General Contractor Requirements. Lessee’s contract with the Rehabilitation Contractor shall provide: (i) that State shall not be liable for any labor, services, materials or equipment furnished or to be furnished to Lessee; (ii) that general contractor agrees to indemnify State, Commission and Lessee for claims for property damage or bodily injury arising out of the negligence or willful misconduct of such contractor and its employees, agents and subcontractors, and the failure of such contractor to perform any of its obligations under the applicable contract; (iii) that the Rehabilitation Contractor and each of its subcontractors shall perform the work described in the contract in compliance with applicable laws and codes, including without limitation any bearing on the safety of persons and property; and (iv) that the Rehabilitation Contractor will verify that any subcontractors retained by it are validly existing and duly licensed and registered under the laws of the state of Washington and have all applicable licenses and required insurance coverages.

General Contractor Requirements. Sixteen HFPSs will be free issued to the Contractor for the purposes of the Works. The existing transformers are supplied with two (2) three (3) core, 120 mm2 low voltage copper cabling. The scope of the Contractor shall be to install a separate single phase earth core of size 95 mm2 as per section 3.6.4. The electrical interfacing point will be the 400V switchgear supply. The existing supply available for the HFPSs from the switchgear is a 2 phase supply which shall have to be modified by the Contractor to a 3 phase supply as per the requirements section 3.6.2. Earthing must be done according to the Employers earthing standard (240-56356396), the Contractor shall ensure that the earthing design conforms to all requirements for the HFPS to be installed. All earthing shall be stranded conductor type with the cross sectional minimum area compliant to 240-56356396. The Contractor is required to supply and install a minimum earth of 95mm2 cable size for earthing (excluding the earthing from the substation/ transformer to the HFPS) and control cables where required by his product in his design or earlier prior to construction/ installation onsite. The Contractor shall supply the Employer with all the protection requirements, including all ratings and types of power fuses if required for the HFPSs. The Contractor shall also supply and install appropriately sized surge arrestors for each HFPS phase on the LV primary The Contractor is required to present for approval by the Employer a detailed Factory Acceptance Test programme which includes testing of the separate interfaces. The Contractor must ensure that the designs comply with applicable IEC standards and are tested in accordance with the provisions of this specification and best engineering practices where no standards are referenced, this shall be in agreement with the Employer. The Contractor will test the integrity of the ESP bonding network/grid installed by the contractor to the ground grid. The Contractor will be required to present a detailed test programme for the approval of the Employer. At tender, the Contractor shall submit a list of tests with test values including acceptance criteria to be used during FAT and SAT.
