Typically, this clause outlines the conditions under which employees earn overtime credits, such as working more than a set number of hours per week or on designated holidays, and specifies the rate or form of compensation, like extra pay or time off in lieu. Its core function is to ensure fair compensation for extra work and to provide clear guidelines for both employers and employees regarding overtime arrangements.
