SPECIAL PAY PROVISIONS. 1. SPECIAL PAY PROVISIONS. In the following special conditions, an employee assigned to a plan shall be paid Wage Rate X for attendance hours that are not included as plan input hours.
SPECIAL PAY PROVISIONS. 1 Instruction Line Instructor and Trainees Operators assigned to the training department with runs less than 10 hours shall receive a base pay of 10 hours plus 10% to assist with any training, preparation for training, or line instruction. Operators assigned to the training department, whose run pays more than 10 hours, to assist with any training, preparation for training, or line instruction shall be paid their run pay plus 10%. Extra Board Operators assigned to the training department to assist with any training, preparation for training, or line instruction shall be paid a minimum of 10 hours plus 10%. Dispatchers, Transit Radio Dispatchers, assigned a student or trainee for instruction shall be paid 10% per hour per day.
SPECIAL PAY PROVISIONSNo employee shall be scheduled to work more than seven (7) days consecutively. An employee scheduled more than seven (7) days consecutively shall be compensated at time and one-half (1-1/2) rates for all days scheduled in excess of seven (7) unless such days are worked at the employee's request. An employee accepting a call-in shift will be compensated at straight time rates unless such shift worked involves overtime or working an unscheduled weekend. There shall be at least ten (10) hour period between scheduled shifts. If the Employer schedules an employee without the minimum of ten (10) between shifts, the employee shall be compensated at time and one-half (1-1/2) rates for such quick-change worked. Effective the first full pay period following March 1, 2019, the premium shall be paid whether it results from the posted schedule or assignment or from agreement between the Employer and the Employee. To qualify for the premium, both the shift immediately before and the shift qualifying for the premium shall be shift on which the employee is performing their regular duties per the job description. This premium pay shall not be pyramided onto any other premium pay or overtime pay that might be owed for the subsequent shift. An employee accepting a call-in shift will be compensated at straight time rates unless such shift worked involves overtime or working an unscheduled weekend.
SPECIAL PAY PROVISIONS. ‌ (a) Pay for Performance‌ i. Annual performance evaluations for County’s performance management program shall be completed no later than October 1 of each fiscal year. ii. Employees may be eligible to receive an annual performance pay increase effective on the first day of the pay period following each October 1, based upon their evaluation results, if funds are available. iii. Such increases will be based on funding established by the County Commission each fiscal year and range between 1% and 5% for meeting or exceeding expectations and may be awarded as either an increase to the employee’s base pay and/or as a lump-sum award for those employees nearing or at the maximum of their pay range. Employees whose length of service (by virtue of their employment dates) falls outside of the established performance management program annual timelines may receive performance pay increases adjusted pro rata to bring the evaluation date in line with the established timelines, if funds are available.
SPECIAL PAY PROVISIONS. A. Those employees classified as City Maintenance Worker and assigned to work on the Tree Crew shall receive premium pay at the rate of $45 per pay period while so assigned. B. Those employees assigned to operate the large "gang mower" shall receive premium pay at the rate of $45 per pay period while so assigned. C. Those employees assigned to perform the duties of, and who is certified as a “Pest Control Advisor”, shall receive premium pay at the rate of $45 per pay period while so assigned. Effective July 1, 2012, those employees who have obtained a “Qualified Applicator License” or “Qualified Applicator Certificate” shall receive premium pay at the rate of $25 per pay period. D. Those employees assigned to operate equipment that requires a Class “B” Drivers License and where operation of such equipment is not required by the employee’s classification shall receive premium pay at the rate of $45 per pay period while so assigned. E. Those employees assigned to perform the duties of, and who is certified as a “Backflow Prevention Device Tester”, “LA County Certified Tester” shall receive premium pay at the rate of $45 per pay period while so assigned. Effective July 1, 2012, those employees recognized as an “LA County Certified Tester” and “American Backflow Prevention Association of Certified Technicians (ABPA)” shall receive additional premium pay at the rate of $25 per pay period for each certification. F. Those employees who are required to maintain a “Hazmat” and/or “ASE Certification” shall receive premium pay at the rate of $20 per pay period. X. A regular full-time employee who is responsible for bilingual interpretation, and whose use of this language is of significant benefit to the operations of the Department as determined by his/her Department Head, shall receive bonus pay according to the following: 1. To be eligible for this assignment bonus, an employee must have successfully passed a language proficiency test which has been arranged for or approved by the Director of Human Resources, or designee. The test need not be written, but may test verbal skills in communication with non- English speaking persons. 2. The City shall pay each designated employee a bonus of $50 per pay period. H. The City shall either pay for or reimburse employees for any licensing fee or certification testing fee that a bargaining unit employee is required to incur with respect to obtaining any license/certification that they must have as a condition of employment.
SPECIAL PAY PROVISIONS. 1. If any employee is assigned in his/her school or to another school to perform the duties of a higher paid position, because of the extended (in excess of ten (10) working days) absence, leave, or retirement of another employee, he/she shall be entitled to receive the salary of the position to which he/she is assigned. Upon return or replacement of the absentee or retiree, the assigned employee shall be returned to his/her regular salary schedule. 2. Whenever a custodial employee is absent, either a floater or a per diem substitute shall be obtained or an employee shall be entitled to three (3) hours overtime to complete the duties of the absentee. This time shall be compensated at the employee’s regular rate unless the employee qualifies for overtime under paragraph C.9 above.
SPECIAL PAY PROVISIONS. In the following special conditions, an employee assigned to a CIPP plan shall be paid his Wage Rate X 115% for attendance hours that are not included as plan input hours. (A) Training (other than employee break-in) (B) Assignment to Non-CIPP work while his regular CIPP plan is in operation and the employee would otherwise be scheduled to work. The employee shall be paid their Average Straight-time Hourly Earnings as computed according to Article XV, Section 11
