PURCHASED LEAVE SCHEME. 6.4.1 Within a 12-month period, a staff member may apply, and the University may agree, for the staff member to purchase up to 40 days paid annual leave in addition to the normal 20 days with a commensurate reduction in the total salary rate for the 12 month period. Approval will be subject to reasonable operational requirements and may be subject to conditions of the timing for the taking of the leave being prescribed or agreed upon in advance.
PURCHASED LEAVE SCHEME. 19.2.1 The employer and the employee may enter into an arrangement where the employee can purchase up to 8 weeks additional leave.
19.2.2 Where an employee enters into an agreement to purchase leave their salary will be reduced and spread over the 52 weeks of the year and receive the following amounts of additional purchased leave:
19.2.3 Participation in the Purchased Leave Scheme is for a period of 12 months and is to be re-negotiated annually (preferably at the beginning of the calendar year).
19.2.4 Purchased leave counts as service for all purposes.
19.2.5 All annual and purchased leave must be taken at mutually agreed times during the 12 month period, with the timing subject to approval. All leave bookings are to be booked and approved through the University Employee Self Service system. Where an employee has been unable to take purchased leave, the employee’s salary/wage shall be adjusted at the expiry of the 12 month period in which the leave was to be taken.
19.2.6 The employer will assess each application for purchased leave on its merits and give consideration to the personal circumstances of the employee seeking the arrangement as well as to operational requirements.
PURCHASED LEAVE SCHEME. 93.1 Employees may acquire an additional one, two, three or four weeks' paid leave each year (based on 36 hours and 45 minutes per week for full time employees) in return for a pro rata reduction in their annual salary (excluding allowances), before any adjustment for a salary packaging arrangement.
93.2 Directors may approve an employee's request to purchase more than 4 weeks paid leave each year (up to a total of eight whole weeks). The approval of the additional leave will be subject to an agreement on when this additional leave can be taken.
93.3 Purchased Leave will count as service for all purposes.
93.4 Approval of applications to utilise Purchased Leave will be subject to operational requirements.
93.5 Once a period of Purchased Leave has been approved, it will not be rescinded by the ATO unless exceptional circumstances arise.
93.6 The minimum period of Purchased Leave that can be taken will be one day.
93.7 Purchased Leave must be taken within two years of its accrual. If leave is not taken in that time, the balance of such leave credits will be paid out at the salary rate that was applicable to the employee on the last day of the actual year of accrual.
93.8 An employee who ceases employment with the ATO for any reason will receive payment in lieu of any unused Purchased Leave credits.
PURCHASED LEAVE SCHEME. An employee and the City may agree in writing on the following self-funded leave arrangements in accordance with endorsed policies/guidelines as amended from time to time: • 50/52 weeks • 48/52 weeks • 4/5 years
21.1 Superannuation shall be paid in accordance with the Superannuation Guarantee (Administration) Act 1992.
PURCHASED LEAVE SCHEME. 12.1 The Purchased Leave Scheme enables Employees to access up to two weeks additional leave per year with salary payments averaged over the whole year to ensure that a standard rate is received each fortnight.
PURCHASED LEAVE SCHEME. The Purchased Leave Scheme is intended to provide flexibility in employment for employees with family responsibilities and for employees who wish to extend their leave options for personal reasons. Under this scheme, you can purchase between 1 to 4 weeks additional leave. Within a 6-month period a staff member is entitled to purchase a maximum of two weeks additional leave and within a 12-month period, up to a maximum of four weeks may be purchased in addition to an annual leave entitlement.
22.8.1 How does it work Purchased leave will be planned in advance and funded by salary deductions spread evenly over the total period of the agreement in this case being either 6 or 12 months. Employees purchase the additional leave in return for a regular lower amount of salary (while the rate of salary remains the same) over the specified period. Salary for super contributions remains the same. The specified period will commence 4 weeks after the date of certification to allow adequate time for the process to be implemented.
