ARTICLE WORKING CONDITIONS. The Employer agrees that the provisions of this Agreement shall, to the extent and in the manner specifically provided for herein, establish wages, benefits and/or working conditions of employees. Notwithstanding Article above, the Employer agrees that no employee shall suffer a wage reduction as a result of the ratification of this Agreement. The Union agrees that any benefit or working condition that is not specifically provided for in this Agreement shall be null and void and of no effect upon the date of signing of this Agreement.

ARTICLE WORKING CONDITIONS. The duties and responsibilitiesof an EducationalAssistant will be assigned by the Principal in accordance with the job description. ARTICLE WORKING CONDITIONS. (a) All tools, powered or otherwise, used on all projects for work under the jurisdiction of the United Brotherhood of Carpenters and Joiners of America, Local Union shall be operated only by bona fide members of xxx Xxxxxxxxxx' Union under this Agreement. The Employer shall provide a proper sanitary separate place of shelter with table and benches, and sufficiently heated inclement weather, where employees may eat their lunch. The lunchroom will be kept clean and will be clear of all building materials or other construction equipment. The liability hereunder shall be as per the agreement for clothing and tools for each employee. If required by the Employer, the employee must provide a list of tools and clothing left the designated locked storage at the end of a shift without the written consent. Facilities such as vises, and files for the filing of saws will be provided by the Employer. Carpenters will be allowed time to sharpen their tools and where there is no filer on the job, file their saws during working hours.
ARTICLE WORKING CONDITIONS. Effective for the period September to August in addition to the preparation time provided above, the Board agrees that one half of a Professional Activity day will be provided for the exclusive use of each teacher to be designated as in-school preparation time free from supervisory and teaching duties, prorated for part time staff. The date for the Professional Activity day shall be established through the process of establishing the school year calendar. The parties agree that the use of this one-half Professional Activity day will no longer be available once the two hundred (200) minutes of preparation time has been achieved. The Board shall consult with the Local on how this day may be used in the future.
ARTICLE WORKING CONDITIONS. Employees shall report immediately to their Employer any and all losses, damages or shortage of merchandise or equipment together with a statement of the cause thereof Employees shall report immediately in complete detail all accidents including the names and addresses of all witnesses to the accident. Employees shall report promptly to their Employers in all defects in equipment when completing their run. No employees shall be compelled to take out equipment, which in the opinion of his Employer’s Master Xxxxxxxx, or the Deputy named by the Company involved, is not in good mechanical condition. No employees shall be permitted to allow anyone other than the employees of his Employer, who are on duty, to ride on his truck. Upon request made to any Employer or his designated representative an accredited Union Official will be granted access to any Employer’s premises for the purpose of himself that the terms of this Agreement are being complied with. The Employers will provide Bulletin Boards in mutually satisfactory locations in all yards for the use of the Union in posting notices of Union activities. It is agreed that the Employers have the right to rule on all material for approval prior to such posting. The Employers will maintain in order the heaters, and windshield wipers, provided they were part of the original equipment of the vehicle. Time Clocks to be used by the employees when equipment is dispatched the main yard. The Employer shall pay all overload weight tickets only incurred by the Employer. No Driver shall be suspended or discharged for to operate equipment that is not in operating condition or continually over loaded.

ARTICLE WORKING CONDITIONS. Notwithstanding other provisions in this collective agreement, the Board may assign the additional teaching staff generated by the increase in elementary teacher preparation time above the level, to enable full-time teaching assignments in the arts in more than one elementary school. This shall be done in consultation with a Joint Advisory Committee. Notwithstanding other provisions in this collective agreement, the additional weekly minutes of preparation time above the level, generated within consecutive instructional days, may be aggregated to provide for meaningfulblocks of preparation time for teachers. The Board may not use the aggregated additional minutes of preparation to hire occasional teachers to provide teacher coverage, as opposed to regular specialist teachers. Missed preparation time shall only be rescheduled where a teacher is required by the Principal to provide instruction during his or her scheduled preparation time for a teacher absent from work. Such rescheduling of missed preparation time shall occur as soon as administratively feasible, but no later than three months the loss of the preparation time and in any event within the same school year. Effective September in order to provide additional time for report card preparation or other teacher initiated activities the Board agrees that one half of a Professional Activity day will be provided for the exclusive use of each teacher to be designated as a preparation time free from supervisory and teaching duties, prorated for part time staff. The date for the Professional Activity day shall be established through the process of establishing the school year calendar. The parties agree that the use of this one-half Professional Activity day will no longer be available once two professional activity days have been designated in as outlined in In addition to the above, in the school year, one Professional Activity Day will be designated for the purpose of assessment and completion of report cards at the elementary level. The day will be designated in the calendar prior to the first reporting period. Effective in School Year, two (2) Professional Activity Days will be designated for the purpose of assessment and completion of report cards at the elementary level: one prior to the first reporting period and one prior to the second reporting period. ARTICLE WORKING CONDITIONS. The Employer agrees it will not lay off employees or change conditions of employment or working conditions except for a reduction of workload, mechanization or improved operating methods. In the event that any of the above actions are planned, the Union will be advised of such action and discussion will take place before action is taken. The principles of seniority shall be recognized by the Company. Lay-offs due to lack of work, and recalls, shall be made on the basis of seniority, provided that the senior employee has the skill and ability to do the job in a competent manner. In the event a service or production clerk or a meat cutter is to be laid off out of seniority order within his classification, where lack of skill and ability is a factor, such employee if he so requests shall receive the normal training in order to qualify him to displace a junior employee within his own classification, or may exercise bumping rights providing he has the skill and ability to do the job in a competent manner into an equivalent or lower job classification,or into the meat cutter classification if he is a member of Local or into the Bakery Department Head classification if the employee is a Bake-Off Department Head.

Rubber boots to be provided to those employees who require same. Prior to the taking over of any piece of mechanical equipment an employee of the Employer is to satisfy himself of its serviceability and completeness of equipment, and report in writing to his xxxxxxx immediately if the equipment is not satisfactory in all respects.
