Summer Training. Any teacher who attends a summer program at the District's direction shall be paid twenty dollars ($20.00) per hour for up to eight (8) hours per day. All trainings attended pursuant to this section must be pre-approved by the Superintendent. This summer training stipend is not intended to cover conferences or District workshops. It is intended only for directed training that is required for a teacher's position and assignment (i.e. Project Lead the Way, College Credit Plus, Southern Regional Education Board).

Summer Training a. In the summer the Board will make available to all employees covered by this Agreement having a high school or high school equivalency diploma, a six-week college summer career training program. For those employees not having a high school or high school equivalency diploma, the Board will make available a six-week high school equivalency summer service/career training program. b. The Board will pay a stipend of $40.00 per week to each employee who regularly works 27-1/2 hours per week during the spring semester or who is recalled from layoff to such an assignment during the spring semester for satisfactory attendance in the summer in-service/career training program shall not receive the stipend. c. Employees who work for the Board of Education while in attendance in the summer in-service/career training program shall not receive the stipend. d. Effective with the summer of 1977, a paraprofessional who enrolls in the high school equivalency summer in-service/career training program for two xxxxxxx and does not pass the examination shall not be eligible for the stipend in the succeeding xxxxxxx for the high school equivalency summer in-service/career training program. e. The stipend for satisfactory attendance in the college inservice/summer career training program shall be paid to employees who enroll for six credits during the summer.

(4) Summer Community Assistants will be compensated by continuing the 15% room discount and receiving 50% of the cost of a room.
Summer Training. Required training falls under an administrative expectation for a particular teaching assignment that may occur over the summer. Teachers will be notified of any scheduled summer training by the first day of the third trimester of the school year preceding the summer training. Teachers will have at least five (5) working days to respond to the notification. Teachers who participate in required summer training shall be paid at their individual per diem salary rate, based upon their placement on the salary schedule during that contractual year. Teachers who are not available during the summer, or who are impacted by the salary cap, will have a secondary opportunity for training, which shall be provided during the regular school year. Teachers will be notified at least one week in advance of the required training to allow them to prepare for their absence from the classroom. The District will provide substitutes for teachers who must be absent from the classroom due to the required training. No compensation will be provided for training as described in this paragraph, which takes place during the regular school year.

Summer Training. Reservists and National Guard members being called for the customary two (2) week tour of duty shall be excused on presentation of their orders and shall receive eight (8) hours pay at the regular rate of pay each working day served. Time absent from employment may be counted as vacation time if the employee so desires.

The educational development of leadership skills is central to the existence and strength of the Residence Life and Education program. For that reason, in addition to ongoing training throughout the academic year, there will be a training program held in August immediately before the commencement of the fall term. This training program will consist of mandatory and optional workshops and events. Training days will not exceed 8.0 hours of mandatory time. The training schedule for CLs will not exceed 62 hours and will be held within the two weeks immediately prior to resident's move-in day for the fall term. CLs must have one day of rest within that two week block and one day immediately prior to resident’s move- in day. The training schedule for RECLs will not exceed 70 hours and will start within two days prior to the CL training, with days of rest in accordance with the CL training schedule above. The training schedule for SCLs will not exceed 85 hours and will start within the five days prior to the CL schedule. One day of rest for the SCLs will be the CL's move-in day, a second day of rest will be during the subsequent training schedule, followed by a third day of rest immediately prior to resident's move-in day. The training schedule for PRCAs shall not exceed 20 hours with one day off immediately prior to resident’s move- in day. Any changes to the August training schedule that increase the number of days of training, the number of hours per day, or decrease the number of rest days will be mutually agreed by both parties.   • First Aid Training In the interests of the occupational safety and health of employees, the Employer will undertake an in-service program of first aid training aimed at providing a first aid officer for each department.

  • Orientation and Training A transferring employee will be orientated separately to both or their new home in accordance with Article 20 the collective agreement of the designated employer.

  • Technical Training The CAISO and the Participating TOs shall respond to reasonable requests for support and provide relevant technical training to each other’s employees to support the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of the CAISO Controlled Grid and to comply with any NERC or WECC operator certification or training requirements. Examples of such technical training include, but are not limited to: (1) the theory or operation of new or modified equipment (e.g., control systems, Remedial Action Schemes, protective relays); (2) computer and applicator programs; and (3) CAISO (or Participating TO) requirements.   • Training a. The employer, in consultation with the local, shall be responsible for developing and implementing an ongoing harassment and sexual harassment awareness program for all employees. Where a program currently exists and meets the criteria listed in this agreement, such a program shall be deemed to satisfy the provisions of this article. This awareness program shall initially be for all employees and shall be scheduled at least once annually for all new employees to attend. b. The awareness program shall include but not be limited to: i. the definitions of harassment and sexual harassment as outlined in this Agreement; ii. understanding situations that are not harassment or sexual harassment, including the exercise of an employer's managerial and/or supervisory rights and responsibilities; iii. developing an awareness of behaviour that is illegal and/or inappropriate; iv. outlining strategies to prevent harassment and sexual harassment; v. a review of the resolution of harassment and sexual harassment as outlined in this Agreement; vi. understanding malicious complaints and the consequences of such; vii. outlining any Board policy for dealing with harassment and sexual harassment; viii. outlining laws dealing with harassment and sexual harassment which apply to employees in B.C.

  • Staff Training 3.3.5.1 The CONTRACTOR shall provide regular and ongoing comprehensive training for CONTRACTOR staff to ensure that they understand the goals of Centennial Care 2.0, including the integration of physical, Long-Term Care and Behavioral Health, the provisions and limitations of the ABP and the requirements of this Agreement. As issues are identified by the CONTRACTOR and/or HSD, the CONTRACTOR shall provide timely and targeted training to staff. 3.3.5.2 The CONTRACTOR shall provide an initial orientation and training as well as ongoing training, including training targeted to different types of staff, to ensure compliance with this Agreement. Including targeted training regarding: 3.3.5.2.1 Care Coordination; 3.3.5.2.2 Nursing Facility Level of Care Determinations; 3.3.5.2.3 Setting of Care Submissions; 3.3.5.2.4 Community Benefit Services and Supplemental Questionnaire; and

  • Job Training ‌ The Employer and the Union shall establish a Joint Committee on Training and Skill Upgrading for the following purposes: (1) for planning training programs for those employees affected by technological change; (2) for planning training programs to enable employees to qualify for new positions being planned through future expansion or renovation; (3) for planning training programs for those employees affected by new methods of operation; (4) for planning training programs in the area of general skill upgrading. Whenever necessary, this Committee shall seek the assistance of external training resources such as the Federal Human Resources Development Canada and Provincial Ministry of Labour, or other recognized training institutions.

  • Education and Training The foundation of this Program is education and voluntary compliance. It is recognized that alcohol and chemical dependency may make voluntary cessation of use difficult, and one of the Program’s principal aims is to make voluntary steps toward ending substance abuse easily available. The outside contractor shall review and develop on-going educational and training information on the adverse consequences of substance abuse and the responsibility to avoid being under the influence of alcohol or chemicals at work. Certain training required by the DOT Regulations shall be the responsibility of the Substance Abuse Program.

  • Maintenance Training 16.8.1 The Seller will provide maintenance training for the Buyer’s ground personnel as further set forth in Appendix A to this Clause 16. The available courses will be as listed in the Seller’s Customer Services Catalog current at the time of the course. The practical training provided in the frame of maintenance training will be performed on the training devices in use in the Seller’s Training Centers.
