Required Qualifications and Experience.  At least a Master’s degree in Law, Social Sciences or similar fields.  At least three (3) years of experience working for a UN organization in research and project management;  Previous experience in: • project support, but especially in the initiation and organizing of project networking. This includes contacting and involving the relevant actors in industries, SMEs, NGOs, academia & research, governmental and international organizations; • creation of opportunities and mechanisms for coordination between stakeholders with the aim to enable better information exchange and greater knowledge transfer; • identification and involvement of committed stakeholders to support the projects; • assessment of the needs, financial and technical possibilities and limitations of each actor in the value chain to better understand the barriers and potentials for progress towards a circular economy; • developing recommendations for policy makers based on solid research results, in view of changing framework conditions in the field of circular economy models • strengthening linkages, leveraging synergies and initiating joint activities and innovations; • the collection and analysis of quantitative and qualitative data; • scientific support to e-waste related implementation and training projects; • the development and acquisition of projects;  Ability to work independently, but contributing to a good team environment;  Interpersonal and communication skills to interact effectively with people of different national and cultural backgrounds.  Fluency in in both oral and written English;  Willingness to frequently travel internationally;  General computer proficiency (Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) and Content Management Systems (e.g. WordPress etc.) desired; Applications from suitably qualified women candidates are particularly encouraged.

Required Qualifications and Experience. The consultant shall have a Bachelor degree or higher in IT or computer sciences; • Working experience over 5years in hospitals and/or in health sector; • Experience and knowledge to conduct study/survey and analysis; • Extensive word processing skills including policy related papers; • Knowledge of English at a working level; • Experience working in WB funded or any other international projects would be considered as an advantage

Required Qualifications and Experience. The contract Lifting & Handling Engineer shall have: • A university degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline, or combination of qualifications and experience acceptable by ITER; • Recent relevant experience (ideally a minimum of 15 years) covering heavy lifting in large and complex Construction Projects: supervising and managing site lifting operations, maintenance, inspection & load testing activities for Lifting Equipment including Pedestal Cranes, Gantry Cranes, Runway beams, Mobile Cranes, Crawler Cranes, Fork Lifts, Winches, Electric Hoists, Pull Lifts, Chain Blocks, Wire Rope Slings, Webbing Slings, Chain Slings, Shackles, Eye Bolts, Winches, Containers / Baskets etc.; • Broad based knowledge and conversant with international standards relevant to lifting equipment and Operations e.g. API, ASME, BS, ISO, DIN, DNV, LR, LOLER and the like; • Knowledge of the Health and Safety at work guidelines relating to heavy lifts & Statutory Acts, Legislations and Contracts Management of Lifting Equipment; • Hold current LEEA Diploma qualification or equivalent for Specialist Lifting Services; • Fluent in the English language, written and spoken; • Demonstrated ability to develop innovative solutions to complex lifting/handling problems; • Excellent organizational, problem solving, contractors and TPIs handling and communication skills; • Knowledge of Quality Assurance systems and their practical application;

Required Qualifications and Experience. Bachelor’s degree in Political Science, Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, Public Administration or equivalent field of study with at least three (3) years of work experience in office administration, preferably in an international environment; • Knowledge and experience of coordination and organization of conferences, including logistical and financial arrangements. Knowledge of the UN governance structure is an asset; • Knowledge and experience of administrative and financial management of projects funded on the consignment contract basis by competitive research funds including the Environmental Research and Technology Development Fund is desirable; • Excellent communication skills with fluency in both oral and written English and Japanese. Knowledge of other UN official languages is an asset; • Proficiency in MS Office Applications (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook). Experience in using ERP systems like PeopleSoft system is advantageous; • Ability to establish priorities, work within tight deadlines, and handle multiple concurrent activities; and • Good team player with strong interpersonal skills demonstrated by the ability to work in a multicultural, multi-ethnic environment with sensitivity and respect for diversity.

Required Qualifications and Experience a minimum of a master’s degree in economics, statistics, or equivalent social science, with a minimum of three (3) years of relevant work experience • demonstrated ability to independently carry out, create, update and manage databases • required knowledge of computer programme languages, especially Stata; knowledge of other computer programming languages — in particular R is an advantage • excellent drafting skills and fluency in both oral and written English • excellent team player with strong, well-developed interpersonal skills and ability to work in a multi- cultural, multi-ethnic environment with sensitivity and respect for diversity. Monthly remuneration of ZAR50,200 subject to submission of reports to the Director on the tasks accomplished at the end of each quarter during the contract period at 15 March, 15 June, 15 September and 15 December. The successful candidate will be employed in Pretoria, South Africa and will not hold international civil servant status nor be a ‘staff member’ as defined in the United Nations Staff Rules and Regulations. No relocation allowance applies. UNU has its own medical insurance for employees contracted under a Personnel Service Agreement (PSA).

Remuneration: Remuneration will commensurate with qualifications and experience. Duration of Contract: This is a full time employment on a two (2) year Personnel Service Agreement (PSA) contract with UNU- ▇▇▇▇▇▇, with the possibility for contract renewal subject to satisfactory work performance. The successful candidate will be employed under a local contract and will not hold international civil servant status nor be a “staff member” as defined in the UN Staff Rules and Regulations.