PURCHASED LEAVE SCHEME. 12.1 The Purchased Leave Scheme enables Employees to access up to two weeks additional leave per year with salary payments averaged over the whole year to ensure that a standard rate is received each fortnight.
12.2 Employees wishing to access this scheme may do so at any time. Arrangements will remain in force for one year unless exceptional circumstances occur. The CEO will consider any proposal to vary any election on a case-by-case basis.
12.3 Purchased leave will not affect entitlements to other forms of leave and will count as service for all purposes.
12.4 Purchased leave is generally intended to enable Employees to access such leave in weekly blocks - this will assist in workforce planning.
12.5 Salary will be the actual salary paid to the Employee (inclusive of payments for temporary assignment and/or allowances) which the Employee is receiving at the time the leave is purchased, regardless of the salary being received by the Employee when the purchased leave is taken.
12.6 Purchased leave may be utilised before or after annual leave.
PURCHASED LEAVE SCHEME. 56.1 An employee may purchase up to eight weeks of paid leave each year (in one week blocks) through a pro-rata reduction in their annual salary.
56.2 Delegate approval is required to purchase more than four weeks leave each year.
56.3 Any unused leave credits not taken within two years will be paid in lieu at the salary rate that was applicable to the employee on the last day of the accrual.
56.4 Purchased Leave will not reduce salary for superannuation purposes or any other purpose covered by this Agreement.
56.5 Upon cessation of employment with the ATO, an employee will be paid in lieu of any unused Purchased Leave credits.
56.6 Once a period of Purchased Leave has been approved, it will not be rescinded by the ATO unless exceptional circumstances arise.
PURCHASED LEAVE SCHEME. 35.1 An employee may, with the approval of the Commission, purchase from one to six additional weeks of leave from the Commission.
(i) The leave shall be purchased for the amount the employee would have received for the period of leave purchased, if he or she had taken ordinary annual leave for that period, as estimated at the time of applying for participation in the purchased leave scheme.
(ii) The purchase price of the leave shall be deducted from the fortnightly pay of the purchasing employee in equal instalments over the stipulated period prior to the leave being taken:
PURCHASED LEAVE SCHEME. 26.2.1 Subject to operational requirements employees may apply to the Purchased Leave Scheme, to purchase additional leave of up to 8 weeks per year, in accordance with University policies, procedures and administrative arrangements.
26.2.2 At the time of applying to the Purchased Leave Scheme an employee must not have an excess annual leave balance and/or a long service leave balance, and within their application demonstrate how leave will be cleared during the Purchase Leave Period.
26.2.3 Leave purchased under the Scheme will be applied for and taken in blocks of 1 week minimum, in return for a pro-rata reduction in annual salary that is averaged over a 12 month purchase period.
26.2.4 The minimum salary payable to the employee under this Agreement is also adjusted on a pro rata basis for the Purchase Leave Period. Purchased leave must be paid for in full within the same year in which it is approved.
26.2.5 Leave purchased under the Scheme must be used by the expiry of the Purchase Leave Period and will lapse at that time. Any outstanding monies will be reconciled and the employee’s salary will be adjusted accordingly.
26.2.6 Leave purchased will count as service for all purposes. Personal leave or any other paid leave will be paid at the reduced rate.
26.2.7 During the Purchased Leave Period an employee’s superannuation contributions will reduce to the level based on their actual salary for that year. If the employee wishes to maintain superannuation contributions at a notional full-time rate, they will be responsible for making the necessary arrangements and for maintaining both the notional full-time rate for the employee’s and the employer’s contribution.
26.2.8 If the employee’s employment terminates before the Purchase Leave Period expires, or the arrangement is terminated, the employee will be entitled to pay in lieu of the purchased leave not taken. Any purchased leave taken by the employee and not paid for will be recovered by the University.
26.2.9 Employees automatically revert to their normal salary at the end of the Purchase Leave Period, unless approval is obtained for a subsequent Purchased Leave Scheme arrangement.
