Appointment Processes. 24.3.1 For the term of this Agreement the University agrees to utilize search procedures in Units that require an active search for qualified members of equity-seeking groups, including the following:
(a) Advertisements and postings shall include the following statement: “The University invites applications from all qualified individuals. Queen’s is committed to employment equity and diversity in the workplace and welcomes applications from women, visible minorities, Aboriginal peoples, persons with disabilities, and LGBTQ persons;
(b) Advertisements shall be placed on the University and Unit websites, and in appropriate professional journals, and other venues intended to reach prospective candidates from equity-seeking groups;
(c) Copies of all such advertisements shall be transmitted to the Equity Office and to QUFA;
(d) The appropriate Xxxx and/or Unit Head or Director, University Librarian or University Archivist, as applicable, shall communicate to his/her counterparts in other Canadian universities inviting all qualified individuals, including women, visible minorities, Aboriginal peoples, persons with disabilities, and persons of any sexual orientation or gender identity to apply for advertised positions;
(e) Other measures as authorized by the Xxxx, University Librarian or University Archivist, in consultation with the Unit Head or Director or equivalent representative of Members of the Department or Unit, and/or the Equity Office; and
(f) Other measures as recommended by either Party or by the Equity Office, and agreed to by the Parties. The Parties further agree that with regard to any grievance arising from an alleged failure to meet Article 24.3.1(c), the overturning of an appointment process cannot be a remedy to the grievance.
24.3.2 Consistent with the principle that the primary criterion for appointment to positions at the University is academic and professional excellence, and in order to address the employment equity goals of the University to adequately reflect the diversity of Canadian society, Appointments Committees shall
(a) take special care not to eliminate at early stages potentially strong candidates from equity-seeking groups; and
(b) invite for an interview any candidate in these groups, who, if the candidate were to perform very well at the interview, would be viewed as competitive with other interviewed candidates.

6.2 Consistent with the principle that the primary criterion for appointment to positions at the School is academic and professional excellence, the Parties agree that:
a) when candidates' qualifications are substantially equal and meet the criteria established for the appointment in question, the candidate who is Canadian or a permanent resident of Canada shall be recommended for appointment; and
b) in order to ensure that the final stages of any appointment competition adequately reflect the diversity of Canadian society, Appointments Committees shall take special care not to eliminate at early stages potentially strong candidates who are women, visible minorities, Aboriginal people or persons with a disability. In selecting applicants who will be invited for interview, search committees shall include the names of any candidate in these groups, who, if the candidate performed very well at the interview, would be viewed as competitive with other interviewed candidates.
Appointment Processes. 8.01 The parties acknowledge that Postdoctoral Fellow candidates come to the attention of potential employment Supervisors through a number of appropriate avenues, including direct communication with a candidates(s) and/or with colleagues.
8.02 Except in the above circumstances, the Employer agrees that Postdoctoral Fellowship positionsshall be posted for a period of not less than ten (10) days, and no offer of employment shall be made until the posting has closed.
8.03 A posting will identify, at a minimum, the following: job title, description of the area or topic of research, salary range, Supervisor and academic unit, bargaining unit, date of posting, and application deadline, duration of the appointment, required qualifications, restrictions (if applicable), the application procedure, required documentation (e.g. Curriculum Vitae (C.V.), references, publications, etc.), and an employment equity statement. Such positions will be posted on the Office of the Deputy Xxxxxxx’x website.
8.04 All Postdoctoral Fellows within this bargaining unit shall receive a letter of appointment from the Deputy Xxxxxxx, which shall include, at a minimum, the following information: job title, description of the area or topic of research, duties and responsibilities of the position, confirmation that the appropriate statutory deductions will be deducted at source, remuneration, Supervisor and academic unit or department, start date and duration of the appointment, confirmation that this position falls within the bargaining unit, and a link to the Collective Agreement. A welcome letter for Postdoctoral Fellows from the Union and the Directly Chartered Local PSAC 77000 (per Appendix B) will be included with the letter of appointment, a copy of which will be provided to the Employer by the Union. This appointment is confirmed once the Postdoctoral Fellow signs a copy of the letter of appointment signaling acceptance of these terms and conditions of employment. The Union shall be copied on all signed letters of appointment within ten business days.
8.05 A Postdoctoral Fellowship appointment at Carleton University within this bargaining unit may be renewed or extended subject to the availability of funding and the Supervisor’s research agenda.

