Vacation Leave Accumulation. An employee may accumulate a vacation balance which normally shall not exceed two hundred forty (240) hours. An employee may elect to accrue in excess of two hundred forty (240) hours but must receive approval to use the excess balance prior to the next anniversary date or lose those hours accrued in excess of two hundred forty (240).
Vacation Leave Accumulation i. Employees with less than fifteen (15) years of service may accumulate three hundred twenty (320) hours of vacation leave credit.
ii. Employees with fifteen (15) years or more of service, with the last five (5) years continuous, may accumulate four hundred (400) hours of vacation leave credit.
iii. Any hours in excess of these limits will be paid out to the employee by the last payroll period of any calendar year.
Vacation Leave Accumulation. Each full time employee, who works 26 eighty (80) hours per two (2) week pay period, after service of one (1) year shall have 27 earned any will be due upon attainment of the first six months of employment, forty (40) 28 hours of vacation, and annually thereafter, eighty (80) hours of vacation with full pay. One
29 (1) year of service shall be computed on the basis of twenty-six (26) bi-weekly pay 30 periods.
Vacation Leave Accumulation. The maximum accumulation of accrued vacation is two hundred and forty (240) hours. Employees are expected to schedule vacation to avoid exceeding the maximum accumulation. If an employee is denied a vacation request within the thirty (30) days prior to exceeding the maximum accumulation, the employee, along with the Sheriff or designee, will attempt to schedule a mutually agreeable alternative. If the parties cannot agree, the employee’s vacation time in excess of 240 hours will be cashed out.
Vacation Leave Accumulation. 1. Vacation credits are earned and shall vest for the prior year upon the anniversary date of the employee's employment. Except as set forth below, vacation credits must be used during the next succeeding year. Accrued vacation credits may not be carried over from year to year without the prior approval of the City Council Manager or designee.
2. Employees shall not accrue more vacation leave than two times their annual vacation leave accrual rate in a calendar year. Employees who reach the maximum accrual amount shall cease accruing vacation leave until the amount of accrued vacation leave is reduced below the maximum accrual amount.
3. All eligible employees may take earned vacation after the completion of one
(1) year of service not to exceed the total vested amount, upon two (2) weeks’ notice and approval as to the appropriate department head.
4. Vacation credits shall not be earned during periods an employee is on unpaid status, administrative leave pursuant to section 12.00, or sick leave in excess of the employee's accumulated sick leave allowance. The credits set forth in section 12.05, subsection (a), shall be adjusted on a per diem basis where an employee has been on leave not qualifying for vacation credits.
Vacation Leave Accumulation. 36.05 a. An Employee may accumulate up to one hundred sixty-eight (168) hours of vacation leave per calendar year until the Employee accumulates the first three hundred thirty-six (336) hours.
Vacation Leave Accumulation. Employees may accrue greater than two hundred eighty (280) vacation hours between anniversary dates, but upon the employee's anniversary date, no employee shall be allowed to carry over greater than 280 hours of vacation. Employees who have an accumulated balance of vacation leave on their anniversary date in excess of 280 hours may transfer the excess hours to their sick leave account. Sick leave may accrue to a maximum of 960 hours. An employee whose vacation leave balance exceeds 280 hours on his/her anniversary date and whose sick account is at 720 hours, will have the excess balance converted to cash at the rate of 1 hour of vacation leave to 1 paid hour to a maximum pay out of 48 hours annually. To be eligible for this conversion the employee must have used 80 hours of scheduled vacation leave during the previous fiscal year.
Vacation Leave Accumulation. Employees may accumulate vacation leave up to 25 working days (187.5 straight-time hours for employees who work in the Courthouse or
Vacation Leave Accumulation. Subject to the recommendation of the Department Head and approval of the Town Administrator, employees may carry over a maximum of five (5) vacation days. Such vacation days may be used as sick days. Employees will never have more than five (5) vacation days carried over. Such days may not be used to enhance the value of the employee's pension. Notwithstanding any language to the contrary in this Section 8.2, employees hired prior to July 1,2009 and in the bargaining unit or who transfer to the bargaining unit may keep all vacation days they have accumulated to date. These days must be used before the employee's retirement from employment with the Town of Xxxxxx.
Vacation Leave Accumulation. Vacation leave for employees with less than five (5) years service may not be accumulated beyond two hundred hours. For employees with more than five (5) years service, vacation leave may not be accumulated beyond two hundred and eighty hours; providing the Town Manager may require two (2) of those weeks to be taken at a separate time. Employees who are on leave or suspension without pay for more than ten (10) working days in any calendar month shall not accumulate vacation leave for that month.
