Training Compensation. An employee selected for a training assignment will retain his or her current title and basic weekly wage rate for the duration of the training assignment. WORK ASSIGNMENT SELECTION
Training Compensation. When the Company provides vocational training for Employees or sends Employees to training events relevant for his or her profession, the direct costs of this training shall be compensated, and the Employees’ monthly salary shall not be reduced. If the training takes place in a different locality, the daily allowance and other compensations for expenses shall be paid in accordance with the travel policy.
Training Compensation. Tuition, fees, costs, mileage and employee time associated with Employer mandated training shall be paid for by the Employer, unless employee has unexcused absences for which State reimbursement is denied in which case making up the training will be at the Employee’s cost. If the state changes the method by which training costs are reimbursed or if training requirements are changed, the Employer and the Union agree to open the Collective Bargaining Agreement to bargain over this issue only.
Training Compensation. The following provisions will establish the compensation for training for all twenty-four (24) hour shift employees: (Training related to development programs is not covered by these provisions.)
a. Training assigned by the Department that an employee is obligated to attend, unless his/her absence has been approved by the Department, is considered mandatory training. For mandatory training, any overtime earned will be given contract overtime.
b. Training authorized by the Department which an employee has the option to attend is considered voluntary training. For voluntary training, any overtime earned will be given FLSA credit only. Employees will be informed in writing, with a copy to the Union, if training is voluntary, at least one (1) week prior to attending the training, unless there is a valid business reason for not being able to do so. If the Department fails to notify employees as specified, the overtime will be compensated as mandatory training. Time spent in travel to or from training is not considered time off in terms of this provision.
Training Compensation. For each four (4) hour shift that a bargaining unit member is assigned to train a new employee, the bargaining unit member shall receive one-half (1/2) hour of compensatory time. However, this compensatory time will not be granted if the member serves less than four (4) hours in the training capacity or if the member works less than a full shift as a result of their own leave or absence from duty.
Training Compensation. Applicants who are hired after successfully completing training and who participate in a KWRL authorized CDL bus driver training program shall be compensated for the number of hours of training at the state minimum wage rate. This compensation is contingent on receiving a CDL license and consistently driving for KWRL for thirty (30) school days. After the employee has consistently driven for KWRL for six (6) school calendar months (exclusive of summer), the employee shall be paid the difference between the state minimum wage rate and the employee’s regular hourly rate for the hours of CDL training. Drivers and substitutes shall be paid at the standby rate through August 31, 2020 and paid at their regular rate of pay starting September 1, 2020 and forward to participate in additional training authorized by KWRL, which may include riding routes.
Training Compensation. 40 The employee's regular hourly rate will be paid for attendance at District-approved training courses 41 and mandatory training sessions required as a condition of continued employment. If total weekly 42 (Monday through Sunday) hours exceed forty (40), time and one-half (1½) will be paid, based on the 43 hourly wage rate. Training courses that are conducted during regular working hours will be paid at the 44 employee's regular hourly rate for that portion equal to the regular hours worked.
Training Compensation. The Board agrees that each member attending any Police Training Course shall receive the sum of fifty dollars ($50.00) per week or portion thereof, in compensation for the expenses involved in attending such courses, and full payment shall be made prior to departure. Such compensation shall not include any entrance or course equipment fees involved and would be over and above initial traveling expense paid by the Province or any other source. The sum aforesaid shall be recoverable by the Board should a member not complete the prescribed course.
Training Compensation. For each four (4) hour shift that a Communication Technician is assigned to train a new Communication Technician , the Communication Technician shall receive one-half (1/2) hour of compensatory time. However, this compensatory time will not be granted if the member serves less than four (4) hours in the training capacity or if the member works less than a full shift as a result of their own leave or absence from duty.
Training Compensation. For each four (4) hour shift that a Correction Classification Specialist is assigned to train a new Correction Classification Specialist, the Correction Classification Specialist shall receive one-half (1/2) hour of compensatory time. However, this compensatory time will not be granted if the Correction Classification Specialist serves less than four (4) hours in the training capacity or if the Correction Classification Specialist works less than a full shift as a result of their own leave or absence from duty.
