Attendance Allowance. The contractor shall pay attendance allowance per day @ 50% of the daily wages notified by the Minister of Labour under the Minimum Wages Act from time to time to the regular workers generally employed by him on him on piece rate basis when such worker report for duty on the day but is not booked or given work for the day shift. Aforesaid wage/benefits at Clause vi (e) (i) to (iii) shall be deemed to be a part of this contract and any contravention thereof shall be deemed to be a breach of this contract. He General Manager shall have the right to deduct any sum due to the contractor required for making good the loss suffered by a worker of workers by reasons of non-fulfillment of the condition of the contract for the benefit of workers, non-payment of wages, or of deductions made from his or their wages which were not justified or not observations of the regulations/enactments mentioned in Clause VI (a). 4iv. Welfare and Health of contract Labour Duties and responsibilities of the contractor: The contractor shall comply with the provisions as regards provision of canteen/rest room, latrine, Urinal, Washing facilities, first and facilities etc as follows as contained in the Contract Labour ( Regulation &Abolition) Act 1970 and other applicable laws no amended from time to time.

Attendance Allowance. 5.2.1 An allowance known as the “Attendance Allowance” will be paid as a flat rate for all periods that an employee actually attends work. Payment of such allowance may be changed in accordance with clause 5.1.2. 5.2.2 The Attendance Allowance will be paid as follows for all plumbing based employees except apprentices: -$1.65 per hour for each hour worked -$62.70 per week (if a standard 38 hours is worked) For all apprentices the Attendance Allowance will be a flat 51 cents for all hours worked for the period of the agreement or $ 19.38 per week (if a standard 38 hours is worked). Payment of such allowance may be changed in accordance with clause 5.1.2. 5.2.3 With the introduction of the Attendance Allowance the following Award based allowances are absorbed into that allowance and cease to be individually paid for any purpose. • Employees accepting responsibility for statutory authority (re licence allowance)(clause 11.1.1) • Multi-story work (clause 11.7) • Insulation (clause 12.1) • Bitumen word (clause 12.11) • Cutting tiles (clause 12.12) • Hospitals (clause 12.14) • Service shafts (clause 12.15)
Attendance Allowance. 18.01 If an employee reports to work at the beginning of his regular shift without receiving notice not to come in at least two (2) hours before the beginning of his shift, he shall be paid the equivalent of four (4) hours of work at the regular rate, but such obligation on the part of the Company shall not apply if the work shortage is due to conditions beyond the Company’s control, or the employee returns to work before being advised of same following an absence of more than three (3) days due to illness or accident. In the event of a situation beyond the Company’s control, the Company shall strive to notify the employees where possible.
Attendance Allowance. Employees will be paid an allowance in accordance with Appendix 1 per day worked to encourage attendance. The allowance will not be payable for any day the employee has an unauthorised absence or any form of leave or RDO.
Attendance Allowance. 18.01 If an employee reports to work at the start of his regular shift without having been advised at least two (2) hours before the start of his shift not to come in, he must be paid the equivalent of four (4) hours of work at the regular rate provided that that obligation on the part of the Company shall not apply if the lack of work is due to conditions outside the Company's control, or if the employee returns to his work before being so advised, following an absence of more than three (3) days due to an illness or an accident. In the cases when it is a situation out of the Company's control, the Company shall endeavor to so notify the employees if that is possible. 18.02 Payment for call to work: Any employee who is called back to work by the Company after he has left at the end of his workday or of his regular workweek shall receive a minimum of four (4) hours of pay at regular rate or the equivalent of the hours worked paid at time and one-half, whichever formula is more profitable for the employee.

Attendance Allowance. At the end of each six week period of the Agreement, an attendance allowance (Table D Schedule 1) shall be paid, calculated, at the rate shown in Table D, per day attended and worked or per day of annual leave or long service leave taken where this leave has been approved in writing in advance by the Coordinator or Manager and is for a period of not less than 5 days (or 4 days in a week including a public holiday). No attendance allowance will be payable for any six week period where the number of days absent from work is greater than two . However, for one six week period only in each year of the Agreement, where actual absences are greater than two days and where an employee's attendance past record is otherwise less than two days in every six weeks, the Manager will have discretion to approve payment of 50% of the full Attendance Allowance for the six week period. The attendance allowance shall be paid in arrears in the second week of the following six-week period. This allowance shall be adjusted in accordance with the Award. The attendance allowance will not be paid for any other form of leave such as sick leave, carers leave, other paid leave as provided by the Award, leave without pay or workers compensation leave. The attendance allowance will not be paid for any Annual Leave or Long Service Leave where the period of leave is less than 5 days (or less than 4 days in a week including a public holiday). The attendance allowance is not payable for work undertaken on Saturday or Sunday or work carried out at overtime rates. The attendance allowance will not be paid to casual employees. The attendance allowance will be paid to temporary relief staff.
Attendance Allowance. 5.8.1 In return for compliance with the provisions of this Agreement, a Company attendance allowance will be available to all Employees covered by this Agreement. 5.8.2 The allowance shall remain available for the duration of this Agreement. 5.8.3 The allowance shall consist of a maximum payment equivalent to 10 ordinary days of payment of employment in any calendar year, for each employee’s classification. 5.8.4 The allowance shall decrease by the equivalent of one day’s payment of employment, for each day of unplanned absence during that calendar year. Employee’s with more than two days unplanned absences will not receive any allowance.
