JOB POSTING (Note. See also Job Posting 9.05) (01) The terms hereof shall not preclude the Hospital from hiring outside employees where special skills are required or if there are no suitable applicants for any posted job, nor shall such terms preclude the Hospital from filling any job on a temporary basis while the posting procedures are being carried out. If no applications from employees of this bargaining unit are received, then, as per Q.02, consideration will be given to other C.U.P.E. bargaining unit employees of the Hospital who apply before hiring outside applicants. (02) This is to confirm that candidates who apply to posted CUPE positions in accordance with Article 9.05 of the CUPE Collective Agreements (Local 5001), will be considered as follows: First, consideration will be given to applicants belonging to the same CUPE bargaining unit as that of the posted position (Toronto Western Hospital – PT/Casual). Such applicants will be considered in order of seniority. Should no successful applicant be found from within the above CUPE bargaining unit, second consideration will be given to CUPE Local 5001 applicants belonging to the same bargaining unit site, in order of seniority (Toronto Western Hospital – FT; Clerical). Third consideration will be given to other CUPE Local 5001 bargaining unit sites (Toronto General Hospital; or Women’s Own). These other CUPE applicants will be considered in order of seniority, regardless of the bargaining units to which they belong (Full-time; Part-time/Casual; or Women’s Own). Fourth consideration will be given to applicants belonging to other CUPE bargaining units within the University Health Network, prior to considering persons who are members of CUPE bargaining units within the University Health Network. The University Health Network’s Staffing team provides hiring managers with lists of CUPE applicants in the order that the applicants should be considered, based on the terms described herein. Note: For the purpose of calculating reciprocal seniority, the following formula will apply: (03) A job shall not be considered vacant for posting where the employee is on vacation, is absent due to illness or leave of absence, or on lay-off subject to recall. (04) The Hospital shall forward to the Union at the same time it is being sent to the respective department where the vacancy exists, electronically, via email, a copy of the internal applicant list, within ten (10) business days of the end of the posting procedure. The posting shall not close for five (5) working days subsequent to the day posted. For 10 month employees, summer postings may occur the 2nd week of July and the 3rd week of August. Where the ability and qualifications in factor (a) are relatively equal, seniority shall govern. 18.04 Notwithstanding Part B, Article 18.03, unless the posting involves a promotion to a higher job classification, or increase in hours, the successful applicant to a temporary position must remain in the temporary position for at least one hundred forty (140) working days before applying for another temporary posting. 18.05 Only qualified internal applicants will be interviewed for internal postings. If no applications are received or no qualified employees apply, the Board may hire externally. 18.06 The Board shall post a permanent vacancy within ten (10) working days of the position becoming vacant and shall make reasonable efforts to hold interviews within twenty (20) working days within the closing of the posting.   • JOB POSTING The following provision will appear in all collective agreements replacing any related provision that existed in the hospital's expiring collective agreement: (Any provision pertaining to definition of temporary vacancies, non-bargaining unit applications, outside advertising, interim placements or criteria for selection except as it relates to promotions and transfers that existed in the hospital's expiring collective agreement will be continued as the last paragraph of this Article). "Where a permanent vacancy occurs in a classification within the bargaining unit or a new position within the bargaining unit is established by the Hospital, such vacancy shall be posted for a period of seven (7) consecutive calendar days. Applications for such vacancy shall be made in writing within the seven (7) day period referred to herein. The postings shall stipulate the qualifications, classifications, rate of pay, department and shift and a copy shall be provided to the Chief Xxxxxxx. Vacancies created by the filling of an initial permanent vacancy will be posted for a period of three (3) consecutive calendar days, excluding Saturdays, Sundays and Holidays. Within this period the employee may voluntarily return, or be returned by the Hospital to the position formerly occupied, without loss of seniority. The vacancy resulting from the posting may be filled on a temporary basis until the trial period is completed. A list of vacancies filled in the preceding month under this Article and the names of the successful applicants will be posted, with a copy provided to the union."

  • Job Postings The employee may apply for a job posting at either home based on their seniority at the designated employer. The vacancy will be filled in accordance with Article 9 of the collective agreement. Where seniority is the deciding factor the most senior candidate will be selected regardless of which home her/his seniority was accumulated.

  • Posting of Schedules The Employer shall post the weekly work schedule for all employees not later than Monday 6:00 p.m. and twenty-two (22) days in advance. An employee's schedule may be changed without notice in the event of absence of other staff due to sickness or accident or in the event of emergencies. In all other cases, at least twenty-four (24) hours' notice of any change must be given or four (4) additional hours' pay given in lieu of notice. All requests for time off for special personal events to be made to Management for their approval prior to the posting of the schedule, and will be granted wherever possible. It is understood that this clause does not apply to casual employees. There shall be a daily starting time for each employee. Daily hours of work for full time employees shall be consecutive, with the exception of meal periods.

  • Schedule of Services Consultant shall perform the Services in a prompt and timely manner in accordance with the Schedule of Services set forth in Exhibit "B" attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference. Consultant represents that it has the professional and technical personnel required to perform the Services expeditiously. Upon request of City, Consultant shall provide a more detailed schedule of anticipated performance to meet the Schedule of Services.

  • Job Postings and Applications ‌ If a vacancy or a new job is created for which union personnel might reasonably be recruited, the following shall apply: (a) If the vacancy or new job has a duration of thirty (30) calendar days or more, the vacancy or new job including salary range, a summary of the job description, the required qualifications, the hours of work, including start and stop times and days off, the work area and the commencement date shall, before being filled, be posted for a minimum of seven (7) calendar days, in a manner which gives all employees access to such information, provided that no employees shall be entitled to relieve other regular employees under this clause on more than two (2) occasions in one calendar year unless the Employer and the Union otherwise agree in good faith. Should a vacancy under this Article result in backfilling of more than one (1) vacancy (including the initial vacancy) the second (2nd) vacancy may be filled by an employee registered for casual work unless the Employer and the Union agree otherwise in good faith. If the application of this paragraph requires the Employer to pay overtime to the employee pursuant to Article 19, the proposed move shall not be made. An employee who accepts work under this provision is not eligible to work in another Article 16.01(c) assignment that conflicts with the accepted one. Probationary employees and employees undergoing a qualifying period shall not be considered for a 16.01(c) assignment in a different classification. (ii) by employees registered for casual work in accordance with the casual addendum. (iii) in cases of unanticipated or unplanned temporary absences, such temporary absence may first be filled under (c)(ii) for a period of up to seven (7) days. (d) A part-time employee who has accepted a casual assignment which conflicts with a temporary vacancy referred to in paragraph (c)(i) above shall be considered unavailable for such temporary vacancy. A part-time employee who has accepted a temporary vacancy referred to in paragraph (c)(i) above which conflicts with a casual assignment shall be considered unavailable for such casual assignment. Where an employee declines an offer to work under (c)(i) the Employer need not offer the work again to that employee under (c)(ii), if she/he is also registered for casual work. (e) Existing local agreements will be in force and effect (including termination clauses) unless changed by mutual agreement by the parties at the local level. (f) Where the local agreement covering access to work by part-time employees (former “15.01c”) does not contain a termination clause, the agreement may be terminated on giving of six (6) months’ notice by either party. (g) By mutual agreement, the parties may vary the job posting process set out in Article 16.01.