Appointment Processes. 12.1 In developing the LCO, a joint approach to recruitment needs to develop, to cover new appointments, and accounts for instances where the implementation of single line management arrangements may impact on staff. These arrangements will include: - The Resourcing Principles (Appendix 2) will be adhered to where a vacancy is identified. A joint commitment to equality and diversity through the adoption of fair, open and transparent recruitment processes. Appropriately constituted panels for all interviews. All new roles in the LCO leadership and management structures will be made initially available to identified ‘in-scope’ staff from partner organisations, regardless of their employer, subject to any relevant professional qualification that may apply. In relation to future recruitment across the partner organisations, where roles are funded wholly by one of the partner organisations of the LCO, the terms and conditions of that employer will apply. New employees appointed to these positions will take on the new terms and conditions. If the role is funded by multiple sources, a leadership decision must be made in respect of where the role sits (i.e. which organisation will host the role), and employees appointed to these positions will take on the terms and conditions of the host organisation.

(a) Unless otherwise agreed in writing by the Parties, each Appointee appointed pursuant to this Agreement shall (i) have sufficient financial or operational experience with electric energy plants similar to the Project, (ii) be an individual who is an employee of one of the Parties or one of their respective Affiliates, and (iii) serve in accordance with the applicable terms and provisions of this Agreement and the Avista-NorthWestern 3&4 Agreement.
(b) Avista shall appoint the individual and alternates who shall be entitled to instruct NorthWestern regarding voting of the Shared Vote with respect to any Remediation Proposal under this Agreement (the “Avista Appointee”). NorthWestern shall appoint the individual and alternates who shall be entitled to use the Shared Vote with respect to any Operator Replacement Proposal or Other Proposal under this Agreement (the “NorthWestern Appointee”).
(c) Notice of any appointment made pursuant to this Section 2.1 shall be delivered in writing to the other Parties not later than one Business Day prior to the effective date of such appointment. Nothing in this Section 2.1 is intended to limit the Parties’ ability to agree in writing to alter the selection process for any Appointee. The Notice of appointment shall contain contact information for the Appointee, including a physical mailing address, electronic mail address, and telephone number.

(a) Unless otherwise agreed in writing by PP&L Montana and MPC, each Appointee appointed pursuant to this Agreement shall (i) have sufficient financial and/or operational experience with electric energy plants similar to the Project, (ii) be an individual who is an employee of one of the Parties to this Agreement, and (iii) serve in accordance with the applicable terms and provisions of this Agreement and the Ownership Agreement.
(b) Subject to Section 17(c) of the Ownership Agreement, during any period in which PP&L Montana (which for purposes of this Section 2.1(b) does not include any of PP&L Montana's successors or assigns) is the Operator, PP&L Montana shall have the sole right and power to appoint the Chairman of the Project Committee (the "Chairman Appointee"). The Chairman Appointee, as such, shall not have the power to vote regarding any portion of the Shared Vote.
(c) PP&L Montana shall appoint the individual and alternates (the "PP&L Appointee") who shall be entitled to use the Shared Vote on PP&L Montana's behalf under this Agreement and MPC shall appoint the individual and alternates who shall be entitled to use the Shared Vote on MPC's behalf under this Agreement (the "MPC Appointee").
(d) Notice of any appointment made pursuant to this Section 2.1 shall be delivered in writing not later than one business day prior to the effective date of such

3) This process may include evaluation of the cleaner’s performance through employment as a casual (relief) cleaner.
4) The parties further agree that where a vacancy of 2 months or longer occurs due to the absence of a cleaner on parental leave, long service leave, sick leave, special leave without pay or where operational needs exist, the vacancy should be filled by a cleaner engaged on a temporary basis for a specified term.
5) Casual cleaners may be engaged to fill temporary vacancies of a short-term nature i.e. up to 2 months.
