Professional Growth Fund a) The District will provide Professional Growth funds in the amount of $10,000 annually for use by SJPEC members b) These funds are to be utilized for activities related to job-connected skills or potential careers within the District. c) Hours accumulated utilizing these funds are not eligible for Continuing Education hours. d) Union related activities and expenses are not permissible with the SJPEC Professional Growth Fund e) Members are encouraged to schedule professional development outside of school hours whenever possible. f) SJPEC President and the Associate Superintendent or designee shall mutually determine the authorization for expenditures from this fund. g) This account will rollover annually with the maximum amount accrued not to exceed $20,000.00. h) The timelines and procedures that exist in the SJUSD Travel Conference Approval Expense and Claim Form will be utilized for any travel and/or expenses from this account.

Professional Growth Fund. 23.1.1 The Employer shall establish a Professional Growth Fund for employees covered by this Agreement. The Employer shall contribute Ten Thousand Dollars ($10,000.00) annually to the fund, and in addition will contribute up to Two Thousand Dollars ($2,000.00) provided that the additional contribution is matched by the Union. The residual of the fund shall be carried forward from year to year. 23.1.2 The Professional Growth Fund shall be used to provide employees with professional development activities in accordance with guidelines developed by a Joint Committee consisting of four (4) representatives of the Union with a single vote each, two (2) representatives GYPSD Administration with two (2) votes each. 23.1.3 The Employer shall provide leave with pay for employees participating in activities supported by the Professional Growth Fund.
Professional Growth Fund. A. A professional growth fund of $111,858 will be maintained for expenses related to licensed professional participation in educational workshops and meetings and will be increased annually using the previous December’s CPI-W Portland formula. B. Building site committees will begin the allocation of the building professional growth fund by September 15. C. On an annual basis licensed professionals will have input regarding staff development. D. Annually, a $20,668 fund will be set-up to provide substitute costs for those licensed professionals wishing to attend workshops which fall outside the scope of the school improvement plan and site council oversight. Licensed professionals will submit their request to their building principal and final approval will be subject to authorization by the appropriate Assistant Superintendent. Workshops and conferences will be related to licensed professional assignments, professional growth plans and/or endorsement being sought. The fund will increase annually using the previous December’s CPI-W Portland formula.
Professional Growth Fund. Section 1. A Professional Growth Fund for each administrator of Twenty-Four Hundred ($2,400.00) Dollars annually will be implemented. The Professional Growth Fund is to be used for attendance at professional meetings related to the administrator's area of expertise or professional responsibilities, materials, periodicals, certification, memberships in professional organizations, and professional improvement plans. The supervisor may direct an employee to use the funds to address a performance deficiency. Monies from the Professional Growth Fund will be paid on a reimbursement basis and may also cover meetings. Expenditures of professional growth funds shall be approved by the employee’s supervisor.
Professional Growth Fund. 3.12.3.1 The District will allocate $4,250 (each year) for a Professional Growth Fund. The Professional Growth Fund will be increased by $250 for each employee added to the bargaining unit over twenty-five (25) employees. Qualifications for and distribution of such Professional Growth Fund allocation shall be developed by an Association/District committee. Said committee will additionally report to the Board no later than August 15, concerning employee use of Professional Growth Fund for educational purposes. Compensable hours worked in accordance with this section shall be at the employee's regular rate of pay. 3.12.3.2 The District will allow unexpended professional growth funds to carry forward into the following fiscal year for approved Association professional growth activities provided that a District purchase order for said group activity is issued no later than August 15.
