Personal Leave Day Policy. Maintenance shall be granted four (4) days of personal leave and Nutrition Services shall be granted two (2) days per year with full pay at the straight time rate provided: a. Written notification for such leave shall be made at least five (5) days in advance if possible. b. All letters of application for personal leave days will be submitted by operations and maintenance personnel to the supervisor of maintenance and operations, and by other bargaining unit members to their supervisor. 1) These days may be taken immediately preceding or following a holiday or vacation. 2) a) When scheduling personal leave days before or after a holiday, it is agreed that the District may limit, based upon available coverage, the total number of nutrition services employees utilizing personal leave days as follows: No more than five (5) nutrition services employees and no more than one (1) per kitchen or two (2) per high school kitchen, may be absent on any such day. The district may also limit, based upon available coverage, the total number of maintenance employees to no more than ten (10) employees on any student attendance day before or after a holiday.

Personal Leave Day Policy. A. Definition and Proper Use of Personal Leave Days 1. Leave Days are a benefit provided to the Administrator and should be used professionally and during a time of need. a. Proper use of Personal Leave Days may include, but are not limited to, personal illness, temporary physical disability of an Administrator, illness in the immediate family, or temporary physical disability of an immediate family member. b. Personal Leave Days may also be needed for personal business. Personal business may be needed for personal or private business such as a major life event (birth, marriage, graduation out of state, closing on a house, etc.). Personal business is for a reason beyond the control of the individual, and is needed for a legitimate activity that can be accomplished only during school hours. Prearranged Personal Business Days shall not be taken in the first or last week of the school year or within one (1) day before or after a break/recess period. Administrator planning to use a personal business day(s) shall notify their immediate supervisor at least one (1) day in advance, except in cases of emergency. c. Personal Leave Days are not to be used for vacation. 2. Immediate family of the Administrator shall be defined as: spouse, parents, child(ren), siblings, grandparents, grandchildren, and step-relatives of both the Administrator and the Administrator’s spouse as well as others approved by the Superintendent or his/her designee. 3. In addition to the above leave days, an Administrator shall be allowed up to three (3) days for any death in the immediate family as well as other family members approved by the Superintendent or his/her designee. In extenuating circumstances, additional days may be granted. 4. Days for major Religious Holidays shall be granted upon submission of a written request by the Administrator with at least two (2) days in advance to his/her immediate supervisor. Days used for major Religious Holidays will not be deducted from an Administrator’s Leave bank. B. An Administrator may accumulate a maximum of 90 days in their leave bank. The Administrator shall have their leave bank reset to 90 each July 1. Those Administrators who had an excess of 90 days prior to July 2020, shall be allowed to retain the days currently in their bank. The faculty shall deposit a number of personal leave days to the Xxxxxx TeachersPersonal Leave Day Bank which the Board will match to a maximum of one hundred eighty (180) days per year. The maximum contribution of the Board shall not exceed five hundred forty (540) days with no more than one hundred eighty (180) days deposited during any one year. The faculty may deposit any number of days beyond the one hundred eighty (180) days per year. B. Drawing against the Personal Leave Day Bank shall be permitted only for days that the teacher is expected to be in session. C. No individual may draw more than ninety (90) days from the Personal Leave Day Bank for any one incident, nor more than one hundred eighty (180) total maximum over the period of time with the Xxxxxx Public Schools. D. By May 30 of each school year, the Association shall deliver to the Administration a roster of Personal Leave Bank contributions. X. A tenured or non-tenured teacher may draw on the bank for sick leave anytime his/her absence exceeds five (5) consecutive school days and his/her sick leave is exhausted. The exception being when the teacher can present a doctor’s statement to the effect that an intermittent absence is for the same cause and will count for the five-day limit. F. The Personal Leave Day Bank Committee will control the Personal Leave Day Bank and retroactive withdrawals. The Committee shall consist of three (3) Bargaining Unit members to be elected by the Association; two (2) School Board Members and the Superintendent. Granting of Personal Leave Day Bank withdrawal and retroactive pay shall be secret ballot with each member of the committee having one (1) and only one (1) vote. Simple majority of the vote will rule. The committees shall maintain the confidentiality of medical information received and its decision shall not be grievable. G. A yearly report of total Personal Leave Day Bank days used, the number of days used by individuals, and the number of total days remaining in the Personal Leave Day Bank shall be given to the Association by September 30. X. After a teacher has accumulated twenty-eight (28) personal leave days, he/she may elect to be paid for up to 5 unused (from the current school year) personal leave days at the conclusion of that school year. Personal Leave Day Policy. SECTION 10.1 Each employee shall receive on January 1st of each calendar year three (3) personal days. Personal leave which is unused by the end of the calendar year shall be forfeited. Personal leave shall not accumulate. The use of personal days may be denied by the Village for operational reasons. The Village shall give priority to full-time employees when granting personal days. Employees must provide twenty-four (24) hour notification for the use of personal days, however, the Village may waive the notification period in the event of an emergency. After four (4) hours of work, personal leave time shall be granted in one (1) hour increments. The use of personal leave may be denied by the Village for operational reasons. If the use of personal leave is denied by the Village, the employee will be permitted to reschedule their personal leave. SECTION 10.2 Upon separation from Village employment, employees will receive pay for earned personal leave days.

  • Personal Leave Written request for a personal leave of absence without pay will be considered on an individual basis by the Hospital. Such requests are to be submitted to the employee's immediate supervisor at least four (4) weeks in advance, unless not reasonably possible to give such notice, and a written reply will be given within fourteen (14) days except in cases of emergency in which case a reply will be given as soon as possible. Employees needing personal leave days for appointments with medical practitioners may utilize the personal leave language. Such leave shall not be unreasonably withheld.

  • Personal Leaves 8.11.4.1 As approved by the Board, personal leaves without pay may be granted in cases of exceptional need for up to six (6) months. Any such leave exceeding one (1) semester shall not be counted toward tenure or promotion or for computing salary increments.   • Personal Leave of Absence The Administrator may grant a request for leave of absence for personal reasons without pay provided that he receives at least one (1) month's clear notice, in writing, unless impossible, and provided that such leave may be arranged without undue inconvenience to the normal operations of the Nursing Home.
