion an employee shall be entitled to return to his/her former position voluntarily within thirty (30) days of promotion; otherwise voluntary demotion rules will apply. If an employee exercises these return rights, the State at its discretion may hire consistent with the other terms of this article, from the previous group of applicants rather than repost the position. Employees promoted under the provisions of this Article will be in a probationary status for a period of six (6) months from the effective date of the promotion. Such probationary period may be extended for just cause for an additional six
Xxxxxxx of Vacancies. Vacancies in the FVWDB shall be filled by appointment by the CEO in accordance with the Act, the Consortium Agreement and By-Laws in effect at the time of the vacancy.
Xxxxxxx of Vacancies. 1. For positions in classifications designated in Appendix A, the following shall apply: In the event of a vacancy in a position after application of the recall provisions in this Article, such vacancy shall be filled from among eligible employees on the basis of ability and qualifications to perform the duties of the position. Where qualifications and ability are substantially equal, seniority will be the governing factor in final selection. Vacancies shall be filled as follows:
Xxxxxxx of Vacancies. 1. A Domicile vacancy is one where the Company determines there is an opening of more than ninety (90) days which it wishes to fill.
Xxxxxxx of Vacancies. 1. All employees who apply for posted vacancies shall be given first priority in the filling of such vacancies before new applications are considered.
Xxxxxxx of Vacancies. Employee requests for voluntary transfer will be considered through August 10th of each year. After August 10th, a new transfer request must be submitted for the next school year. Employee transfer requests before the deadline will be considered prior to assigning surplus personnel or new hires. Consideration includes qualifications, training, experience, annual evaluations, and time in the District. Employees requesting a transfer will be interviewed and considered (see paragraph above) at all sites to which they have requested a transfer when a vacancy for which they are qualified is advertised. If a principal denies the request, he/she shall notify the teacher in writing prior to considering other applicants outside the system and provide a copy of the notice to UTM upon request. Forms to be used for interviewing and ranking applicants are provided in Appendix G.
Xxxxxxx of Vacancies. 1. When a vacancy occurs and there are no bids on file, the Company may post a vacancy system-wide electronically (e.g., employee portal). Notices of vacancies will be posted for a period of seven (7) days. Such notices will specify the classification, station, qualifications, standards and the bid closing date. The Company will allow employees to file a standing bid for future vacancies.
Xxxxxxx of Vacancies. The Board and/or designees will give due consideration to all applicants from the present staff in the filling of vacancies, including vacancies in promotional positions.
Xxxxxxx of Vacancies. 1. When a Department Chair position becomes open or at the end of the two (2) year appointment term, an internal posting will be generated, approved by the Human Resource Department and posted internally at each school on the first day that teachers return to work. If an opening occurs mid-term, the vacancy will be posted immediately and that appointment will be for the remainder of the two (2) year appointment term. All Department Chair appointments, district-wide, are on the same appointment term. Interested individuals in each department shall apply by letter and résumé to the principal for the position which will be shared with the department prior to its vote. During the first weeks of instruction in September, all members of each department where chairs exist shall, by secret ballot, recommend a teacher for the appointment as department chair for the new two (2) year appointment term (October 1st – September 30th). The principal will reconvene a team to interview the candidates. The team may include but not be limited to members of the department or discipline, appropriate Central Office administrators, such as a director or supervisor in the particular discipline, instructional leadership specialists and assistant principals. Upon completion of the interviews, the principal will review all of the information and recommendations regarding the positions. The principal, in accordance with the Education Reform Act, shall be the appointing authority upon approval of the Superintendent.