Professional Growth Fund. 10.01 The Board agrees to provide financial support to Teachers through the professional growth fund. 10.02 Payment of a maximum of fifty percent (50%) of a course fee, up to a maximum of four hundred dollars ($400.00) per year, shall be made to the Teacher upon successful completion of courses outlined under Clauses 10.03 (a) and (b) below. A list of the courses eligible under 10.03 (a) shall be supplied to the Teachers by June 30th of each year. (a) Effective September 1, 2002 a maximum of twenty-five thousand ($25,000.00) dollars per year shall be allocated for Board-approved courses. These courses shall include, but not be limited to: Religious Education I, II and Specialist. It is understood to qualify for this payment the course must commence after September 1st and be completed within one (1) school year. (b) Effective September 1, 2002 a maximum of twenty thousand ($20,000.00) dollars per year shall be allocated for Ministry of Education and/or College of Teachers professional upgrading courses, such as Basic Qualifications (BQs), Additional Basic Qualifications (ABQs) and Additional Qualifications (AQs) not listed in (a) It is understood to qualify for this payment the course must commence after September 1st and be completed within one (1) school year. It is understood that university undergraduate and graduate degree courses are not eligible. 10.04 In order to qualify for reimbursement in 10.03 (a) and 10.03 (b) above, Teachers must have the course approved in advance and it is understood that financial support will be approved on a first-come-first-served basis according to the original date of receipt of the application. 10.05 One-half (½) of the funds available in 10.03 (a) and 10.03 (b) shall be allocated for courses to be completed in the fall/winter/spring. One-half (½) of the funds available in 10.03 (a) and 10.03 (b) plus any surplus from the fall/winter/spring allocation, shall be allocated for courses completed during the summer. 10.06 It is acknowledged that the provision of this Article replaces the Sabbatical Leave Article previously found in the 1998-2000 Collective Agreement.
Professional Growth Fund. 1. Professional Growth Fund of six thousand dollars ($6,000.00) may be used to provide an employee or group of employees with special training desired by the employee or group of employees when that training is determined to prove a benefit to the betterment of the performance of the duties of that classified employee or group of employees. 2. This fund shall be administered by a committee and approved by the Board in July of each school year. Members of the committee shall be: The Superintendent or their appointed representative, and four (4) classified employees to be appointed by the Association. 3. In the event that multiple training opportunities become available which exceed the six thousand dollars ($6,000.00) Professional Growth Fund, the Board will consider a formal request for additional monies to meet such a contingency upon recommendation of the administering committee.

Professional Growth Fund. 9.2.1. The Employer shall annually contribute: 9.2.1.1. Thirty-five per cent (35%) of three and half (3.5) times the fourth (4) year maximum of the salary grid as of September 1 of each year of this collective agreement; plus 9.2.1.2. Funds not expended in a given year shall be added to the total the following year to a maximum of forty per cent (40%) of the total funds available for that year. Funds not expended, in excess of forty per cent (40%) will be returned to the Employer. Any deficit in one (1) year shall be taken from the total of the following year. 9.2.3. The fund shall be administered by a committee consisting of: 9.2.3.1. the Association Evergreen Local No. 11 Professional Development chairperson, or designate; 9.2.3.2. one (1) teacher representative from each of the five (5) zones, selected according to the constitution of the Association Evergreen Local No. 11;
Professional Growth Fund. The Employer committee representatives will work with the Professional Growth Committee to modify the Administrative Procedure 423 to address the Masters, Doctoral, and / or Leadership Quality Standard Programs portion of the Professional Growth Fund. The modification will allow employees to apply for two thousand dollars ($2,000) per employee, per school year, allocation for a Masters, Doctoral and / or Leadership Quality Standard Programs. Applicants may combine monies from the general professional growth fund with monies listed above. This letter of understanding expires on June 30, 2026, unless the language is replaced through the collective bargaining process.
Professional Growth Fund. ‌ 1. The professional growth fund shall be $40,000. Teachers with one year of service or more in the Oregon City Schools shall be reimbursed for 50% of their tuition costs. This shall be to a maximum of $1,500 for each individual per school year. 2. Teachers shall submit the standard requisition form to the Board Treasurer prior to enrollment/registration for credit course work. The Board Treasurer shall issue a purchase order to ensure reimbursement upon verification of completion of credit course work. Teacher shall submit an official transcript to the Board Treasurer with the grade of B or better to receive reimbursement. 3. When standard requisition from is not given to the Board Treasurer and the Fund is depleted, the teacher shall not be reimbursed.
