Crediting of Sick Leave. Sick leave credit shall be earned at the rate of 4.6 hours for each eighty (80) hours of service in active pay status, including paid vacation, overtime and sick leave up to a maximum yearly accumulation of one hundred twenty (120) hours, but not during a leave of absence, suspension, or layoff. Unused sick leave shall accumulate without limit.
Crediting of Sick Leave. 12.01 (a) A regular employee shall be entitled to accumulate sick leave credits at the rate of two (2) days per month worked. Sick leave shall be prorated for part-time employees.
Crediting of Sick Leave. All employees shall earn sick leave at the rate of one and one quarter (1-1/4) days per month. Employees shall not accumulate sick leave during the school calendar year (the contracted school year) when they are not in active pay status (excluding winter and spring recess). Employees contracted to work longer than the contracted school year shall earn additional sick leave at that rate of one and one-quarter (1-1/4) days per month (prorated if the employee is in active pay status for less than one full month in any month of employment. Employees hired on or before September 1, 2012, shall accumulate sick leave without limit. Employees hired after September 1, 2012, shall accumulate sick leave up to a maximum of two hundred thirty-five (235) days. When the earning of sick leave is prorated, the proration shall be calculated in one-half (1/2) hour units.
Crediting of Sick Leave. 19.01 (a) A teacher shall be credited with an annual sick leave allowance of twenty (20) days unless the employee is on leave, in which case, the number of sick days shall be prorated as required, based on the balance of the year following the teacher’s return and credited to the teacher’s account on the first day of return.

Secretaries Reporting to Work or on Paid Leave at the Beginning of Their Contract Year: Each secretary covered by this Agreement shall be credited with one (1) day of paid sick leave for each month of work. Secretaries covered by this Agreement who qualify to receive paid sick leave days shall be granted one (1) day of sick leave allowance for each month the Secretary receives pay in the position. Unpaid leave days will result in a proration of monthly sick leave allowance. Sick leave days will be credited at the beginning of the employee’s work year.

There be a maximum entitlement of hundred and forty (340) days of sick leave credits which can be accumulated by the employee.

All unused sick leave at the end of each school year shall be accumulated to the credit of each employee. There shall be a maximum entitlement of three hundred and forty (340) days of sick leave credits which can be accumulated by the employee.
Crediting of Sick Leave. A. Each employee shall be credited sick leave at 8 hours per pay period of active pay status to a maximum of one hundred sixty-eight (168) hours per year. New hires will accrue during their first calendar year, after which the full one hundred sixty-eight (168) hours will be credited on January 1 of each year along with the current vested employees. In the event the employee resigns, retires, or is terminated before the end of the calendar year and has received his full annual sick benefit, either through actual sick leave used or hours cashed out, the Amount will be prorated based on the hours worked and any amount due the city will be deducted from his final pay. Employee shall not retain more than seven hundred twenty hours (720) of banked sick leave, subject to the provision below.

Employees shall not accumulate sick leave during the school calendar year (the contracted school year) when they are not in active pay status (excluding winter and spring recess). Employees under contract to work the summer school program shall earn one (1) additional day of sick leave based on fifteen (15) workdays during summer school. If an employee is in active pay status less than fifteen (15) days, the awarding of sick leave shall be prorated. Summer school employees may also use their accumulated sick leave, during the summer school program, in accordance with the usage provisions set forth in this Article. Unused sick leave shall accumulate without limit. When the earning of sick leave is prorated, the proration shall be calculated in one-half (1/2) hour units.
Crediting of Sick Leave. At the beginning of the fiscal year following the employee's original employment, the employee shall be credited with the unused portion of accrued sick leave plus the full year's sick leave for the fiscal year.
