Work Schedules and Assignments. The Employer has the right to determine the hours and days of work of an employee's work schedule including the specific starting and ending times, schedule rotation, work assignments, and schedule meal and rest periods.
Work Schedules and Assignments. 6.1: Work Week‌ The normal work week for service employees is forty (40) hours. The normal weekly schedule is five (5) days at eight (8) hours and may include weekends and/or 2nd and 3rd shifts. Other schedules may be arranged at the discretion of the College, including work weeks of less than forty (40) hours when mutually acceptable to the employee, the union, and the College or when justified by special conditions. Except for extraordinary situations, the College will provide notification of a change in work week one (1) week in advance of the change and in the case of the starting time at least by 12:00 noon preceding the day of the change. 6.2: Work Year‌ Except for food service employees, service employees are normally employed on a full-year basis of fifty-two (52) weeks. 9- month Food Service employees may be offered summer employment based on operational needs. Such employees shall be offered such work opportunities based on necessary classification as identified by the College and College seniority. Food Service employees will be classified as 9-month, 11-month or 12-month employees. The College will post and fill internally 11-month positions as determined by the College to meet its needs for coverage for food services during non-academic periods. Employees classified as 11-month employees will work outside their classification during non-academic periods, but still within CDS. The 11-month positions will not typically work during spring and fall break and the two week period following commencement.
Work Schedules and Assignments. (a) Work schedules and daily assignments are the responsibility of the College. Work shift schedules shall be chosen by the employees on a seniority basis, beginning with the most senior employee, according to provisions agreed to in section 4.01. (b) Monthly schedules shall be posted ten (10) working days prior to the end of the current month. Schedules shall be filled by sign-up of officers beginning with the senior most officers. (c) Except in emergency situations, monthly schedules may be changed to suit varying conditions of the College provided such changes are made in writing to the affected employee. If a change is needed for a period of at least two continuous work weeks, that change shall be offered to officers by seniority by using a posting, if a response or acceptance is not obtained within 24 hours, management will make necessary changes within ten (10) days prior to the change occurring. (d) The ten day advance notice does not apply to changes necessary to cover special events and vacations or other circumstances that were made known to the College less than ten (10) working days preceding the work day the schedule change is to occur. However, an employee will be allowed at least eight (8) consecutive hours off duty between the end of the regular scheduled shift, including mandated overtime, if any, and the commencement of the shift to which they are being assigned. (e) For special events when additional officers have been notified ten (10) working days in advance to be available, notice not to work, if given less than forty-eight (48) hours in advance, will be given along with two (2) hours call out pay. (f) If the College determines it has an open shift that is normally considered a union position, all employees will have the opportunity to sign up for open shifts based on seniority (highest seniority first). (g) Any remaining open shifts not covered within four days prior to the beginning of such shift can be mandated by the College in accordance with its management right to implement and revise reasonable work rules. Employees who are required by the College to work beyond their eight (8) or ten (10) hours, exclusive of lunch breaks, in any twenty-four (24) hour period, or more than forty (40) hours in any 168 hour period beginning Saturday at 12:01 a.m., will receive overtime compensation for such time worked at the overtime rate of time and one-half. 2. The College agrees to make every effort to offer overtime on an equitable basis. 3. Only actual hours worked will be considered for purposes of calculating overtime.

Work Schedules and Assignments. The Employer shall post work schedules showing the shifts, work days and work hours to which employees are assigned at least fourteen (14) calendar days in advance of the start of the deployment period. Employees shall be assigned to twelve (12) hour shifts. Employees will be afforded at least forty-eight (48) hours' notice of any changes in the work schedule, except for emergencies or where otherwise necessary to avoid interference with the efficient operations of the Department. However, changes in work schedules shall not be made for the purpose of avoiding overtime. In no event shall an employee's work schedule change more than two (2) times (days) during any deployment period, unless otherwise agreed to by the affected employee. If the Employer contemplates a change in the composition of the shift schedule, the Village will notify the Union sufficiently in advance of such a change.
Work Schedules and Assignments. Management has the exclusive right and sole discretion to define, assign, and change physician work schedules and assignments. When exercising this discretion, Management will consult clinical department heads and the Enterprise Medical Staff and may consider, as applicable: • Patient needs; • Clinician workload issues; • Health System and County needs; • Physician skills, privileges, experience, additional non-clinical responsibilities, and training; • Patient acuity, language barriers, limitations in information technology, and limitations in staffing; and/or • Administrative or clinical coordination responsibilities. Assigned work schedules and assignments shall include Clinical Time, Patient Care Coordination (PCC) Time, and Administrative Time, as described below.
