Information Systems and Technology. (1) The Service Provider shall have the following: (a) the capability to receive Service Requests electronically; (b) an electronic mail system; (c) facsimile equipment with a dedicated telephone line available for receiving facsimile transmissions, 7 days per week, 24 hours per day, each day of the year; (d) an internal voice mail system, including the capability to receive after-hours voice mail messages; and (e) computer hardware and software which is capable of reporting data in a format that is compatible with the CCAC’s computer hardware and software. (2) The Service Provider shall, (a) comply with the data formatting requirements as specified in the CCAC policies and procedures relating to data formatting as amended from time to time, including the ability to accept Service Requests electronically; (b) comply with the data integrity and confidentiality standards established by the CCAC; and (c) have the capability to exchange data with the CCAC via the CCAC’s web-based e-commerce application. (3) The Service Provider shall implement and maintain security and data back-up procedures that will ensure data integrity, data recovery and continuation of service in a disaster situation. (4) The Service Provider shall, on an ongoing basis update its existing information systems and technology, at its own cost and expense, to ensure that its information systems and technology are, at all times during the Agreement Term, similar to or better than the level and type of information systems and technology of a good service provider in a comparable market. (5) The CCAC may, in its sole discretion and by providing 90 days’ prior Notice to Service Providers, or such other notice period as agreed by the Parties, introduce new information systems and technology requirements applicable to Service Providers in respect of the Consolidated Services.

At this level, a thorough understanding of service administration and industry issues is required in order to manage large and complex services, obtain maximum productivity from a large workforce and integrate all aspects of the provision of services. In addition to the direct management of all administrative support functions, positions at this level are required to directly influence medical, paramedical and nursing service delivery. Negotiations at this level occur with professional specialists and/or significant community representatives in regard to service delivery, facilities and resource requirements. Because many of the issues are unusual or considerable interpretation of the major emergency service issues is needed, this position is required to develop proposals to identify the future plans for the institution and the nature of its services. Influencing factors are diverse and choice often requires a synthesis of opinions, detailed analysis of options and presentation of achievable plans. Support in the management of these issues may be provided through the Chief Executive, Directors, Government Department representatives and expert consultants in specialist fields. The achievement of results is substantially vested in this position allowing considerable autonomy in the deployment of allocated resources and management of project plans. At the same time, there is limited freedom to initiate and commit the institution to new ventures without approval from the key stakeholders and Chief Executive/Board. Information Systems and Technology. Subject to the requirements, ultimate control and direction of the Insurers and NPFS, NPHC will provide all consulting and maintenance services for all information systems of Insurers and NPFS and all consulting services for software licensed to Insurers and NPFS. These Services will include software programming, documentation and hardware utilization, consulting and advising regarding software and hardware systems; negotiating, selecting and procuring hardware and software systems and technology for Insurers; and performing any other functions and activities for the Insurers and NPFS which are related or incidental to the foregoing. In addition, NPHC will purchase and maintain equipment, hardware and software as may be reasonably required on a "going forward" basis (including frame relays for intranet and e-mail communications) for Insurers and NPFS to communicate electronically with affiliated companies (excluding all telephone and facsimile lines and equipment).
