Professional Growth Stipend. The amount of Three Hundred and Sixty Dollars ($360.00) shall be paid annually (prorated for part-time employees) for every six (6) units of work commenced and completed after July 1, 2008. An employee may earn and receive compensation for only six (6) units per year. Yearly increments are cumulative and shall continue as long as the employee remains in the District.
Professional Growth Stipend. 30.5.1 One professional growth unit is earned for each course unit earned or upon completion of fifteen (15) clock hours or course unit of pre-approved course work or training. The course work or training shall be approved in advance by the employee’s immediate supervisor and submitted to Human Resources.
Professional Growth Stipend. Each employee on Comprehensive or Long Form evaluation will receive a $500 stipend. Each employee on Focused or PGAP evaluation will receive a $250 stipend. Stipend is paid in January, and is not prorated by FTE. For employees hired after January, the stipend is paid in July and is not prorated by FTE.
Professional Growth Stipend. As an alternative to using Sections 24.2 and/or 24.3, the following professional growth opportunity shall be offered to bargaining unit employees: All regular bargaining unit employees are eligible for a professional growth stipend. If an employee requests reimbursement and is reimbursed for fees and texts/materials under section 24.2 or 24.3, or if the district has paid such fees under 24.4.6, the employee will not be entitled to receive professional growth stipends for the same courses. 24.5.1 Eligible bargaining unit employees shall receive the following temporary professional growth stipend in addition to regular pay: (9 units) - $45/month (18 units)-$90/month 24.5.2 The terms “regular bargaining unit employees” shall include the following types of classified employees for purposes of determining eligibility to any professional growth stipend. a. Persons in full-time classified service who have served at least one school year, or major portion thereof in permanent status in the Xxxxx Xxxxxxx Joint Community College district immediately prior to the school year for which application for a professional growth stipend is made. b. Persons in part-time classified service who have served at least one school year or major portion thereof in the Xxxxx Xxxxxxx Joint Community College district immediately prior to the school year for which application for a professional growth stipend is made. Part-time regular employees shall have their stipends pro-rated. 24.5.3 The term “regular bargaining unit employees” shall exclude the following types of classified employees for purposes of determining eligibility to any professional growth stipend: a. Probationary employees b. Permanent employees with less than one school year (or major portion thereof) of service immediately prior to the year for which application for a professional growth stipend is made c. Persons in the following types of non-classified service positions: • Substitutes • Short-term employees • Students employed at hourly student salary rates • Apprentices • Professional experts employed on a temporary basis d. Terminated employees in any type of classified position. 24.5.4 Acquiring Professional Growth Units Eligible bargaining unit employees may earn units by taking Xxxxx Xxxxxxx College credit classes which are job-related and enhance their skills to perform their current jobs more effectively and/or to enhance th...
Professional Growth Stipend. B-1.01: A professional growth stipend will be awarded to each employee who has demonstrated academic improvement by either attending a conference or earning semester hours credit in a course of child development or a related course. Eligibility and payment for the professional growth stipend must be approved by the supervisor in advance of the attendance or enrollment. The decision of the supervisor shall be final and not subject to the grievance procedure.
Professional Growth Stipend. Employees will receive a stipend as follows: Employees will be given twenty dollars ($20) per month stipend plus applicable COLA, rounded to the nearest dollar amount for each twenty (20) professional growth credit units completed to a maximum of two hundred forty dollars ($240) plus applicable COLA, rounded to the nearest dollar amount. Stipends shall end when an employee is reclassified or promoted to a job which salary exceeds the value of the previous base salary plus stipend by at least five percent (5%). Professional Growth Stipend. The Avon Local Board of Education will pay one hundred twenty-five dollars ($125.00) per semester hour or the cost of the class if less, up to a maximum of nine (9) semester hours of additional college credit subject to an aggregate of $40,000.00 per school year for all bargaining unit members. The additional hours must be in the field of education at an approved four (4) year institution and official transcripts must be filed with the Superintendent’s Office/Designee no later than December 1 of the school year following the acquisition of the additional hours. In lieu of the transcript, written evidence of the request must be in to the Superintendent’s Office/Designee by December 1. Payment will be made prior to February 15th in a payment outside of the employee’s regular pay. The bargaining unit member must be under contract with the Board at the time of payment. Reimbursement will not be paid when the hours acquired were fully paid for by a grant, etc. In the event of a partial grant, reimbursement will not exceed the bargaining unit member's actual cost.

