UNIFORMS AND PERSONAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT. For Members who have been informed by the University that they are required to wear them, the University agrees to supply the following:
(i) five (5) articles of clothing (shirts, shorts, pants) and one (1) article of outer wear per year to each Member in Distribution Services; and
(ii) an allowance of $200 every year for safety shoes/boots upon submission of appropriate receipts; and
(iii) reimbursement for 100% of the cost of one pair of prescription safety glasses (lenses and frames) to a maximum of $250 every 24 consecutive months is in addition to vision benefits under the Extended Health Care Plan. All University-provided clothing and footwear must be worn and be used in the performance of work-related duties.
UNIFORMS AND PERSONAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT. 19.1 The Company will provide Employees with appropriate uniforms, protective clothing and personal protective equipment (PPE) for the work the Employees are performing.
19.2 The Employees will wear the uniforms and protective clothing provided to them.
19.3 The Employees will utilise any PPE provided to them by the Company. However, if a Employee has an objection to doing so, the objection will be dealt with in accordance with the dispute resolution procedure in clause 22.
19.4 Employees will not alter, modify or change the appearance of uniforms, protective clothing and PPE provided to them by the Company in any manner contrary to operating instructions or training or in a manner which is likely to affect the performance of that clothing or PPE. Employees will not alter, modify or change the appearance of uniforms provided to them by the Company in a manner or to an extent which would hinder or deface Company identification.
19.5 Employees will keep all uniforms, protective clothing and PPE in a clean, neat and tidy condition.
19.6 Uniforms and protective clothing will be replaced by the Company on a fair wear and tear basis. In such circumstances, new clothing will be exchanged for the worn items.
UNIFORMS AND PERSONAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT. All career Fire District personnel will be furnished uniforms and personal protective equipment (PPE) as identified in the Clearcreek Fire District General Operating Guidelines. Uniforms and equipment will be replaced on an as needed basis. Uniforms and personal protective equipment (PPE) will consist of the following and be worn in accordance with standards identified in the Clearcreek Fire District General Operating Guidelines. UNIFORMS AND PERSONAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT. Employees will be provided uniforms and personal protective clothing and equipment required to protect the health, safety and well being of employees and as described in the Council’s Dress Code and Uniform Policy and in accordance with Council’s Policies and Procedures.
UNIFORMS AND PERSONAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT. The full time firefighters within the Fire Department shall receive, each year, a clothing allowance of six hundred dollars ($600.00) to purchase their daily uniforms. This allowance will be provided “on account” at a designated vendor who shall provide all Town approved uniforms. The Town will continue to supply all necessary safety gear for these employees. Other items deemed necessary to perform the job may be purchased with the clothing allowance subject to approval by the Chief. Employees who are out on extended absences or workmen’s compensation will have their clothing allowance suspended. Employees who have not completed 1 year of service prior to the July 1 allowance payment shall have their cleaning allowance prorated and receive 1/12 of the amount per month of employment. Employees who are out on extended absences or workmen’s compensation will have their cleaning allowance prorated 1/12 for each month they are out. Two sets of structural firefighting turnout gear will also be provided for all full time employees to include but not limited to gloves, hoods, 1 NFPA compliant Helmet, forestry Nomex shirts, leather work gloves, forestry helmet, extrication gloves and forestry respirators. If determined by the Fire Chief that the Helmet is deemed Out of Service due to end of life expectancy and/or normal use and not due to intentional or gross negligence, the employee shall have their Composite Helmet as replacement. Employees will be granted permission to wear their own personal NFPA compliant helmet upon approval by the Fire Chief or his designee. The department will not be held liable for damage to the personally owned helmet should damage occur to it.
UNIFORMS AND PERSONAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT. Employees required to wear uniforms will be supplied with an adequate number of uniforms appropriate to their occupation free of cost. The Employer will replace at no cost to an Employee any personal protective equipment or uniform that is damaged at no fault of the Employee or through fair wear and tear. Where an employee’s uniforms are not laundered by or at the expense of the employer the employee will be paid a laundering allowance set out in Schedule 3.
UNIFORMS AND PERSONAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT. (PPE) and any other necessary safety equipment will be provided by the Company in accordance with the Company Standard HSS 07 (or as varied). This equipment must be worn and/or used in accordance with the Company’s safety requirements which includes ensuring that this equipment is brought to work every day.
UNIFORMS AND PERSONAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT. 13.6.1 All Employees will be provided with the necessary Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) to perform the requirements of their role.
13.6.2 PPE will be re-issued on a fair wear and tear basis.
13.6.3 PPE will be to Australian Standards.
13.6.4 Company Employees will be provided with a uniform after the successful completion of their three-month probation period.
13.6.5 The initial uniform issue will comprise of the following: i. Three (3) pair of trousers;
UNIFORMS AND PERSONAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT. 15.3.1 The Company has a Sun Protection Policy and Procedure which must be adhered to.
15.3.2 All Employees and labour hire workers will be provided with the necessary Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) to perform the requirements of their role.
15.3.3 PPE will be re-issued on a fair wear and tear basis.
15.3.4 PPE will be to Australian Standards.
15.3.5 Company Employees will be provided with a uniform after the successful completion of their three month probation period.
15.3.6 The initial uniform issue will comprise of the following:
i. Three (3) pair of trousers;
ii. Five (5) long sleeved shirts;
iii. One (1) jacket; and
iv. One (1) pair of safety boots (steel capped).
15.3.7 Thereafter, uniforms will be provided on an annual or fair wear and tear basis.
15.3.8 The Employee shall be liable for the cost of replacement of any article of uniform or PPE which is lost, destroyed or damaged through the negligence of the Employee.
15.3.9 Where an Employee is required by the Company to work continuously in conditions in which, because of their nature, their clothing would otherwise become saturated, the Company will supply the Employee with protective clothing.
15.3.10 Uniforms must be maintained by the Employee in a clean and reasonable state of repair.
15.3.11 Uniforms should be worn at all times during working hours.
15.3.12 Issued uniforms and PPE remain the property of the Company. In the event that the Employee ceases to work for the business all uniforms and PPE must be returned.
