Temporary Part-Time Employees. Pay and applicable benefits will be computed on an hourly basis, and pay will normally be prorated on a pay period, pay status basis.
Temporary Part-Time Employees. 7.5 (a) Temporary part-time employees who work a minimum of 21 hours but less than 35 hours, and who are engaged for six (6) months or longer shall be subject to all of the provisions of the collective agreement except as noted below:
Temporary Part-Time Employees. A temporary part-time employee shall be one who works regularly less than 80 per cent of the work week for the purposes and durations listed for temporary employment. Temporary part-time employees shall not be covered by the provisions of Articles 7.4 (Night Differential), 8.5 (overtime) except that the overtime rate shall apply to hours worked in excess of 37 1/2 hours on day shift and 35 hours on night shift in any one week, 9.4 (rates and minimums for work on statutory holidays),
11.1 (sick leave and benefit programs), 13 (Severance Pay), 16.1 (Leaves of Absence) and 17 (Military Service) of this Agreement except that temporary part-time employees whose term of employment exceeds six (6) months shall receive all benefits in accordance with the terms and conditions specified in Article 1.
4.1 except Long Term Disability (basic or additional employee paid).
Temporary Part-Time Employees. (TPT)
a) Casual absences; which include ELOA and/or sick days;
b) Leaves of Absences;
c) Vacations;
d) S/A and for absences due to WSIB claims;
e) Cover overtime needs after all seniority and probationary employees entitled to work have been asked for all overtime available;
f) Training and Schooling Additionally the Company will be permitted to utilize additional personnel as Temporary Part Time (TPT) employees related to new tooling assembly/moulds/programs/awarded to Ventra Plastics Windsor. Such additional employees shall be classified as Temporary Part Time (TPT) and will be subject to the following conditions of employment:
1) TPT employees shall be limited to the provisions of the Collective Agreement as probationary employees and except as provided herein.
2) TPT employees will not acquire seniority pursuant to the terms of this agreement and shall be considered to have less seniority than that of a probationary employee.
3) TPT employees shall be required to pay Union Dues and Initiation fees according to the Union Constitution.
4) The use of TPT employees shall be limited to the Operator and Assembly classifications.
5) TPT employees shall receive the hourly rate of $15.40 / hour in their first year. After their first year, they will be paid $16.50 / hour, provided the TPT has worked a minimum of 720 hours in the first year. If the 720hr threshold has not been accomplished in the first year, they will continue to accumulate until the threshold is met and then they will progress to the higher rate of pay as stated.
6) TPT employees will not work overtime until all seniority and probationary employees have been asked to work in accordance with Article 25.
7) TPT employees shall only be paid for the periods that they work except for any holiday pay they may qualify for under the ESA or Collective Agreement.
8) A TPT employee shall not work more than 1080 hours per calendar year.
9) The Company agrees that TPT employees will not be used to circumvent regular manpower.
10) In the event a TPT employee is hired as a permanent full time employee, provided they have completed a total of 720 hours in a 12 month period, they will not be required to put in a new probationary period and their seniority date will be the date they are hired as full time.
11) The Company agrees to supply the Union a daily list of TPT employees with all hours worked.

Temporary Part-Time Employees. 27:01 Such additional employees shall be classified as Temporary Part-Time (TPT) and will not be permitted to gain seniority status.
27:02 TPT employees shall be required to pay Union Dues and initiation fees each month according to the Union Constitution.
27:03 TPT employees shall only be paid for the peri- ods for which they work.
27:04 TPT employees shall be the first employees to be sent home if a work shortage occurs.
27:05 TPT employees shall be subject to the same conditions of employment as probationary em- ployees, save and except the seniority provi- sions, grievance procedures, social security and wage provisions of this Agreement. TPT’s will receive payment for overtime in accordance with the Employment Standards Act.
27:06 TPT employees shall receive an hourly rate of Sixteen dollars, ($18.00).
27:07 TPT employees shall not be eligible to submit a grievance under the terms of this Agreement.
27:08 If a TPT employee works more than Six Hun- dred (600) hours per calendar year, they shall become a probationary employee.
27:09 TPT employees may only work to a maximum of twenty-four (24) hours per week with the ex- ception of periods worked as vacation replace- ment, or replacing employees on medical ab- sence, WCB, maternity/paternity leave, or com- pany approved leave of absence, PPH and birthday holiday.
27:10 TPT employees will only be used to replace regular full-time employees who are unavailable within their classification, department and shift.
27:11 At no time will TPT employees make up more than ten (10%) percent of the workforce per shift or the number of employees on vacation or ab- sent for any other reason, whichever is greater.
27:12 Any overtime hours not volunteered for by the regular employees can be worked by TPT em- ployees and shall not be counted as part of the TPT employees’ 24 hours per week limitation, as set out in Article 27:09.
Temporary Part-Time Employees a) Temporary part-time employees are casual employees who have posted into a temporary part-time position.
b) Temporary part-time employees will be governed by collective agreement language that governs part-time employees with the following exceptions:
(i) The Employer can end the contract of a temporary part-time employee in the same manner as set out in Article L6.2; and
(ii) Temporary part-time employees will be paid in accordance with the temporary part-time employee or temporary part time employee specialist wage grids as set out in Schedule “A”.
(i) The Parties agree that in year one of this agreement, the maximum amout of casual guards who can convert into temporary part- time employees are 10 casual guards and 5 specialists;
(ii) in year two of this agreement, the maximum amout of casual guards who can convert into temporary part-time employees are 20 casual guards and 10 specialists, inclusive of the casual employees who covered in year 1 as described in 18.10(c)(i);
(iii) in year three of this agreement, the maximum amout of casual guards who can convert into temporary part-time employees are 30 casual guards and 15 specialists, inclusive of the casual employees who covered in years 1 and 2 as described in 18.10(c) (i) and (ii).
Temporary Part-Time Employees. The Company agrees that the TPT employees hired under the TPT language will be Gates Windsor Operations employees and subject to the terms of the TPT provisions. The Company may hire additional personnel to fill in for assemblers who are absent due to the following reasons:
a) All absences, absences due to Sickness and Accident, Workers’ Compensation.
b) Paid personal holidays.
c) Leaves of absence.