  • Professional Growth The Superintendent shall devote the Superintendent’s time, attention, and energy to the direction, administration, and supervision of the District. The Board, however, encourages the continued professional growth of the Superintendent through the Superintendent’s active attendance at and participation in appropriate professional meetings at the local, regional, state and national levels. The Board shall encourage the use of data and information sources, and shall encourage the participation of the Superintendent in pertinent education seminars and courses offered by public or private institutions or by educational associations, as well as the participation in informational meetings with those individuals whose particular skills, expertise, or backgrounds would serve to improve the capacity of the Superintendent to perform the Superintendent’s professional responsibilities for the District. In its encouragement of the Superintendent to grow professionally, the Board shall permit a reasonable amount of release time for the Superintendent as the Superintendent and the Board deem appropriate, to attend such seminars, courses or meetings. The District does hereby agree to provide in the District’s budget during the term of this Contract for the benefit of the Superintendent, a professional development budget per contract year to be used for registration, travel, meals, lodging, and other related expenses. The District shall pay the Superintendent’s membership dues to the American Association of School Administrators, the Texas Association of School Administrators, and the Texas Association of Suburban/Mid-Urban Schools, as well as other memberships necessary to maintain and improve the Superintendent’s professional skills.

  • Professional Development Leave A. Policy. Professional development leave shall be made available to employees who meet the requirements set forth below. Such leaves are granted to increase an employee's value to the University through enhanced opportunities for professional renewal, educational travel, study, formal education, research, writing, or other experience of professional value, not as a reward for service.

  • PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT AND EDUCATIONAL IMPROVEMENT A. Tuition costs incurred by administrator shall be reimbursed by the Board of Education under the following terms and conditions: 1. Tuition costs eligible for reimbursement must be for courses in the field of education. In addition, courses not in the field of education but closely related may be approved for reimbursement at the sole discretion of the Superintendent or his/her designee in advance of enrollment. Reimbursement will not be made until satisfactory evidence of having received a passing grade is presented. 2. Reimbursement for actual tuition costs incurred by a member shall be limited to a maximum reimbursement of the average tuition cost for twelve (12) graduate/Doctoral level credits at the following four (4) state universities: Rutgers, Rowan, College of New Jersey, and Montclair computed annually. Masters’ degree maximum will be limited to the average Masters’ level cost and Doctorate degree maximum will be limited to the average Doctoral level cost. 3. The date on which a course is completed will determine the contract year in which the credits will be applicable for reimbursement. 4. Non-tenured members shall be eligible for reimbursement at the level set forth in Subsection 2 above, for tuition costs incurred for graduate credits earned during a period after the award of a first-year contract, but prior to the commencement of work under a tenured contract; provided however, such reimbursement shall not be payable to such member unless and until said member has commenced work under a tenure contract. 5. Upon satisfactory compliance by the member with all of the terms and conditions set forth in the preceding subsections, such member shall be paid his/her reimbursement entitlement on either October 2 for the prior Spring and Summer course work taken, or April 1 for the prior Fall course work provided that the member is still in the employ of the Board on such date. Such payment shall be further conditioned on said member remaining in the employ of the Board for the remainder of the current school year. In the event that such member shall leave the employ of the Board prior to the expiration of the school year in which such reimbursement entitlement has been paid, such member shall be obligated to refund to the Board the entire reimbursement paid to him/her during such school year, and for such purpose, the Board shall be empowered to deduct said sum from such member’s salary payments. 6. No member shall be eligible for tuition reimbursement in connection with tuition costs incurred that are paid by the Veteran’s Administration or any other outside agency. 7. Upon earning tenure in the district as an administrator, the Board of Education shall reimburse the administrator costs associated with their participation in the New Jersey State Mentoring and Assessment Program. Participation in the Mentoring and Assessment Program must have occurred entirely during the time of employment in the Washington Township Public School District.
