Paid Sick Time.
19.1. Paid sick time accrues for full-time and part-time employees based upon the number of hours worked per pay period. The sick accrual rate for full and part-time employees is .0375 with a max of accrual of 96 hours. All other sick time guidelines shall be governed by the Employer’s Employee Handbook and Employee Benefits Summary.
Paid Sick Time. Employees will accumulate sick leave credits at the rate of four (4) hours for every one hundred and seventy-six (176) hours worked to an annual maximum of thirty-six (36) hours. It is understood that these credits will be part of and not in addition to the credits detailed in the current B-3 (d). In an employee’s first twenty-four (24) hours of injury or illness, sick time with pay can be taken only if sick time credits exist in the employee’s sick leave bank. When sick time credit is spent, it must be re-accumulated, but will not exceed thirty-six (36) hours. The maximum numbers of working hours an employee is entitled to receive in sick time per calendar year is thirty- six (36) hours.
Paid Sick Time. A. An employee in the bargaining unit shall be entitled, for each completed eighty (80) hours of service, to sick time of four and six-tenths (4.6) hours with pay. Employees begin accruing sick time from date of hire. No employee shall be permitted to use more sick time than he/she has accrued.
B. Sick time may be granted only for the following:
Paid Sick Time. After six (6) months of full-time service, full-time employees shall be credited with two (2) sick days with pay and after a full year of full-time service, they shall be credited with an additional two (2) sick days with pay. As of January 1st in any given year, after six (6) months of full-time employment, an employee shall be credited with three (3) sick days with pay and after a full year of full-time service they shall be credited with an additional four (4) sick days with pay. Effective January 1st, 2006, of each year, the full-time employees shall again be credited with eight (8) sick days, with pay. Said sick days shall not be cumulative from year to year. The employee may be able to use these casual paid sick days at any time during the year. Any unused sick days for the twelve (12) months ending December 1st of each year will be paid out to that employee at one hundred percent (100%) of their current wage, in the last pay period previous to December 25th.
Paid Sick Time. For employees hired after January 1, 2018, the amount of paid sick leave has been reduced to a maximum of five paid days per year. These amounts are pro-rated for part-time workers.
Paid Sick Time. To minimize economic hardships that may result from an eligible employee's unexpected short- term illness or injury, to encourage regular health maintenance and to allow time for the caretaking of family members, WFC provides some paid time off to employees. You can take paid sick leave for yourself or a covered family member, for preventive care or diagnosis, care or treatment of an existing health condition, or for specified purposes if you are a victim of domestic violence, sexual assault or stalking, or when a family member or designated person needs your assistance for the same medical reasons. The use of sick time to care for a family member is at the sole discretion of the employee. Part-time employees are entitled to a pro- rated number of paid sick days based upon the number of regularly scheduled hours in a 32- hour workweek. Sick time will continue to accrue to a maximum of 140 hours, or 17.5 days. Employees are also entitled to use their accrued and unused sick leave to care for an ill spouse, child, registered domestic partner, child of registered domestic partner, or parent under the same terms and conditions as apply to the use of sick leave for the employee’s own illness. Additional leave time may be available as an accommodation for a qualified disability, in keeping with WFC’s American with Disabilities Act and Amendment Act policies. Certain California cities and counties have specific sick time ordinances. WFC adheres to all applicable local ordinances.
Paid Sick Time. The Executive will be awarded paid sick days in accordance with Company policy.

If personal days are not used in the year that they are carried over they will automatically expire without notice and will not be purchased.
