President’s Release Time. 5-5-1. TSD will support release time for the Xxxxxxxx Education Association president as follows: • A minimum of half time release for Association president with the Association reimbursing the district the cost of release time salary, PERA and insurance benefits of the elected president’s scheduled salary position. • TSD will retain the Association president on full salary, XXXX and insurance benefit schedule for the duration of the contract. • The Association president will receive all salary and step schedule increases with PERA and insurance benefit privileges as negotiated for the contract period. • The Association will have the right to increase the release time president with the understanding that reimbursement of salary, XXXX, and benefits to the district will reflect stated equivalent release of the elected president’s schedule salary position. The Association will notify the district of any increase in release time no later than May 1st of each year. • Additional days of leave will be granted provided they are mutually agreed upon by the Association and the Superintendent. The district will provide cost coverage for such days.
President’s Release Time. 1. The Board hereby agrees to release the president of the Association from teaching duties for 100% (time).
2. The Board will continue to pay the president their salary and to provide benefits as specified in the Agreement. The Association will reimburse the Board for such salary and benefits costs upon receipt of a monthly statement.
3. For purposes of pension, experience, sick leave and seniority, the president shall be deemed to be in the full employ of the Board.
4. The president shall inform the Board of the number of days or partial days, if any, that they were absent from presidential duties due to illness. Such days or partial days shall be deducted from the president's accumulated sick leave credits.
5. When the president is on sick leave, the vice-president or delegated person, when necessary, shall be granted leave of absence to replace the president. The Association shall pay the costs of a teacher teaching on call, for the period of such replacement, to the Board.
a. The teacher returning to full teaching duties from a term or terms as president shall be assigned to the position held prior to the release providing that this position continues to exist.
b. If the teacher's original position no longer exists, the teacher shall be placed in an equivalent position in accordance with transfer practices in the District.
c. A teacher shall be entitled to placement under Article A.25.5.a and A.25.5.b only at the beginning of a school year. A teacher returning to full teaching duties during a school year shall be placed in an appropriate position after consultation with the teacher and the Association, with entitlement to placement under Article A.25.5.a and A.25.5.b at the commencement of the next school year.
President’s Release Time. The Association has the option of purchasing one period per day at the junior high level or an equivalent amount of time at the elementary level for the purpose of president’s release time. The Association will reimburse the District for the actual cost of the substitute teacher. The time and day is to be mutually determined by the Association and District administration.
President’s Release Time. 1. The Board hereby agrees to the release of the President of the Association from a percentage of their teaching duties--the percentage range to be determined by the Association as soon as possible; but, in any event no later than April of each year. The final percentage will be determined by the President in consultation with their Administrative Officer and will be guided by the school's timetable. In the event that emergent circumstances require a replacement for the President, due to their resignation or illness, the Superintendent shall be advised and a procedure consistent with the above shall apply. In the event a part-time teacher or teacher teaching on call requests leave under this Article, arrangements will be made consistent with this Article.
2. The Board will continue to pay the President their salary and to provide benefits as specified in the Agreement. The Association will reimburse the Board for the salary and benefits costs for the replacement teacher with the exception of Teachers' Pension Fund contribution.
3. For the purposes of sick leave, pension, increment and seniority, the President shall be deemed to be in the full employ of the Board.
4. The teacher returning to full teaching duties from a term or terms as President shall be assigned to the position held prior to the release, or to another position as provided for in this Agreement.
President’s Release Time. [Section 5.14 shows changes to side letter that was formerly attached as Appendix I.] The Association President will be released on a full-time basis, effective the first full pay period in July 2000 (7/11/00). The Association is responsible to pay the County for all salary and benefit costs, including accruals, related the President’s full-time release ― of which 500 hours maximum of earned compensatory time off or vacation may be voluntarily donated by SCLEA-represented employees.
President’s Release Time. Conditions:
President’s Release Time. Before the beginning of the school year, the Superintendent, the Association President and the Principal of the school in which the President teaches will meet to seek joint agreement on release time for the President of the Association. The goal shall be to provide no more than three (3) periods of teaching responsibilities for Middle School or High School or equivalent for Elementary school teachers. Continuity of the educational program is the goal.
President’s Release Time. Each OAPSE President/designee will receive release time of an hour per week of scheduled work time for each 1-60 persons represented to conduct OAPSE business. The scheduled working time shall be taken in consultation with the Building/Department Administrator and the OAPSE President. If release time cannot be scheduled, an equivalent compensation will be paid. The release time will be separate and in addition to contracted time for OAPSE negotiations, release time for grievance matters, and OAPSE Delegate Conference. The appropriate OAPSE Chapter President/designee will be given released time to attend the funeral service of a member.
President’s Release Time. The Association President or designee shall be released for up to six (6) hours per week for the purpose of conducting Association or District business. Upon approval by the District and the Association, special accommodations may be made in instances where release time may have an impact on the President or designee’s work assignment. There shall be no reduction in pay or benefits as a result of such release time. The Association President will give 24 hours’ notice for such leave whenever possible. In a situation where Association business is conducted and a substitute is secured, the Association will reimburse the District an amount equal to actual time spent on Association business times the base rate of pay.
President’s Release Time. The Board shall grant release time to the President of the Association in accordance with the provisions below:
5.4.2.1 During tenure of office the Association President shall be granted full release time to perform Association-related duties.
5.4.2.2 Upon expiration of the term(s) of office, the President will, if possible, be returned to his/her previous position, or otherwise be afforded first choice of any available teaching positions for which he/she is qualified.
